Aspectual Templates in UML
UML Templates allow to capture models whose some of their constituents are parameters. This construct is general enough to be used in many ways, such as generic class representation, Design Pattern modeling, view or aspect-oriented modeling (AOM). In this paper, we concentrate on this last usage and the specific characteristics of so called ''Aspectual Templates". Such templates can be applied to enrich existing models as far as they conform to a required model. Template parameters are exploited here to specify some required model, so that they must be constrained to form a full model structure. After recall of UML templates and their metamodel, we present the specificities of their aspectual interpretation, existing works and identify the issues. Then we show how standard UML templates can be enhanced to capture aspectual ones. For this, a specialization of the UML template metamodel is detailed and OCL constraints are formulated due to this specific interpretation and its proper mechanisms. As a result, this metamodel specialization is fully compatible with the existing one so that aspectual templates are full UML standard ones. Finally, we present an algorithm which constructs the result of the application of an Aspectual Template to a model. This algorithm also works for aspectual template to template application. Presented results were implemented and made available in the EMF (Eclipse Modeling Framework) technology

Note sur la séparation du religieux et du pouvoir dans la pensée politique musulmane
As it seems to be well admitted nowadays, Muslim political thought's main tradition, shiite as well as sunnite, separates clearly, for the times following Prophetic time, between religion and politics, in opposition to extremist traditions from the beginnings of Islam onward. Nevertheless the present leading thought in the international Muslim establishment is rather leaning to them. And radical Islamic groups follow the most extreme conceptions on religionâs and political powerâs fusion, and also on holy war against renegade present rulers. A huge dangerous task for intellectual resistance and true Islamic renaissance in line with the main tradition is at work, giving hope for a «Post-Islamic Self Assertion »

Template Based MDE
National audienceIn MDE, design of systems can be improved and accelerated thanks to reusable models which are made available in model repositories or libraries. This paper focuses on the construction and exploitation of " oâ”-the-shelf " model template bases. Model templates are parameterized models which are adaptable to various application contexts. Due to their parameterization, model templates have their own modeling space. In this paper, we present the main construction and composition operations that underlie this space while presenting its dedicated engineering processes and actors. A software environment is shown to illustrate template based engineering in Eclipse
Technical aspects of an impact acceleration traumatic brain injury rat model with potential suitability for both microdialysis and PtiO2 monitoring
This report describes technical adaptations of a traumatic brain injury (TBI)
model-largely inspired by Marmarou-in order to monitor microdialysis data and
PtiO2 (brain tissue oxygen) before, during and after injury. We particularly
focalize on our model requirements which allows us to re-create some drastic
pathological characteristics experienced by severely head-injured patients:
impact on a closed skull, no ventilation immediately after impact, presence of
diffuse axonal injuries and secondary brain insults from systemic origin...We
notably give priority to minimize anaesthesia duration in order to tend to
banish any neuroprotection. Our new model will henceforth allow a better
understanding of neurochemical and biochemical alterations resulting from
traumatic brain injury, using microdialysis and PtiO2 techniques already
monitored in our Intensive Care Unit. Studies on efficiency and therapeutic
window of neuroprotective pharmacological molecules are now conceivable to
ameliorate severe head-injury treatment
Lâacteur et la dramaturgie

High-resolution marine data and transient simulations support orbital forcing of ENSO amplitude since the mid-Holocene
Lack of constraint on spatial and long-term temporal variability of the El Niño southern Oscillation (ENSO) and its sensitivity to external forcing limit our ability to evaluate climate models and ENSO future projections. Current knowledge of Holocene ENSO variability derived from paleoclimate reconstructions does not separate the role of insolation forcing from internal climate variability. Using an updated synthesis of coral and bivalve monthly resolved records, we build composite records of seasonality and interannual variability in four regions of the tropical Pacific: Eastern Pacific (EP), Central Pacific (CP), Western Pacific (WP) and South West Pacific (SWP). An analysis of the uncertainties due to the sampling of chaotic multidecadal to centennial variability by short records allows for an objective comparison with transient simulations (mid-Holocene to present) performed using four different Earth System models. Sea surface temperature and pseudo-ÎŽ18O are used in model-data comparisons to assess the potential influence of hydroclimate change on records. We confirm the significance of the Holocene ENSO minimum (HEM) 3-6ka compared to low frequency unforced modulation of ENSO, with a reduction of ENSO variance of âŒ50 % in EP and âŒ80 % in CP. The approach suggests that the increasing trend of ENSO since 6ka can be attributed to insolation, while models underestimate ENSO sensitivity to orbital forcing by a factor of 4.7 compared to data, even when accounting for the large multidecadal variability. Precession-induced change in seasonal temperature range is positively linked to ENSO variance in EP and to a lesser extent in other regions, in both models and observations. Our regional approach yields insights into the past spatial expression of ENSO across the tropical Pacific. In the SWP, today under the influence of the South Pacific Convergence Zone (SPCZ), interannual variability was increased by âŒ200 % during the HEM, indicating that SPCZ variability is independent from ENSO on millennial time scales
