    This article seeks to answer the following question: Does CBT offer practical techniques and support in clinical evaluation and management, capable of helping to understand anxious phenomena in children? This study aims to analyze anxiety disorders, seeking to relate them in the context of epidemiology and symptomatology studies and propose cognitive-behavioral evaluation and intervention as treatment of these anxiety disorders. This is a theoretical research based on the literature review that concluded about the adequacy of psychotherapeutic strategies proposed by CBT in the clinical management of anxious children.Este artículo busca responder a la siguiente pregunta: ¿La TCC ofrece técnicas prácticas y apoyo en la evaluación y manejo clínico, capaces de ayudar a comprender los fenómenos ansiosos en los niños? Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los trastornos de ansiedad, buscando relacionarlos en el contexto de los estudios epidemiológicos y sintomatología y proponer la evaluación e intervención cognitivo-conductual como tratamiento de estos trastornos de ansiedad. Se trata de una investigación teórica basada en la revisión bibliográfica que concluyó sobre la adecuación de las estrategias psicoterapéuticas propuestas por la TCC en el manejo clínico de niños ansiosos.O presente artigo busca responder a seguinte questão: A TCC oferece técnicas e subsídios práticos, na avaliação e manejo clínico, capazes de ajudar a compreensão dos fenômenos ansiosos em crianças?     Based on theoretical research, this article seeks to demonstrate the influence of changes in a liquid society that differentiates post-modernity on the formation of personality, the behavior of students and teachers. The text is based on the contribution of Bauman's thought on liquid society, where the dissolution of its values ​​is experienced, which previously showed solidity in relation to the references, mainly focused on education, and today is presented in an ambiguous way. In this sense, the study aims to analyze and reflect on the impacts of this liquid world on the educational processes of personality, student and teacher education. It was concluded that, in a society that challenges stable standards, in order to guide a walk based on more hopeful beliefs with a perspective of the future, it is necessary to have answers that can flow from a liquefaction to a plasticity capable of recovering values ​​and innovating as ways of action that can guarantee an effective educational process.Basado en una investigación teórica, este artículo busca demostrar la influencia de las transformaciones de una sociedad líquida que caracteriza la posmodernidad en la formación de la personalidad, el comportamiento de estudiantes y profesores. El texto se basa en la aportación del pensamiento de Bauman, sobre la sociedad neta, donde se vive la disolución de sus valores, que antes manifestaba una solidez ante las referencias, centradas principalmente en la educación, y hoy se presentan de forma ambigua. En este sentido, el estudio pretende analizar y reflexionar sobre los impactos de este mundo neto en los procesos educativos de la personalidad, la acción del alumno y del profesorado. Se concluyó que ante una sociedad que desafía estándares estables para dirigir un caminar basado en creencias más esperanzadoras con una perspectiva de futuro, es necesario poder fluir de una licuefacción a una plasticidad capaz de rescatar valores e innovar las formas de acción que puedan garantizar un proceso educativo efectivo.A partir de uma pesquisa teórica, este artigo procura demonstrar a influência das transformações de uma sociedade líquida que caracteriza a pós-modernidade sobre a formação da personalidade, o comportamento de alunos e professores. O texto apoia-se no contributo do pensamento de Bauman, sobre a sociedade líquida, onde se vive a dissolução de seus valores, que antes manifestavam uma solidez diante dos referenciais, principalmente voltados para a educação, e hoje se apresentam de modo ambíguo. Nesse sentido, o estudo tem como objetivo analisar e refletir sobre os impactos desse mundo líquido sobre os processos educativos de formação da personalidade, do aluno e da ação de professores. Concluiu-se que diante de uma sociedade que desafia padrões estáveis para direcionar um caminhar pautado em crenças mais esperançosas com perspectiva de futuro, torna-se necessário repostas que consigam fluir de uma liquefação para uma plasticidade capaz de resgatar valores e inovar as formas de ação que possam garantir um processo educativo eficaz

