Effect of various sugars desiccation and freezing

Abstract During a 7-day conditioning treatment of clumps of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) somatic embryos on a medium containing 0.75 M sucrose, the fructose and glucose concentrations remained constant, whereas a ten-fold and twenty-fold increase were noted for sucrose and starch concentrations, respectively. The only new sugar detected was arabinose which remained a t a low concentration. After conditioning on media supplemented with various sugars and polyols at similar osmolarities, recovery of clumps of embryo growth was satisfactory except with ribose. After a n additional desiccation period, survival was optimal with fructose, galactose, sucrose and glucose, intermediate with maltose and lower with other compounds. When embryos were cryopreserved without previous desiccation, survival was noted after conditioning treatment with sucrose only. In contrast, when freezing was performed after dehydration, survival could b e obtained with several substances. It w a s optimal with sucrose, fructose, galactose and raffinose but w a s possible also with sorbitol and glucose. Drainage adit under Strahov tunnel

Import 22/07/2015Strahovský tunel je důležitou součástí vnitřního městského okruhu v Praze s vysokou intenzitou dopravy. Dlouhodobé omezení dopravy v tomto tunelu by výrazně zkomplikovalo dopravní situaci v hlavním městě. Původní odvodnění Strahovského tunelu se zaneslo a přestalo plnit svoji funkci. Výstavba odvodňovací štoly, která vytvoří hydraulický propad a neomezí dopravu bylo vybráno jako nejlepší řešení. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá historií, realizací a přínosem tohoto díla.The Strahov tunnel is an important part of the internal city ring in Prague with high traffic volumes. Long-term restriction of traffic in this tunnel would significantly complicate the traffic situation in the capital. The original drainage of the Strahov tunnel ceased to fulfill its function. The construction of drainage tunnels, which creates a hydraulic fall and reduces the transport was selected as the best solution. Výsledkem mé diplomové práce je karetní šifrovací hra Tajný vzkaz pro Alquista inspirovaná dramatem R.U.R. z pera českého spisovatele Karla Čapka. Čtenáře přesune do dystopické budoucnosti, kde v roli starého Alquista pátrá po tajném vynálezu samotného tvůrce robotů, Alberta Rossuma. Nejde přitom o nic menšího, než o spásu světa, který ovládli vzbouření roboti. Touto prací jsem chtěl vzdát čest ikonickému dílu vědecko-fantastické literatury a parafrázovat jej pro současného čtenáře interaktivní formou. Využívám k tomu principy tzv. únikových, šifrovacích či Point and Click her, nelineární způsob čtení známý z tzv. gamebooků a nezvyklé tiskové metody.ObhájenoOutput of my diploma thesis is an escape card game called Secret Message for Alquist inspired by the worldknown sci-fi drama R.U.R. written by czech playwright Karel Čapek. Reader is invited to dystopian future, where robots overcome a human civilization. Main goal is to help the only survivor, old man Alquist, to find a secret invention of Albert Rossum, long dead genius and creator of robots. There is nothing minor at stake then a fate of the whole world. My goal was update Čapek's masterpiece and bring it a new interactive twist while broadening the fictional world of Rossum's Universal Robots. For such task I've designed a card game combining principles of logic puzzles, Point and Click games and non-linear reading known from so called gamebooks. I used a semi-transparent print of plastic foil to create a futuristic look and unique game design

The letter of credit contract and the collection contract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the Direct Debit Contract and the Letter of Credit. A Letter of Credit is a special payment instrument issued as a rule by a bank that the principal has undertaken to pay to the person in whose interest the Letter of Credit is open and designated as the authorized amount up to the amount agreed. The Direct Debit is the commitment of the collector of receivables to obtain from the third party a receipt of a sum of money or other Direct Debit. Current legislation, contained in the Civil Code, took over the legal regulation of the Letter of Credit and the Direct Debit from the Commercial Code without any major changes. Both institutes show a number of identical and different elements. From a practical point of view, it is not possible to look for serious application problems in the Letter of Credit or Direct Debit. Exploring discourse strategies in contemporary advertising

This diploma thesis deals with an analysis of advertising discourse focusing specifically on the use of language means. To begin with, this thesis defines theoretical knowledge of advertisement and individual language means. Subsequently, I find these language means in the particular cases and comment on their use. The thesis briefly discusses the gender issue in advertising discourse and shows visually different forms of promotion of textual communication act. The aim of the thesis is to present current trends of language means used in the advertising which help its persuasive function

Jak se stát pozitivním je ilustrovaný edukativní materiál, který upozorňuje na problematiku HIV/AIDS v České republice. Je určen především studentům základních a středních škol. Pomocí úvodního komiksového příběhu a bohatě ilustrovaných kapitol předává znalosti o prevenci a případné léčbě HIV. Brožura je ve formátu A6 tištěná černobíle s barevnou obálkou a svázaná vazbou typu V1.
