A note on the hidden conformal structure of non-extremal black holes
We study, following Bertini et al. \cite{Bertini:2011ga}, the hidden
conformal symmetry of the massless Klein-Gordon equation in the background of
the general, charged, spherically symmetric, static black-hole solution of a
class of d-dimensional Lagrangians which includes the relevant parts of the
bosonic Lagrangian of any ungauged supergravity. We find that a hidden
SL(2,\mathbb{R}) symmetry appears at the near event and Cauchy-horizon limit.Comment: 9 pages. The 2 sl(2) algebras have been extended to two complete Witt

Habitually the literature about the phd training describes the processes and the peculiarities of the same ones in different countries and institutions. The present article tries to begin an approach to the theoretical foundation of this educational process considering it to be a specific
pattern of social interaction in accordance with the conceptions of the social complexity
Risk practice of HIV in men who have sex with men are a gender practice. A training of health professional in a transcultural perspective
Relations between men who have sex with men (MSM) are power relations between different masculinities. A qualitative study with health professionals assisting MSM looked into HIV prevention in Spain. Barriers were observed in the HIV test at three levels: institutions, social and individual. Deficiencies appeared in public policies: lack of knowledge about MSM realities; lack of tools to assist diversity by health professionals; stigma and prejudice; difficulties to access health. Migration, poverty and vulnerability influence MSM health and the presence of risk practices. We suggest health professionals training in gender transcultural perspective integrated within educative programs to improve MSM's health
A retrieval-specific mechanism of adaptive forgetting in the mammalian brain
Forgetting is a ubiquitous phenomenon that is actively promoted in many species. How and whether organisms’ behavioral goals drive which memories are actively forgotten is unknown. Here we show that processes essential to controlling goal-directed behavior trigger active forgetting of distracting memories that interfere with behavioral goals. When rats need to retrieve particular memories to guide exploration, it reduces later retention of other memories encoded in that environment. As with humans, this retrieval-induced forgetting is competition-dependent, cue-independent and reliant on prefrontal control: Silencing the medial prefrontal cortex with muscimol abolishes the effect. cFos imaging reveals that prefrontal control demands decline over repeated retrievals as competing memories are forgotten successfully, revealing a key adaptive benefit of forgetting. Occurring in 88% of the rats studied, this finding establishes a robust model of how adaptive forgetting harmonizes memory with behavioral demands, permitting isolation of its circuit, cellular and molecular mechanisms.Fil: Bekinschtein, Pedro Alejandro.
Activated carbons as catalytic support for Cu nanoparticles
There are a wide range of catalytic applications for Cu-based nanoparticles materials, since Cu is an
abundant and inexpensive metal and Cu nanoparticles possess unusual electrical, thermal and
optical properties. The possible modification of the chemical and physical properties of these
nanoparticles using different synthetic strategies and conditions and/or via postsynthetic chemical
treatments has been largely responsible for the rapid growth of interest in these nanomaterials and
their applications in catalysis. A previous work have explored the possibilities of SBA-15 (1,2) as
support for Cu nanoparticles. In the present contribution, those results will be compared with the
use of a carbon material as support, since activated carbon present many advantages with respect
SBA, as the high surface area.Universidad de Málaga. Campus de Excelencia Internacional Andalucía Tech
Stabilisation of linear PDEs by Stratonovich noise
Some results concerning the stability and stabilisation of stochastic linear partial differential equations in the sense of Stratonovich are proved. The main result ensures that a deterministic linear PDE can be stabilised by adding a suitable Stratonovich noise if and only if the linear partial di erential operator has negative trace

Characterizations of inner product structures involving the radius of the inscribed or circumscribed circumference
summary:We define the radius of the inscribed and circumscribed circumferences in a triangle located in a real normed space and we obtain new characterizations of inner product spaces
Unraveling the potential of non-conventional yeasts in biotechnology.
Cost-effective microbial conversion processes of renewable feedstock into biofuels and biochemicals are of utmost importance for the establishment of a robust bioeconomy. Conventional baker's yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, widely employed in biotechnology for decades, lacks many of the desired traits for such bioprocesses like utilization of complex carbon sources or low tolerance towards challenging conditions. Many non-conventional yeasts (NCY) present these capabilities, and they are therefore forecasted to play key roles in future biotechnological production processes. For successful implementation of NCY in biotechnology, several challenges including generation of alternative carbon sources, development of tailored NCY and optimization of the fermentation conditions are crucial for maximizing bioproduct yields and titers. Addressing these challenges requires a multidisciplinary approach that is facilitated through the 'YEAST4BIO' COST action. YEAST4BIO fosters integrative investigations aimed at filling knowledge gaps and excelling research and innovation, which can improve biotechnological conversion processes from renewable resources to mitigate climate change and boost transition towards a circular bioeconomy. In this perspective, the main challenges and research efforts within YEAST4BIO are discussed, highlighting the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange for progression in this research field
