On the computation of Bernstein–Sato ideals

    Get PDF
In this paper we compare the approach of Brianc¸onand Maisonobe for computing Bernstein–Sato ideals—based on computations in a Poincar´e–Birkhoff–Witt algebra—with the readily available method of Oaku and Takayama. We show that it can deal with interesting examples that have proved intractable so far.Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología BFM-2001-3164Junta de Andalucía FQM-33

Explicit Comparison Theorems for D -modules

We prove in an explicit way a duality formula between two A2-modules Mlog and Mflog associated to a plane curve and we give an application of this duality to the comparison between Mflog and the A2-module of rational functions along the curve. We treat the analytic case as well

Gevrey expansions of hypergeometric integrals II

We study integral representations of the Gevrey series solutions of irregular hypergeometric systems under certain assumptions. We prove that, for such systems, any Gevrey series solution, along a coordinate hyperplane of its singular support, is the asymptotic expansion of a holomorphic solution given by a carefully chosen integral representation.Comment: 27 pages, 2 figure

Área Académica de Gerencia de Proyectos, 2013.The Payroll Department joined a Global Service Center becoming responsible for processes from 10 countries within the Americas. The interrelated critical processes were handled independently, not only generating ineffective and inefficient services, but communication gaps as well. Applied Research was done in four phases: Phase 1, the project management capabilities were exposed. In Phase 2, the set of critical processes to be addressed with a focus on small projects were identified. For Phase 3, a methodological guide was created to carry out the projects based on the PMBOK ® and PRINCE2 ™. Finally in Phase 4, an implementation plan was defined for the proposed guide. The capabilities analysis, in Project Management, shows that the department leaders have the most hours of approved courses in a year and Payroll has led 35 projects. 17 critical processes were identified to be addressed with six small projects using the proposed methodological guide that promotes a culture of standardization and proactive behavior. The solution can be extended to other regions of Asia and Europe. It is recommended to start with a pilot program that incorporates an individual in charge of performing direct observations; this would facilitate the identification of waste on areas for improvement based on Lean culture

Enantiomeric separation of prothioconazole and prothioconazole-desthio by capillary electrophoresis. Degradation studies in environmental simples

In this work, two analytical methodologies by Capillary Electrophoresis were developed. The first one enabled the rapid and cost-effective enantioseparation of prothioconazole and was applied to the analysis of prothioconazole-based commercial agrochemical formulations. The second methodology enabled the simultaneous enantioseparation of prothioconazole and its metabolite prothioconazole-desthio and was applied to degradation studies of both compounds in soil and sand samples. The influence of several experimental variables was investigated to develop both methodologies. The separation of prothioconazole enantiomers was achieved in 4.5 min with a resolution of 2.8 employing a neutral cyclodextrin (heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)-?-cyclodextrin). Given the nature of prothioconazole-desthio, a neutral cyclodextrin cannot be used for its chiral separation. For this reason, the simultaneous enantioseparation of prothioconazole and prothioconazole-desthio was achieved in 5.5 min with resolution values of 1.9 and 8.2, respectively, using a negatively charged cyclodextrin (sulfated-?-cyclodextrin). The analytical characteristics of the developed methodologies were evaluated and both methods showed good performance to be applied to the quantitation of the enantiomers of prothioconazole in commercial agrochemical formulations (LOD 0.7 mg L-1) and to carry out degradation studies for both compounds in environmental matrices (LODs lower than 0.9 and 1.3 mg L-1 for prothioconazole and prothioconazole-desthio enantiomers, respectively). The recovery values obtained were in the range between 94-104 % for the agrochemical formulations, between 96-99 % for the sand samples and between 97-100 % for the soil samples

A vanishing theorem for a class of logarithmic D-modules

    Get PDF
Let OX (resp. DX) be the sheaf of holomorphic functions (resp. the sheaf of linear differential operators with holomorphic coefficients) on X = Cn. Let D X be a locally weakly quasi-homogeneous free divisor defined by a polynomial f. In this paper we prove that, locally, the annihilating ideal of 1/fk over DX is generated by linear differential operators of order 1 (for k big enough). For this purpose we prove a vanishing theorem for the extension groups of a certain logarithmic DX–module with OX. The logarithmic DX–module is naturally associated with D (see Notation 1.1). This result is related to the so called Logarithmic Comparison Theorem

We describe the Gevrey series solutions at singular points of the irregular hypergeometric system (GKZ system) associated with an affine monomial curve. We also describe the irregularity complex of such a system with respect to its singular support.Ministerio de Educación y CienciaJunta de Andalucí
