This article shows the benefits of developing a software project using TSPi in a “Very Small Enterprise” based in quality and productivity measures. An adapted process from the current process based on the TSPi was defined and the team was trained in it. The workaround began by gathering historical data from previous projects in order to get a measurement repository, and then the project metrics were collected. Finally, the process, product and quality improvements were verified

This article presents a case study about the TSPi benefits in a software project under a Small Settings environment. An adapted process based on the TSPi was defined. The pilot project had a schedule and budget restricted. The process began collecting historical projects data in order to get a measure repository. The project was launched defining the following goals: increase the productivity, reduce the test time and improve the product quality. Finally, the results were analysed and the goals were verified

Cultural tourism, especially the recovered and valued from the perspective of sustainable management and conservation, is today, an extraordinary opportunity in finding specific solutions to particular problems that require many cities with a high historical artistic heritage. Sustainable cultural tourism, it becomes, like this, in the best means to redeem the socioeconomic development of these with proper management of natural resources and environment. In Granada, the process of converting into a museum "Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo", a unique architectural residential building of the thirteenth century Arab, declared of monument of cultural interest, will promote to social, cultural and economic development of "Realejo-Salón" artistic axis, restoring and revitalizing both the natural environment as the business, cultural and social area. All it, thanks, to cultural and social sustainability proposal has been submitted as a priority objective the projects selected for implementation and strategic framework reflected in the current Tourism Plan for Granada, that values, mainly, the approaches of history, heritage conservation and promotion in its close link with the natural environment

In this context, the target function may change over time, an inherent problem of online learning (known as concept drift). In order to handle concept drift regardless of the learning model, we propose new methods to monitor the performance metrics measured during the learning process, to trigger drift signals when a significant variation has been detected. To monitor this performance, we apply some probability inequalities that assume only independent, univariate and bounded random variables to obtain theoretical guarantees for the detection of such distributional changes. Some common restrictions for the online change detection as well as relevant types of change (abrupt and gradual) are considered. Two main approaches are proposed, the first one involves moving averages and is more suitable to detect abrupt changes. The second one follows a widespread intuitive idea to deal with gradual changes using weighted moving averages. The simplicity of the proposed methods, together with the computational efficiency make them very advantageous. We use a Naïve Bayes classifier and a Perceptron to evaluate the performance of the methods over synthetic and real data.Supported in part by the SESAAME project number TIN2008-06582-C03-03 of the MICINN, Spain. MAREX: A general purpose hardware architecture for membrane computing

    Get PDF
Membrane computing is an unconventional computing paradigm that has gained much attention in recent decades because of its massively parallel character and its usefulness to build models of complex systems. However, until now, there was no generic hardware implementation of P systems. Computational frameworks to execute P systems up to this day rely on the simulation of the parallel working mechanisms of P systems by inherently sequential algorithms. Such algorithms can then be implemented as is or can be parallelized, up to a certain point, to run on parallel computers. However, this is not as efficient as a dedicated parallel hardware implementation. There have been ad hoc implementations of particular P systems for parallel hardware, but they lack to be problem-generic or they are not scalable enough to implement large P systems. In this paper, a first intrinsically parallel hardware architecture to implement generic P system models is introduced. It is designed to be straightforwardly implemented in programmable logic circuits like FPGAs. The feasibility and correct execution of our architecture has been verified by means of a simulator, and several simulation results for different P system examples have been analysed to foresee the pros and cons of this design.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion of Spain and the AEI/FEDER (EU) project TIN2017-89842-P (MABICAP)Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion of Spain and the AEI/FEDER (EU) project PID2019-110455GB-I00 (Par-HoT
