The value of the cultural landscape as a teaching strategy

El Paisaje Cultural forma parte de los bienes que integran nuestro Patrimonio Cultural y, al igual que estos otros bienes de nuestra cultura, su tratamiento didáctico ofrece claras ventajas para la enseñanza de aprendizajes integradores e interdisciplinares. En este trabajo presentamos una propuesta didáctica de las posibilidades que tiene el Paisaje Cultural para la enseñanza de contenidos adscritos a las asignaturas de Historia, Geografía y Ciencias Naturales, así como sus facultades para trabajar procedimientos y destrezas e incentivar, además, actitudes de respeto y protección hacia nuestro Patrimonio.Our Cultural Landscape is part of the assets that make up our Cultural Heritage and, just like other assets of our culture, their didactic treatment offers clear advantages for the teaching of integrating and interdisciplinary learning. In this paper, we attempt to expose a didactic proposal of the possibilities that the Cultural Landscape may offer to the teaching of contents assigned to the subjects of History, Geography and Natural Sciences, as well as its faculties to work on processes and skills and furthermore encourage attitudes of respect and protection towards our Heritage.peerReviewe

Comparison of the optical properties of different dielectric materials (SnO2, ZnO, AZO, or SiAlNx) used in silver-based low-emissivity coatings

This work analyzed and compared the optical and photoenergetic properties of low-emissivity coatings made from various dielectric materials deposited through magnetron sputtering following a systematic, comparable method. Different multilayer structures of silver-based low-emissivity coatings were studied using SnO2, ZnO, SiAlNx, and aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO, which is inherently a semiconductor, but it fulfils an optical dielectric function in this type of structure). The properties of the coatings were determined by spectrophotometric and sheet resistance measurements. Coatings with AZO as the dielectric layers obtain the best photoenergetic performance because silver growth is more efficient on AZO. We also studied the effect of ion bombardment on AZO and SiAlNx in an attempt to obtain a better low-emissivity coating, achieving better results when etching the dielectric layer with an ion gun. Regarding the structures’ visible transmission, the oxides produced better transmission results. Based on the above, we concluded that AZO had the best optical and photoenergetic properties in our deposition system, observing, in the best-case scenario, improvements in emissivity from 0.083 with SnO2 to 0.058 with AZO and to 0.052 using an ion beam on AZO and improvements in visible transmission from 81.9% with SnO2 to 86.8% with AZO

Multimodal Study of Adult-Infant Interaction: A Review of Its Origins and Its Current Status

El objetivo de esta revisión es exponer los antecedentes de investigación del movimiento en interacciones adulto-bebé durante el primer año de vida y vincularlos sistemáticamente con los actuales trabajos sobre este tópico. Se encontraron 42 artículos de análisis del movimiento interactivo de la díada en el periodo 1970-2015. Se excluyeron 12 trabajos, incluyendo sólo los que estudiaron el fenómeno en el primer año de vida del bebé. Los resultados revelaron que el movimiento fue un tópico central en estudios sobre interacciones tempranas en los años 1970, en las décadas del 1980 y 1990 su estudio fue marginal y actualmente está resurgiendo en el marco del embodiment. Se presenta el marco conceptual y los métodos de investigación utilizados en los trabajos pioneros y se destacan los focos temáticos compartidos entre éstos y las actuales investigaciones. De este modo, se brindan claves esenciales para el estudio actualizado de las interacciones tempranas desde una perspectiva multimodal.An interpretative review of research on adult-infant interactions involving the analysis of movement behaviors is presented, systematically linking previous studies to current research on the subject. Forty-two articles analyzing the dyad's interactive movement in the period 1970-2015 were found. Twelve papers were excluded, including only those that studied the phenomenon in the baby's first year of life. The results revealed that movement was a central topic in early interaction studies in the 70s. In the 1980's and 1990's, its study was marginal and it is currently resurging under the embodiment perspective. The conceptual framework and research methods used in the pioneering work are presented, and the thematic foci shared with current research are highlighted. Thus, essential keys are provided for the updated study of early interactions from a multimodal perspective.O objetivo desta revisão é apresentar os antecedentes da investigação do movimento em interações adultos-bebês durante o primeiro ano de vida e relacioná-los sistematicamente com os trabalhos atuais na área. Foram encontrados 42 artigos que analisam o movimento interativo da díade no período de 1970-2015. Foram excluídos 12 estudos, incluindo apenas aqueles que estudaram o fenômeno no primeiro ano de vida do bebê. Os resultados revelaram que o movimento foi um tema central em estudos de interações iniciais mãe-bebê na década de 1970. Nas décadas de 1980 e 1990, seu estudo foi marginal e atualmente está ressurgindo na perspectiva do embodiment. Assim, são apresentados o quadro conceitual e os métodos de pesquisa utilizados no trabalho pioneiro, destacando-se os focos temáticos partilhados entre eles e a pesquisa atual. Deste modo, proporcionam-se chaves essenciais para o estudo atualizado de interações iniciais a partir de uma perspectiva multimodal

The reading of “Paisaje Cultural” as a didactic strategy in the teaching of Social Sciences: The example of Las Hurdes, Extremadura

El Paisaje Cultural entendido como síntesis histórica, donde convergen naturaleza y manifestaciones humanas, pasado y presente, lo material e inmaterial, ofrece muchas posibilidades como estrategia didáctica para la enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales. Su uso contribuye a conseguir una Educación más coherente con la sociedad actual, como se contempla en la Ley Orgánica de Educación, y con los nuevos métodos pedagógicos. En este trabajo se analiza el Paisaje Cultural de Las Hurdes, tanto los aspectos físicos como humanos, y, además, se valora su papel como recurso para apoyar nuevas formas de enseñanza desde la creatividad, tendentes a conseguir aprendizajes integradores y constructivistas, así como al desarrollo de un pensamiento social crítico para interpretar la realidad. Por otra parte, con la lectura de estos Paisajes se pretende fomentar la preocupación del alumnado por la conservación y protección del Patrimonio Cultural.The reading of “Paisaje Cultural” (Cultural Landscape) as a didactic strategy offers many possibilities to escape from a teaching of the Social Sciences which is based, almost exclusively, on the textbook and memory learning. Its use contributes to a teaching method which is more coherent with present day society as the L.O.E. (Organic Law of Education) stipulates and is in line with new teaching methodologies which set out to promote the development of critical social thought to interpret reality and to convert information into knowledge so that young people are shown how to form a critical interpretation of society and so contribute to the revaluation and protection of the Cultural Heritage.peerReviewe
