Despacho económico de generación termoeléctrica usando métodos de sensibilidad AC.

La generación eléctrica está ligada a factores técnicos propios de cada proceso de transformación de la energía y también a factores económicos que aquello genera, mientras menos costoso sea el producir electricidad, esta se puede generar a mayor cantidad satisfaciendo cada vez más a una mayor cantidad de usuarios, es decir cubriendo la demanda de potencia del sistema con costos reducidos. Esta se convierte en la gran tarea por realizar para operadores de los SEP, la cual es conocida como el Despacho Económico de Generación. En este trabajo se presentan dos métodos de resolución del despacho económico, cada uno de estos tiene su propia formulación para considerar las pérdidas de potencia que existen en la transmisión eléctrica en las redes eléctricas. Los métodos implementados son Lambda iterativo y Jacobiano, los cuales permiten determinar la penalización que se aplica a los generadores tras incrementarse las pérdidas en el sistema de potencia; en ambos casos es necesario primero conocer la solución del flujo de carga del sistema. Los resultados obtenidos para un sistema de prueba indican que el método Lambda iterativo entrega un menor costo de operación a un menor número de iteraciones, lo cual representa ahorro económico y computacional de cálculo.Electricity generation is linked to technical factors characteristic of each energy transformation process and also the economic factors that it generates, the less expensive it is to produce electricity, this can be generated to a greater amount satisfying more and more a greater number of users, that is, covering the power demand of the system with reduced costs. This becomes the great task to be done for operators of the electrical systems, which is known as the Economic Power Dispatch. This paper presents two methods of resolution of the economic dispatch, each of these has its own formulation to consider the power losses that exist in the electrical transmission in the electric networks. The implemented methods are iterative Lambda and the Jacobian, which allow determine the penalty applied to the generators after the losses in the power system have increased; in both cases it is necessary first to know the solution of the load flow of the system. The results obtained for a test system indicate that the iterative Lambda method solves a lower operating cost at a lower number of iterations, which represents economic and computational savings of calculation

Participación de enfermería en el equipo interdisciplinario de salud

La interdisciplina se aplica a la actividad realizada en forma conjunta por especialistas de distintas disciplinas científicas. Definición que puede aplicarse en el ámbito de la salud, dado que múltiples son las disciplinas que en él intervienen. Para trabajar desde un modelo alternativo de salud, la visión interdisciplinaria es fundamental, ya que es de la única forma de ver al paciente como protagonista del proceso salud-enfermedad y de una manera integral. La constante colaboración con profesionales de diversas disciplinas trabajando juntos, compartiendo información, conocimiento y habilidades, perfecciona la labor de todo el equipo de salud, incluidos los enfermeros. Además el enfoque multicausal ayuda a mejorar la calidad de atención del paciente. El profesional de enfermería tiene un conocimiento integral del paciente por el tiempo que pasa con él y que otros profesionales no pueden tener dado el tiempo limitado que se encuentran en el servicio. Este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar cuál es la participación de enfermería en el equipo interdisciplinario de salud del Hospital Central de Mendoza, en el segundo semestre del año 2012. Land–atmosphere coupling in El Niño influence over South America

This study addresses the role of soil moisture and its interaction with the overlying atmosphere in setting up climate anomalies over South America during El Niño years using observations as well as Atmospheric General Circulation Model (AGCM) simulations. It is found that during summertime land–atmosphere interaction is instrumental in setting the spatial pattern and sign of surface air temperature anomalies, and increases substantially the amplitude of precipitation anomalies particularly in southeastern South America. Thus, in order to improve the seasonal forecasts over South America it is necessary to represent properly not only the teleconnection processes but also the regional land–atmosphere interactions

Catheter-Related Acremonium kiliense Fungemia in a Patient with Ulcerative Colitis under Treatment with Infliximab

Acremonium spp. are filamentous, cosmopolitan fungi commonly isolated from plant debris and soil. They are infrequent pathogens in humans. Acremonium fungemia has been reported in neutropenic patients associated with central venous catheters and in nonneutropenic patients receiving long-term total parenteral nutrition. TNF-α blockade is associated with fungal infections, but no Acremonium spp. infection had been reported up to the present. In this paper, we present a patient with ulcerative colitis who developed Acremonium kiliense fungemia associated with infliximab therapy while receiving total parenteral nutrition. The patient was successfully treated with voriconazole. Acremonium sp. infection must be suspected as another cause of fungal infection in patients under treatment with infliximab

Social education: Complementary reflections to a necessary academic education

El presente artículo aborda algunas reflexiones para la formación y el ejercicio profesional de las educadoras y los educadores sociales en el contexto de Uruguay y Argentina. De las múltiples perspectivas que pueden considerarse, se opta por aspectos que no pueden reducirse exclusivamente a la formación académica en el sentido convencional, sino que responden a procesos complejos de construcción que involucran posicionamientos y disposiciones que apelan a las características subjetivas de las educadoras y los educadores sociales: el carácter político de la práctica educativa, la sensibilidad humana en este quehacer y la relación entre teoría y práctica. Este trabajo surge de la sistematización y resignificación de diálogos y debates, epistolares y presenciales, entre los autores. El texto pretende ser una recomendación cálida, sincera y apasionada que se construye a partir de experiencias profesionales, académicas y teóricas para compartirlas con quienes se suman o transitan el camino de la educación social.This article deals with some reflections regarding training and professional practice of social educators in the Uruguayan and Argentinian contexts. From the multiple perspectives that could be considered, the text examines aspects that cannot be reduced exclusively to academic education in the conventional sense, but respond to complex construction processes that involve positions and dispositions that appeal to the subjective characteristics of social educators: the political quality of educational practice, human sensitivity in this task and the relationship between theory and practice. This piece derives from the systematization and resignification of epistolary and face-to-face dialogues and debates among the authors. The text aims to be a warm, sincere and passionate recommendation that is built on professional, academic and theoretical experiences to be shared with those who join or walk the path of social education.
