RÉSUMÉL'anthropologie du travail au 21e siècleCet article se propose d'examiner quelques traits fondamentaux de l'évolution du travail dans le contexte de la mondialisation pour souligner, paradoxalement, une tendance au renforcement de l'emprise des sociétés civiles sur le travail. Il défend la thèse que le paradigme individualiste de l'implication est réinterprété par les travailleurs sous une forme très différente, saisissable dans la durée biographique. En second lieu, il souligne le lien entre l'entrée massive des femmes sur le marché du travail et l'émergence du groupe domestique dans les villes, ce qui modifie substantiellement le rapport paternaliste au fondement des sociétés et, à travers lui, le rapport social capitaliste. Enfin, il montre que les efforts des sociétés civiles concernant la mise en place d'un label social de production, ainsi que l'action de certains mouvements sociaux innovants internes ou externes au syndicalisme introduisent une conception de « l'efficacité sociétale », observable à différentes échelles, qui s'inscrit en contradiction avec la stratégie du capital financier.Mots clés : Cabanes, culture du travail, mondialisation, individualisme, paternalismeABSTRACTAn Anthropology of Labour into thé 21sl CenturyThis paper deals with some fundamental aspects of the évolution of labour within the context of globalization. It argues that the new individualistic paradigm of " implication " is transformed and reinterpreted by the workers in a quite different manner. Furthermore, it emphasizes that the link between the massive entrance of women on the labour market and the émergence of the domestic group in the cities of developing countries substantially transforms thé paternalistic social relation which has been the basis of ail societies, including the social capitalistic relationship. Finally, it describes the endeavour of civil societies to build up a " social label " within production, and the action of innovative social movements internai or external to trade-unionism, that introduces, in various ways, a concept of " societal efficiency " conflictive with the strategy of the finance capital.Key words : Cabanes, labour culture, globalization, individualism, paternalis

Neanderthal firewood management: Evidence from Stratigraphic Unit IV of Abric del Pastor (Eastern Iberia)

This paper presents anthracological data from Abric del Pastor (Alcoi, Spain), a Middle Paleolithic rock shelter site. Analysis of 1077 wood charcoal remains from Stratigraphic Unit IV (S.U. IV), collected within archaeological combustion structures and from loose sediment outside of structures, allowed us to characterise the local landscape, as well as to approach the interaction between Neanderthal groups and their local environment. Taxonomic identification suggests that firewood was gathered from nearby sources, with predominance of juniper (Juniperus sp.) followed by thermophilous shrubby taxa. Additional analysis focussing on post-depositional processes affecting charcoal have shown features indicative of biodegradation and mechanical action. The results of this study contribute significant anthracological data towards our understanding of Late Pleistocene Mediterranean landscapes and Neanderthal forest management in this region
