Proyecto 300 hechos de lengua; la historia del catalán al alcance de todos

L’any 2014, la Direcció General de Política Lingüística, juntament amb el Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística i el programa del Tricentenari, impulsa el projecte 300 fets de llengua. Aquesta iniciativa, emmarcada en la commemoració del Tricentenari dels fets de l’11 de Setembre de 1714, divulga la història del català de manera lúdica, materialitzada en un joc de taula, un concurs participatiu, un relat per a les xarxes socials i els mitjans de comunicació, i una viquimarató.In 2014, the Directorate General for Language Policy,together with the Consortium for Language Normalisationand Tricentenari (Tercentenary) programme, launchedthe 300 Language Facts project. Las Nits de la Llengua al Món Digital: la experiencia de hacer crecer la Wikipedia en catalán y en occitano

El català, com a llengua digital, té una cita anual ja plenament consolidada que ha arribat a la tercera edició a la tardor del 2015: la Nit de la Llengua al Món Digital. També l’occità, des de l’última convocatòria. L’activitat, ideada conjuntament per la Direcció General de Política Lingüística (en endavant, DGPL) del Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya i Amical Wikimedia, consisteix en una acció intensiva d'edició de la Viquipèdia en català i en occità, una viquimarató, que afavoreix el prestigi de les llengües catalana i occitana. La Viquipèdia és un aparador fonamental per observar la salut del català i l’occità a Internet, tant pel nombre de visites que rep com pel seu pes dins de la xarxa. Aquest article recull l’experiència dels tres anys de viquimaratons i el seu impacte en la presència del català i l’occità al món digital.As a digital language Catalan already has a firmly established annual event which reached its third edition in the autumn of 2015: the Nit de la Llengua al Món Digital (Language in the Digital World Night). The activity, devised jointly by the Directorate General for Language Policy in the Government of Catalonia’s Ministry of Culture and Amical Wikimedia, consists of intensive publishing and editing of Wikipedia in Catalan and Occitan, a Wikithon, which enhances the status of the Catalan and Occitan languages. Wikipedia is a key window for observing the health of Catalan and Occitan on the internet in terms of both the number of visits it receives and its online importance. This article describes the experience of three years of Wikithons and their impact on the presence of Catalan and Occitan in the digital world.El catalán, como lengua digital, tiene una cita anual ya plenamente consolidada que ha llegado a la tercera edición en otoño de 2015: la Nit de la Llengua al Món Digital (Noche de la Lengua en el Mundo Digital). También el occitano, desde la última convocatoria. La actividad, ideada conjuntamente por la Dirección General de Política Lingüística del Departamento de Cultura de la Generalitat de Cataluña y Amical Wikimedia, consiste en una acción intensiva de edición de Wikipedia en catalán y en occitano, una wikimaratón, que favorece el prestigio de las lenguas catalana y occitana. La Wikipedia es un escaparate fundamental para observar la salud del catalán y el occitano en Internet, tanto por el número de visitas que recibe como por su peso dentro de la red. Este artículo recoge la experiencia de los tres años de wikimaratones y su impacto en la presencia del catalán y el occitano en el mundo digital

A complex scenario of tuberculosis transmission is revealed through genetic and epidemiological surveys in Porto

Tuberculosis (TB) incidence is decreasing worldwide and eradication is becoming plausible. In low-incidence countries, intervention on migrant populations is considered one of the most important strategies for elimination. However, such measures are inappropriate in European areas where TB is largely endemic, such as Porto in Portugal.
