Theoretical approaches in investigation for the integration digital technology in mathematics education

Esta contribución pretende dar a conocer una síntesis de algunos enfoques teóricos que se usan hoy en la investigación en educación matemática para la integración de la tecnología digital en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. Se abordarán los antecedentes y los conceptos centrales de los cuatro enfoques que se presentan: Aproximación Instrumental, Mediación Semiótica, Orquestación Instrumental y Sereshumanos-con-medios.This contribution expects to provide an outline of some theoretical approaches that are used nowadays in research on mathematics education for the integration of digital technology in teaching and learning. Sobre «La miseria del mundo» de Pierre Bourdieu: un análisis de las consecuencias sociales de la globalización económica en el primer mundo

Pierre Bourdieu (1932-2002), French sociologist whose work has important influence both on sociological theory and in social and political arenas, published «Poverty in the World» in 1993. Together with a team of collaborators, among whom are sociologists like Loïc Wacquant or Patrick Champagne, Bourdieu shows us an important compilation of in-depth interviews conducted with a broad spectrum of individuals. In these interviews, he studies the repercussions of the new economic and socio political situation on their lives. «Poverty in the World» seeks to reveal the structural relationships underlying different situations of «social poverty«, which form part of the daily life of thousands of ordinary citizens at different social levels in France in the nineties. Within their pages appear suburban youth, workers who retired early, teachers and social workers, immigrants of different generations, police officers, magistrates, businessmen… It is not a portrait of «dire poverty«, but rather the «difficult places» where, like the doctor confronting illness, the sociologist must go beyond the «symptoms» shown by the mass media or political discourse to make inquiries about the underlying authentic dialectic relationships, making visible the invisible in a consequential work of the social scientist in the world in which he lives. Pierre Bourdieu is one of the social scientists who most stood out in the political arena, especially in the last phase of his public life, where he sought to place his theoretical analyses at the service of the social problems of his day. His analyses continue being valid in contemporary situations, such as the riots that took place in the French slums last autumn

El técnico superior en integración social: apuntes sobre su perfil y formación

En este artículo se contextualiza la figura del Técnico Superior en Integración Social, título éste que surge con la reforma educativa y de la formación profesional que aportó la L.O.G.S.E. y que, en gran medida, viene a reemplazar con una formación específica y de carácter formal a los «monitores sociales» que venían desempeñando su labor en distintos programas, pero en muchas ocasiones desde el voluntariado o sin una formación homogénea. A través de un recorrido de lo más general a lo más particular en la formación de este técnico, se parte del ámbito de la Formación Profesional y sus actuales transformaciones, para ir descendiendo a la Familia Profesional de Servicios Socioculturales y a la Comunidad; al currículo y perfil del Técnico en Integración Social y al ejemplo del desarrollo formativo de algún módulo o asignatura de su programa formativo, mostrando la idoneidad de esta figura profesional en el amplio campo de los Servicios Sociales.In this article, the figure of the «Certified Social Integration Technician» is placed in context. This is a certificate which arises from the reform of the educational and vocational training system, contributed by L.O.G.S.E.*, and which, to a great extent, is replacing with specific training and a more formal nature, the «Social Monitors» who worked in different programmes but who, in many instances, did it as volunteer work or without any homogenous training. Going from a general perspective to a more specific one in the training of this technician, the main objective is to place the field of vocational training and its current transformations so as to descend to the Professional Family of Sociocultural and Community Services, to the curriculum and the profile of the aforementioned Social Integration Technician and to the example of the formative development of a module or subject of its training programme, thus showing the suitability of this professional figure in the broad field of Social Services

Prácticas matemáticas con SGD desarrolladas en la resolución de problemas sobre congruencia de triángulos desde una mirada instrumental: reporte de un caso

Presentamos parte de los resultados del trabajo de investigación de la tesis doctoral. Prácticas matemáticas y razonamientos con SGD que emergen de la génesis instrumental en la resolución de problemas sobre semejanza y congruencia de triángulos en AGD. Específicamente lo concerniente al concepto de práctica matemática con SGD para el contenido de congruencia, de uno de los tres casos analizados en el estudio desde una perspectiva cualitativa. Consideramos que este trabajo constituye un aporte al área de la didáctica de la matemática, en tanto contribuye a la reflexión sobre el potencial del uso de las herramientas de tecnología digital de tipo SGD para el desempeño del profesor en un aula de clase instrumentada con este tipo particular de tecnología, la intención de mejorar su enseñanza y los efectos positivos que se esperan en el aprendizaje de los alumnos.Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educació

Confinement orientation effects in S/D tunneling

The most extensive research of scaled electronic devices involves the inclusion of quantum effects in the transport direction as transistor dimensions approach nanometer scales. Moreover, it is necessary to study how these mechanisms affect different transistor architectures to determine which one can be the best candidate to implement future nodes. Impact of non uniform strain configuration on transport properties for FD14+ devices

As device dimensions are scaled down, the use of non-geometrical performance boosters becomes of special relevance. In this sense, strained channels are proposed for the 14 nm FDSOI node. However this option may introduce a new source of variability since strain distribution inside the channel is not uniform at such scales. In this work, a MS-EMC study of different strain configurations including non-uniformities is presented showing drain current degradation because of the increase of intervalley phonon scattering and the subsequent variations of transport effective mass and drift velocity. This effect, which has an intrinsic statistical origin, will make necessary further optimizations to keep the expected boosting capabilities of strained channels

Arrested dynamics of the dipolar hard-sphere model

We report the combined results of molecular dynamics simulations and theoretical calculations concerning various dynamical arrest transitions in a model system representing a dipolar fluid, namely, N (softcore) rigid spheres interacting through a truncated dipole-dipole potential. By exploring different regimes of concentration and temperature, we find three distinct scenarios for the slowing down of the dynamics of the translational and orientational degrees of freedom: At low ({$\eta$} = 0.2) and intermediate (${\eta}$ = 0.4) volume fractions, both dynamics are strongly coupled and become simultaneously arrested upon cooling. At high concentrations ({$\eta$} $\lt$ 0.6), the translational dynamics shows the features of an ordinary glass transition, either by compressing or cooling down the system, but with the orientations remaining ergodic, thus indicating the existence of partially arrested states. In this density regime, but at lower temperatures, the relaxation of the orientational dynamics also freezes. The physical scenario provided by the simulations is discussed and compared against results obtained with the self-consistent generalized Langevin equation theory, and both provide a consistent description of the dynamical arrest transitions in the system. Our results are summarized in an arrested states diagram which qualitatively organizes the simulation data and provides a generic picture of the glass transitions of a dipolar fluid

Fast degenerate double proton transfer in the solid state between two indazolinone tautomers

The neutral dimer formed by 4,6-difluoro-1H,2H-indazolin-3-one and 3-hydroxy-4,6-difluoro-1H-indazole linked by two hydrogen bonds presents a very fast intermolecular double proton transfer in the solid state (ISSPT). The combined use of crystallography, solid state NMR and DFT [B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)] calculations supports this interesting observation and allows us to estimate a barrier of about 20 kJ mol-1. © 2010 The Royal Society of Chemistry.Peer Reviewe
