In this paper we aim at proving that the partimen genre existed\ud as a typology within the Galician-Portuguese lyric poetry although it is considered\ud as just the adaptation of a foreign genre and did not have much success\ud (it consists of just two texts). For our purpose, we will study the classic\ud and medieval antecedents which gave rise to this dialogic genre, the birth\ud and developmente of this typology in the Occitan and French areas and the\ud relationship that trobadors and trouvères –the authors of partimens– maintained\ud with the Peninsular troubadours. Another objective will be to analyse\ud the connections between partimen and tenson, the two existing genres, and\ud between partimen and cansó as these two share the subject matter of love.\ud Finally, we will tackle the partimens by P. Amigo de Sevilha-Garcia Martins\ud and J. Baveca-P. Amigo de Sevilha from a typological perspective

On Self-Organized Criticality and Synchronization in Lattice Models of Coupled Dynamical Systems

Lattice models of coupled dynamical systems lead to a variety of complex behaviors. Between the individual motion of independent units and the collective behavior of members of a population evolving synchronously, there exist more complicated attractors. In some cases, these states are identified with self-organized critical phenomena. In other situations, with clusterization or phase-locking. The conditions leading to such different behaviors in models of integrate-and-fire oscillators and stick-slip processes are reviewed.Comment: 41 pages. Plain LaTeX. Style included in main file. Mereotopological Analysis of Formal Concepts in Security Ontologies

    Get PDF
In this paper an analysis of security ontologies, using an mereotopological interpretation of the relationship amongst their classes, based on the entailment in the ontology, is presented. The analysis is carried out by means of a graphical tool (called Paella) that implements such an interpretation and it can suggest the potential debugging of anomalies. The analysis also suggests how to interpret the representational anomalies.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación TIN2009-0949

Reconciling Knowledge in Social Tagging Web Services

    Get PDF
Sometimes we want to search for new information about topics but we can not find relevant results using our own knowledge (for example, our personal bookmarks). A potential solution could be the use of knowledge from other users to find what we are searching for. This solution implies that we can achieve some agreement on implicit semantics used by the other users. We call it Reconciliation of Knowledge. The aim of this paper is to show an agent-based method which lets us reconcile two different knowledge basis (associated with tagging systems) into a common language, obtaining a new one that allows the reconcilitiation of (part of) this knowledge. The agents use Formal Concept Analysis concepts and tools and it has been implemented on the JADE multiagent platform.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación TIN2009-0949

TPU Cloud-Based Generalized U-Net for Eye Fundus Image Segmentation

    Get PDF
Medical images from different clinics are acquired with different instruments and settings. To perform segmentation on these images as a cloud-based service we need to train with multiple datasets to increase the segmentation independency from the source. We also require an ef cient and fast segmentation network. In this work these two problems, which are essential for many practical medical imaging applications, are studied. As a segmentation network, U-Net has been selected. U-Net is a class of deep neural networks which have been shown to be effective for medical image segmentation. Many different U-Net implementations have been proposed. With the recent development of tensor processing units (TPU), the execution times of these algorithms can be drastically reduced. This makes them attractive for cloud services. In this paper, we study, using Google's publicly available colab environment, a generalized fully con gurable Keras U-Net implementation which uses Google TPU processors for training and prediction. As our application problem, we use the segmentation of Optic Disc and Cup, which can be applied to glaucoma detection. To obtain networks with a good performance, independently of the image acquisition source, we combine multiple publicly available datasets (RIM-One V3, DRISHTI and DRIONS). As a result of this study, we have developed a set of functions that allow the implementation of generalized U-Nets adapted to TPU execution and are suitable for cloud-based service implementation.

Introduction: brain stroke is an epidemic in industrialized nations, being one of the main causes of mortality in the western world; the number one cause of disability and number two cause of dementia in adults. The care provided during the acute phase is highly developed, but due to the great personal, family, health, social and labor impact that it causes, continuity is also needed after hospital discharge, which guarantees care to patients and their families, in which the nursing profession plays a fundamental role. Objective: to analyze the transitional care provided to those persons who have suffered an ischemic stroke, as well as their families and/or caregivers. Methodology: narrative review through use of a bibliographic search, focused on the three areas of intervention chosen, in the data base of “Ciencias de la Salud” (Health Sciences): PubMed, Cinahl and Cuiden, and in the search engine Academic Google. Also, the web sites for The Ministry of Health and Social Policy, the Spanish Stroke Federation, and the Spanish Neurological Nursing Society were consulted, and the following online versions of Spanish journalistic publications were reviewed: Nursing Goals, Investigations Nure, Nursing Role and Clinical Nursing. Results: are presented in relation to the three areas of intervention chosen: adjustment of stroke patients in performing activities of daily living, emotional patient care and educational support to the family. Discussion: transitional care helps the patient reintegrate into their way of life and helps families adapt to the new situation. Regardless, care is fragmented in clinical practice. Some suggestions for improvement, such as the creation of the case management nurse or home care programs are insufficient and more studies are needed as to their efficiency
