The present work entitled “Assisted Human Reproduction Techniques. Proposal of lege ferenda in the Cuban legal system”, brings together some legal reflections regarding the application and development of assisted human reproduction techniques and their repercussion for the Law. Assisted human reproduction techniques consist of the manipulation of gametes and embryos through various procedures, the most common being artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic microinjection. Its application displays ethical, moral, psychological and legal repercussions, establishing differences in its treatment. Law as a social creation is not immutable or removable, but temporary, variable and dynamic since it must adapt to all social, cultural, political, economic and scientific changes; However, over time it is perceived that the Law does not run at the same pace of science. Due to the results implemented, adjusting the legal system to the development achieved by the application of assisted human reproduction techniques, through the study of the dissimilar legal problems that it causes, such as the determination of maternal and / or paternal affiliation, constitutes a pressing need in the current Cuban law system. In Cuba, like several countries in South America, there is no legislation in this regard, so the formulation of a special law designed to regulate the application and development of techniques is a pending task in the legislative improvement of Cuban law. The general objective is to base the need for legal regulation of assisted human reproduction techniques in the Cuban legal system.

Effects of Whole-Body Vibration Therapy in Patients with Fibromyalgia: A Systematic Literature Review
Objective. To review the literature on the effects of whole-body vibration therapy in patients with fibromyalgia. Design. Systematic
literature review. Patients. Patients with fibromyalgia. Methods. An electronic search of the literature in four medical databases was
performed to identify studies on whole-body vibration therapy that were published up to the 15th of January 2015. Results. Eight
articles satisfied the inclusion and exclusion criteria and were analysed. According to the Dutch CBO guidelines, all selected trials
had a B level of evidence. The main outcomes that were measured were balance, fatigue, disability index, health-related quality of
life, and pain.Whole-body vibration appeared to improve the outcomes, especially balance and disability index. Conclusion.Wholebody
vibration could be an adequate treatment for fibromyalgia as a main therapy or added to a physical exercise programme as it
could improve balance, disability index, health-related quality of life, fatigue, and pain. However, this conclusion must be treated
with caution because the paucity of trials and the marked differences between existing trials in terms of protocol, intervention, and
measurement tools hampered the comparison of the trials

Clinical guideline SEOM: cancer of unknown primary site
Cancer of unknown primary site is a histologically confirmed cancer which is manifested in advanced stage, with no identifiable primary site after the use of standard diagnostic procedures. Patients are initially placed into one of categories based upon the examination of the initial biopsy: adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, neuroendocrine carcinoma and poorly differentiated carcinoma. Appropriate patient management requires an understanding of several clinicopathologic features that help to identify several subsets of patients with more responsive tumors
Plant water status indicators for detecting water stress in pomegranate trees
Measurements obtained by the continuous monitoring of trunk diameter fluctuations
were compared with discrete measurements of midday stem water potential (stem)
and midday leaf conductance (gl) in adult pomegranate trees (Punica granatum (L.) cv.
Mollar de Elche). Control plants (T0) were irrigated daily above their crop water
requirements in order to attain non‐limiting soil water conditions, while T1 plants
were subjected to water stress by depriving them of irrigation water for 34 days, after
which time irrigation was restored and plant recovery was studied for 7 days. T1 plants
showed a substantial degree of water stress, which developed slowly. Maximum daily
trunk shrinkage (MDS) was identified to be the most suitable plant‐based indicator for
irrigation scheduling in adult pomegranate trees, because its signal:noise
((T1/T0):coefficient of variation) ratio was higher than that for stem
((T1/T0):coefficient of variation) and gl ((T0/T1):coefficient of variation). MDS
increased in response to water stress, but when the stem fell below −1.67 MPa, the
MDS values decreased. This research was supported by CICYT/FEDER