    This article aims to analyze the theories of memory, self-regulation and self-efficacy, seeking to relate them in the context of studies on teaching methodology. This is an essay in the context of social cognition studies in interface with teaching methodology, aiming to provide subsidies for a better understanding of psychic functioning, in particular the relationship between memory and learning self-regulation, aiming to favor performance in relation to learning in the classroom. self-efficacy perspective. In this way, memory will occupy itself by storing information, obtained from knowledge, evoking it and guiding man through conscious self-regulation, a process by which he will develop new cognitive skills. Based on the recognition of the variety of its potentialities as a result, self-efficacy, taken as a belief, will improve and issue judgments regarding the qualification of each of the cognitive capacities, properly considered, presenting, therefore, a total integration of the person, mainly of your capabilities.  Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las teorías de la memoria, la autorregulación y la autoeficacia, buscando relacionarlas en el contexto de estudios sobre metodología de la enseñanza. Este es un ensayo en el contexto de los estudios de cognición social en interfaz con la metodología de la enseñanza, con el objetivo de proporcionar subsidios para una mejor comprensión del funcionamiento psíquico, en particular la relación entre la memoria y la autorregulación del aprendizaje, con el objetivo de favorecer el desempeño en relación con el aprendizaje en El aula Perspectiva de autoeficacia. De esta forma, la memoria se ocupará de almacenar información, obtenida del conocimiento, evocarla y guiar al ser humano a través de la autorregulación consciente, proceso mediante el cual desarrollará nuevas habilidades cognitivas. A partir del reconocimiento de la variedad de sus potencialidades como resultado, la autoeficacia, tomada como creencia, mejorará y emitirá juicios sobre la calificación de cada una de las capacidades cognitivas, debidamente consideradas, presentando, por tanto, una integración total de las persona, principalmente de sus capacidades.    O presente artigo tem como propósito analisar as teorias da memória, autorregulação e autoeficácia, buscando relacioná-los no contexto dos estudos sobre metodologia do ensino. Trata-se de um ensaio no âmbito dos estudos de cognição social em interface com a metodologia do ensino, visando fornecer subsídios para melhor compreensão do funcionamento psíquico, em particular da relação entre memória e autorregulação de aprendizagem, objetivando favorecer o desempenho frente à aprendizagem na perspectiva da autoeficácia.  Deste modo, a memória ocupar-se-á por armazenar informações, obtidas do conhecimento, evocá-las e orientar o ser humano por uma consciente autorregulação, processo pelo qual desenvolverá habilidades cognitivas novas.     Anxiety and depression symptoms in university students from public institutions of higher education in Brazil during the covid-19 pandemic: a multicenter study

    This is a multicenter, cross-sectional study carried out with students regularly enrolled in undergraduate courses at eight Brazilian IFES. Data collection was conducted between October 2021 and February 2022 using an online self-completed questionnaire, which addressed sociodemographic and academic characteristics, lifestyle habits, and health conditions. Symptoms of anxiety and depression were assessed using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21). Variables were analyzed descriptively using frequency distribution and Pearson’s chi-square test. To estimate the prevalence of symptoms of anxiety and depression, the proportion and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) were used. The level of adopted statistical significance was 5%

    Rationale, study design, and analysis plan of the Alveolar Recruitment for ARDS Trial (ART): Study protocol for a randomized controlled trial

