This paper shearch to show which is the factors that take the agricultural producers of the Mato Grosso to plant the transgenic soybean in detriment of the conventional, a time that the adoption of soybean RR change the form of governance of the producers inside of this chain. Although to have indications of that the transgenic soybean goes to dominate the market national, it is importante to know if this already is being consolidated in Mato Grosso, since this state is one of most representative in the plantation of soybean of Brazil, being the region of Sorriso world-wide the producing greater of this commoditie in area. As it arrives in port theoretical to give sustentation to the work, we use the Economy of the Costs of Transactions (ECT). Ahead of the joined results together to some producers of Mato Grosso, it can be inferred that the area planted with transgenic soybean will not increase very in harvest 2007/8 and that one of the factors that had led to not increase of this area was low the productivity of the transgenic soybean front to the conventional.soja – transgênicos – ECT - soybean – transgenics, Crop Production/Industries,

Fungi of the genus Trichoderma are significantly important for promoting the growth of different plant species. Moreover, they have been connected to high nutrient absorption. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the initial development of seedlings of Brazilian firetree [Schizolobium parahyba var. amazonicum (Huber ex Ducke) Barneby] with application of Trichoderma spp. and phosphorus (P) rates. A randomized block design with seven replications was used, in a 4×5 factorial arrangement (strains and P rates); the P rates were applied using 0, 64, 128, 192, and 256 mg dm-3 of P2O5 (triple superphosphate). The characteristics evaluated were plant height (PH), stem diameter (SD), leaf fresh weight (LFW), leaf dry weight (LDW), stem fresh weight (SFW), stem dry weight (SDW), shoot fresh weight (SHFW), and shoot dry weight (SHDW). The results showed that Trichoderma spp. promotes satisfactory conditions for growing Schizolobium parahyba var. amazonicum, and the strain Trichoderma harzianum IBLF 006 WP at P2O5 rate of approximately 128 mg dm-3provided the highest increase in the evaluated variables

Objective: To evaluate the haematological and genotoxic profile of workers exposed to medical waste. Method: Descriptive study of an observational nature, performed with two distinct groups: exposed (20 individuals) and unexposed (20 individuals), which had blood samples collected for analysis. Results: The results revealed an increased erythrocytes, hematocrit and leukocytes of the exposed group compared to the unexposed group. In the group exposed were identified: eosinophilia (45%), atypical lymphocytes (35%) and neutrophil toxic granulation (25%). It revealed a significant genotoxic effect by the content and frequency of major damage in the exposed group. There was no correlation of these results with the habits and life styles reported. Conclusion: It was found that the study group might be undergoing reaction processes caused by some agent, as well as genetic instability. These data highlight the need for greater biomonitoring of these workers in order to prevent neoplastic conditions

A New Strategy To Identify Rare Blood Donors: Single Polymerase Chain Reaction Multiplex Snapshot Reaction For Detection Of 16 Blood Group Alleles.

As an alternative to phenotyping, large-scale DNA-based assays, which are feasible for high-throughput donor red blood cell typing, were developed for determination of blood group polymorphisms. However, high-throughput genotyping platforms based on these technologies are still expensive and the inclusion of single nucleotide polymorphisms and analysis of the alleles depend on the manufacturer's determination. To overcome this limitation and in order to develop an assay to enable the screening of rare donors, we developed a SNaPshot assay for analysis of nine single nucleotide polymorphisms related to antigens that are difficult to assess using conventional serology. The single polymerase chain reaction multiplex SNaPshot reaction was optimized to identify nine single nucleotide polymorphisms determining 16 alleles: KEL*3/KEL*4, KEL*6/KEL*7, DI*1/DI*2, DI*3/DI*4, YT*1/YT*2, CO*1/CO*2, DO*1/DO*2, DO*4, DO*5. We designed a single multiplex PCR with primers encompassing the blood group single nucleotide polymorphisms and performed an internal reaction with probe primers able to discriminate the alleles after fragment analysis. The SNaPshot assay was validated with 140 known alleles previously determined by PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism. We were able to simultaneous detect nine single nucleotide polymorphisms defining 16 blood group alleles on an assay based on a multiplex PCR combined with a single base extension using genomic DNA. This study demonstrates a robust genotyping strategy for conducting rare donor screening which can be applied in blood centers and could be an important tool for identifying antigen-negative donors and, therefore, for providing rare blood.12 Suppl 1s256-6
