On the 12th of November 2014, the Rosetta Philae Lander descended to make the first soft touchdown on the surface of a comet – comet 67P/Churyumov- Gerasimenko. That soft touchdown did occur but due to the failure in the firing of its two harpoons, Philae bounced and travelled across the comet making contact with the surface twice more before finally landing in a shaded rocky location somewhere on the southern hemisphere of the comet. The search campaign, led by ESA, involved multiple teams across Europe with a wide range of techniques used in support of it. This search campaign would continue through 2015 where a prime candidate on the surface was identified and on into 2016 to end on the 2nd of September 2016 when a definitive and conclusive image was taken of the lander on the surface of the comet, confirming the prime candidate to indeed be Philae

Institutional entrepreneurship, governance, and poverty: Insights from emergency medical response servicesin India

We present an in-depth case study of GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute, an Indian public–private partnership (PPP), which successfully brought emergency medical response to remote and urban settings. Drawing insights from the case, we investigate how the organization established itself through institutional entrepreneurship using a process conceptualized as opportunity framing, entrenchment, and propagation. The case and context highlight the need for innovation in organizational design and governance modes to create a new opportunity that connects state actors, private healthcare providers, and the public at large. We consider the role of open innovation and novel business models in creating these service platforms. The implications of our findings for the literature on PPPs, institutional entrepreneurship, inclusive and open innovation, and organizational design in base of the pyramid contexts are discussed

ABSTRACT In this paper, winter hydrography and dynamics off western Galicia is described combining on board and satellite measurements during downwelling season. In upper waters (0-50 m), four features have been distinguished by their different physical properties, being from coast to ocean: a local upwelling near Cape Silleiro originated by divergence of coastal currents, the Western Iberian Buoyant Plume (WIBP), mainly originated by the Miño Miño runoff, a transitional frontal zone with great mesoscale activity, and finally the Iberian Poleward Current (IPC), which are representative of this zone in winter. The high correspondence between on board surface fluorescence and satellite chlorophyll a measurements is quantified. An analysis of spatial variability of central, intermediate and deep water masses is also included