    Background: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is associated with high in-hospital mortality. Alveolar recruitment followed by ventilation at optimal titrated PEEP may reduce ventilator-induced lung injury and improve oxygenation in patients with ARDS, but the effects on mortality and other clinical outcomes remain unknown. This article reports the rationale, study design, and analysis plan of the Alveolar Recruitment for ARDS Trial (ART). Methods/Design: ART is a pragmatic, multicenter, randomized (concealed), controlled trial, which aims to determine if maximum stepwise alveolar recruitment associated with PEEP titration is able to increase 28-day survival in patients with ARDS compared to conventional treatment (ARDSNet strategy). We will enroll adult patients with ARDS of less than 72 h duration. The intervention group will receive an alveolar recruitment maneuver, with stepwise increases of PEEP achieving 45 cmH(2)O and peak pressure of 60 cmH2O, followed by ventilation with optimal PEEP titrated according to the static compliance of the respiratory system. In the control group, mechanical ventilation will follow a conventional protocol (ARDSNet). In both groups, we will use controlled volume mode with low tidal volumes (4 to 6 mL/kg of predicted body weight) and targeting plateau pressure <= 30 cmH2O. The primary outcome is 28-day survival, and the secondary outcomes are: length of ICU stay; length of hospital stay; pneumothorax requiring chest tube during first 7 days; barotrauma during first 7 days; mechanical ventilation-free days from days 1 to 28; ICU, in-hospital, and 6-month survival. ART is an event-guided trial planned to last until 520 events (deaths within 28 days) are observed. These events allow detection of a hazard ratio of 0.75, with 90% power and two-tailed type I error of 5%. All analysis will follow the intention-to-treat principle. Discussion: If the ART strategy with maximum recruitment and PEEP titration improves 28-day survival, this will represent a notable advance to the care of ARDS patients.     To construct and validate a virtual learning object (VLO) on intestinal elimination stoma. Methods. Applied, descriptive and quantitative study. In 2014, eight stoma therapists and eight experts in computer science took part of the research. The VLO included four steps: i) planning, ii) construction of VLO and changes of content; iii) development of dynamic, and iv) conclusion and analysis. The VLO was inserted into the Moodle virtual learning environment. The ergonomic and pedagogical validation of the VLO was performed. Results. The experts appreciated the VLO satisfactorily, and scored it between good and full agreement. Conclusion. The VLO on intestinal elimination stoma is a tool that can be implemented at undergraduate programs in nursing and continuing education programs for nurses in clinical practice, contributing significantly to improve the theoretical skills necessary for the care of ostomized people safely, with quality and enabling self-care.Objetivo. Construir e validar um objeto virtual de aprendizagem (OVA) sobre estomas intestinais de eliminação. Métodos. Pesquisa aplicada, descritiva e quantitativa. Em 2014 participaram oito Estomaterapeutas e oito especialistas em Informática. O OVA contemplou quatro etapas: i) planejamento, ii) construção do OVA e mudanças dos conteúdos; iii) desenvolvimento da dinâmica, e iv) conclusão e análise. O OVA foi inserido no ambiente virtual de aprendizagem Moodle. Realizou-se a validação ergonômica e pedagógica do OVA. Resultados. Os especialistas apreciaram satisfatoriamente o OVA, o acordo de especialistas pontuou-se entre a boa concordância a concordância plena. Conclusão. O OVA sobre estomas intestinais de eliminação é uma ferramenta que pode ser implementada no Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem e nos programas de educação permanente para enfermeiros na prática clínica, contribuindo significativamente a melhorar a competência teórica necessária para o cuidado de pessoas estomizadas de forma segura, com qualidade e possibilitando o autocuidado.Objetivo. Construir y validar un Objeto Virtual de Aprendizaje (OVA) sobre estomas intestinales. Métodos. Investigación aplicada, descriptiva y cuantitativa. En 2014 participaron ocho estomaterapeutas y ocho especialistas en informática. El OVA contempló cuatro etapas: i) planeación, ii) construcción del OVA y cambios de los contenidos, iii) desarrollo de la dinámica, y iv) conclusión y análisis. El OVA se añadió al ambiente virtual de aprendizaje Moodle. Se realizó la validación ergonómica y pedagógica del OVA. Resultados. Los especialistas apreciaron satisfactoriamente el OVA; de hecho, el acuerdo de expertos se puntuó entre la buena concordancia a la concordancia plena. Conclusión.     Retrospective Insights of the COVID-19 Epidemic in the Major Latin American City, S&atilde;o Paulo, Southeastern Brazil

    S&atilde;o Paulo is the financial center of Brazil, with a population of over 12 million, that receives travelers from all over the world for business and tourism. It was the first city in Brazil to report a case of COVID-19 that rapidly spread across the city despite the implementation of the restriction measures. Despite many reports, much is still unknown regarding the genomic diversity and transmission dynamics of this virus in the city of S&atilde;o Paulo. Thus, in this study, we provide a retrospective overview of the COVID-19 epidemic in S&atilde;o Paulo City, Southeastern, Brazil, by generating a total of 9995 near-complete genome sequences from all the city&rsquo;s different macro-regions (North, West, Central, East, South, and Southeast). Our analysis revealed that multiple independent introduction events of different variants (mainly Gamma, Delta, and Omicron) occurred throughout time. Additionally, our estimates of viral movement within the different macro-regions further suggested that the East and the Southeast regions were the largest contributors to the Gamma and Delta viral exchanges to other regions. Meanwhile, the North region had a higher contribution to the dispersion of the Omicron variant. Together, our results reinforce the importance of increasing SARS-CoV-2 genomic monitoring within the city and the country to track the real-time evolution of the virus and to detect earlier any eventual emergency of new variants of concern that could undermine the fight against COVID-19 in Brazil and worldwide
