Rousseau, sade e casanova: estratégias de sensibilité pura e de libertinagem artificiosa

The article is an analysis of the narrative strategies of J.-J. Rousseau, D.F.A. Sade and G. Casanova regarding the conceptions of love and desire, related to the “truths of heart” and “illusionist excess”. From the idea of a rural autonomy in La Nouvelle Heloise by Rousseau – with its moralizing contraposition in relation to the artifices of the rural surroundings – such as sumptuous parties as love’s proof (or desire), in La double épreuve, by Sade, what is evaluated is the ethos of sensibility versus the libertine. The first one establishes the modern subjective positiveness; the second one fights against it in the name of the modern notion in constitution of desire and seduction. In Histoire de ma vie, Casanova proposes an alternative route, with the conception neither moralizing nor cerebral of the loving erotic encounter. It indicates a type of pleasure in the multiplicity of the moment, with no urge to domination. We point out to some consequences of these oppositions in the constitution of modern subjectivity.Análise das estratégias narrativas de J.-J. Rousseau, D.F.A. Sade e G. Casanova no que toca às concepções de amor e desejo, relacionadas às de “verdade do coração” e “excesso ilusionista”. Da ideia de autarquia rural, em La Nouvelle Heloïse, de Rousseau – com sua contraposição moralizante aos artifícios do meio urbano –, à de festas suntuosas como provas de amor (ou desejo), em La double épreuve, de Sade, o que se avalia é o ethos da sensibilité versus o libertino. O primeiro estabelece a positividade subjetiva moderna; o segundo a combate em nome da noção moderna, em constituição, do desejo e da sedução. Em Histoire de ma vie, Casanova propõe uma via alternativa, com a concepção nem moralizante, nem cerebral do encontro erótico-amoroso. Indica um modo de prazer na multiplicidade do aqui-e-agora, sem ganas de dominação. Apontamos consequências desses embates na constituição da subjetividade moderna

The Reconfiguration of Homme Fatal in The Third Millennium Joker Adaptions

The relevance of the Joker as a prominent character in popular culture and the film industry merited tremendous scholarly attention. It has been analyzed through the lenses of various critical theories, inter alia the Bakhtinian “carnival”, the Freudian psychoanalysis, and several others. Still, nearly there is no critical development of the Joker as a homme fatal. It is thus the novelty of my paper to do so; on the one hand, I aim to reconfigure the conceptualization of the homme fatal beyond its classical seductive and inveigling power within women’s world. Here, I endeavor to redefine the fatality of homme fatal from the perspective of the Joker, which is centralized more on an outlawed destructive personality far from being a sexually desirable man. I focus on the “fatal men” and “fatal rebel” by Mario Praz in his Romantic Agony (1933). My study focuses on the reconfiguration of homme fatal in two Joker adaptations: The Dark Knight (2008) and Suicide Squad (2016) thereby, I contend that the two jokers share common features with the classical homme fatal, most of which contribute to the comic-ization of their ‘fatality’

PENERAPAN KRITERIA PERSAMAAN PADA POKOKNYA DALAM SENGKETA MEREK J.CASANOVA (Studi Putusan Nomor 968/K/Pdt.Sus/HKI/2016)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang terkait dengan pengaturan kriteria persamaan pada pokoknya dalam Undang-Undang Merek dan penerapan kriteria persamaan pada pokoknya dalam kasus sengketa merek J.CASANOVA. Suatu penamaan merek harus didaftarkan dengan iktikad baik, karena sangat penting dalam persaingan bisnis dan reputasi. Merek juga harus memiliki daya pembeda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian normatif dengan pendekatan case study. Berdasarkan hasil riset,  penerapan kriteria persamaan pada pokoknya dapat dibuktikan didalam Putusan pada tingkat Kasasi tentang adanya persamaan bunyi dan persamaan pada kata yaitu kata “J.CASANOVA” dan “CASANOVA”. Pertimbangan Hakim dalam menyelesaikan kasus sengketa merek antara merek terkenal J.CASANOVA dengan merek CASANOVA pada Putusan Nomor 968/K/Pdt.Sus/HKI/2016 sudah tepat penerapan hukumnya karena telah terbukti bahwa merek “CASANOVA” telah beriktikad tidak baik dalam mendaftarkan mereknya yang mempunyai persamaan pada pokoknya dengan merek terkenal yaitu J.CASANOV

State religion and freedom : a comparative analysis

State religions form one of the main features of the international political landscape, but scholarly research into their dynamics and effects remains limited. This article aims to address this deficiency through a comparative examination of state religions and levels of political and religious freedom. The findings show that countries with a state religion have substantially lower levels of freedom across a range of measurements than countries with no state religion. The absence of any clear correlation to levels of human development, religious diversity and religiosity indicates a key causal role for the institutional mechanics of state religion itself

Assimetrias do crânio de javalis (Sus scrofa LINNAEUS, 1758)

Organisms can develop different kinds of asymmetry when deviations from expected perfect symmetry occur. Among others are fluctuating asymmetry (FA) and directional asymmetry (DA). FA represents small random differences between corresponding parts on the left and right sides of an individual in bilaterally paired structures. It is thought that FA reflects an organism's ability to cope with genetic and environmental stress during growth. DA occurs whenever one side on the plane of symmetry develops more than the other side, and has a genetic component. In this research, we examined the expression of morphological symmetry in 38 skulls of different age groups of wild boar (Sus scrofa), on their ventral aspect, using two-dimensional coordinates of 27 landmarks. Analyses showed the presence of significant FA and DA in the entire sample, detecting also distinctive differences between age groups. The obtained results show that the shape differences in different age groups could reasonably be a consequence of a response to environmental factors for FA and a masticatory lateralization for DA.Os organismos podem desenvolver diferentes tipos de assimetria quando ocorrem desvios da pefeita simetria esperada. Entre os diversos tipos de assimetria existentes duas merecem especial destaque: a flutuante (AF) e a directional (AD). A AF é representada por pequenas diferenças casuais entre as partes correspondents das laterais direita e esquerda de um indivíduo em estruturas pareadas bilateralmente; acredita-se que elas reflitam a habilidade de um organismo adaptar-se a fatores estressantes genéticos e ambientais observados durante o seu crescimentos. A AD ocorre quando um lado da assimetria plana desenvolve-se mais do que o outro e há um componente genético. No presente trabalho foi analisada a expresssão da simetria morfológica de 38 crânios de diferentes grupos etários de javalis (Sus scrofa), nos seus aspectos ventrais, com o emprego de duas coordenadas dimensionais de 27 pontos anatômicos homólogos. As análises efetuadas revelaram a existência de valores significantes de AF e AD em toda a amostra trabalhada, detectando inclusive diferenças entre os grupos etários. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que as diferentes formas observadas nos diferentes grupos etários podem ser consequência de uma resposta a fatores ambientais para a AF e a lateralização da mastigação para a AD
