Locura y muerte de Nadie. Leer a Benjamín Jarnés hoy en día

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
Roque Six es la única novela publicada por José López Rubio. El presente trabajo lleva a cabo un análisis de la obra desde el punto de vista estructural, estilístico y temático, demostrando su pertenencia a la narrativa de vanguardia española de los años veinte. Roque Six is the only novel published by José López Rubio. This study approaches an analysis of the work and its structure, style and themes, explaining why it belongs to the Spanish avant-garde narrative of the twenties

MEASURING THE INFLUNENCE OF PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS ON OPTIMAL SOFTWARE PROJECT GRANULARITY

    Get PDF
With a well-structured design of reusable software, it is possible to save costs in future software development cycles and generate added value. Nowadays it is difficult to quantify which grade of project structuring enhances its reusability. This is the question this paper aims to examine, based on the financial Portfolio Selection theory and Value at Risk methods that can be adapted to the field of software project structuring. Using these methods, the value of the reusable source code can be evaluated and the risks of reimplementation be compared with alternative code structures. So we can quantify and measure the effects of the software project structure on the risks of reimplementation. This model is applied to 27 Github open source software projects and enables us to investigate the influences of the project characteristics on the best possible software project granularity

Heterozygous mis-sense mutations in Prkcb as a critical determinant of anti-polysaccharide antibody formation

To identify rate-limiting steps in T cell-independent type 2 (TI-2) antibody production against polysaccharide antigens, we performed a genome-wide screen by immunizing several hundred pedigrees of C57BL/6 mice segregating ENU-induced mis-sense mutations. Two independent mutations, Tilcara and Untied, were isolated that semi-dominantly diminished antibody against polysaccharide but not protein antigens. Both mutations resulted from single amino acid substitutions within the kinase domain of Protein Kinase C Beta (PKCβ). In Tilcara, a Ser552>Pro mutation occurred in helix G, in close proximity to a docking site for the inhibitory N-terminal pseudosubstrate domain of the enzyme, resulting in almost complete loss of active, autophosphorylated PKCβI whereas the amount of alternatively spliced PKCβII protein was not markedly reduced. Circulating B cell subsets were normal and acute responses to BCR-stimulation such as CD25 induction and initiation of DNA synthesis were only measurably diminished in Tilcara homozygotes, whereas the fraction of cells that had divided multiple times was decreased to an intermediate degree in heterozygotes. These results, coupled with evidence of numerous mis-sense PRKCB mutations in the human genome, identify Prkcb as a genetically sensitive step likely to contribute substantially to population variability in anti-polysaccharide antibody levels

Variation in the μ-opioid receptor gene (OPRM1) moderates the influence of early maternal care on fearful attachment

There is evidence that both early experience and genetic variation play a role in influencing sensitivity to social rejection. In this study, we aimed at ascertaining if the A118G polymorphism of the k-opioid receptor gene (OPRM1) moderates the impact of early maternal care on fearful attachment, a personality trait strongly related to rejection sensitivity. In 112 psychiatric patients, early maternal care and fearful attachment were measured using the Parental Bonding Inventory and the Relationship Questionnaire (RQ), respectively. The pattern emerging from the RQ data was a crossover interaction between genotype and maternal caregiving. Participants expressing the minor 118 G allele had similar and relatively high scores on fearful attachment regardless of the quality of maternal care. By contrast, early experience made a major difference for participants carrying the A/A genotype. Those who recalled higher levels of maternal care reported the lowest levels of fearful attachment whereas those who recalled lower levels of maternal care scored highest on fearful attachment. Our data fit well with the differential susceptibility model which stipulates that plasticity genes would make some individuals more responsive than others to the negative consequences of adversity and to the benefits of environmental support and enrichment

Land and Building Tax (PBB) is one of the regional revenue that are important because it is used for regional development. In addition, Land and Building Tax (PBB) has the largest taxpayers than the other tax, and revenues from year to year increased by a greater percentage than the other taxes. Therefore, the Tax Compliance from the PBB's tax payers is important in its contribution to the development and prosperity of the region. This study is conducted to determine the factors that may affect the Land and Building Tax Compliance in Demak and to compare the Tax Compliance from Urban taxpayers and Rural taxpayers. The tax payer's compliance is influenced by factors General Knowledge, Economic Level, and Tax Knowledge which is moderating by the Control Officer Rural/Urban Village. All variables were measured using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Population of this study is taken from Demak Regency and samples were taken by purposive sampling method. The method of testing is done by linear regression analysis and t-test-test is processed by SPSS version 21.The results have shown that the common knowledge and tax knowledge is not a significant influence on the Tax Compliance. Whereas, the economy level can provide a significant and negative impact on the Tax Compliance. On the other hand, the Control Officer Village / Village can strengthen the influence of General Knowledge and Economic Level of the Tax Compliance. However, the control officer actually weaken the influence of the Tax Compliance and Tax Knowledge

Measuring IT System Value with Entity-Specific Factors Influencing Process Runtime Efficiency

    Get PDF
This empirical study explores the different factors influencing the runtime of a booking process in the middle office of a major European investment company. The study is based on mixed methods research that combines qualitative research data collection techniques with a quantitative research approach. On the basis of semi-structured interviews, we first develop and present a model of the business process and control points to assess booking runtime. We further identify relevant and IT-related factors such as process automation that may affect booking runtime. Then, we analyze a unique dataset of historical process cycles providing details on booking runtime. Our quantitative analysis of this data provides new insights into how to identify most relevant factors affecting runtime of transaction processes in the financial industry. From a methodological perspective, our study illustrates how to conduct mixed methods research in the field of process performance evaluations

On-Shell Unitarity Bootstrap for QCD Amplitudes

We describe the recently developed on-shell bootstrap for computing one-loop amplitudes in non-supersymmetric theories such as QCD. The method combines the unitarity method with loop-level on-shell recursion. The unitarity method is used to compute cut-containing parts of amplitudes, and on-shell recursion is used for the remaining rational terms.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures, write-up of talks given by Z.
