Carcass bone content in wild rabbits hunted in Andalusia (Spain)
Para caracterizar el contenido de hueso de la canal del conejo de monte (
Oryctolagus cuniculus algirus
) procedente de la ca-
za, se analizaron 53 canales encorambradas adquiridas en mercados de abastos de Sevilla (España) con un peso medio de
767,8 g. Las canales encorambradas se desollaron y prepararon para obtener las canales de referencia, que tuvieron un peso
medio de 551,2 g, Se realizó el despiece tecnológico propuesto por la World Rabbit Science Association, que rindió un 14,3%
de patas delanteras, un 38,0% de patas traseras, un 32,1% de pieza lomo y un 11,4% de caja torácica. El contenido de hueso
fue del 16,3% en las patas delanteras, 13,4% en las patas traseras, 9,4% en la pieza lomo, 22,5% en la caja torácica y 13,0% en
el conjunto de la canal de referencia. El contenido de hueso de la pata trasera fue un predictor fiable del contenido de hueso
de la canal de referencia, pues se obtuvo una R
2
=0,737 (p<0,001). No se encontró dimorfismo sexual en el contenido de hue-
so ni correlación entre el peso de la canal y el contenido de hueso de la canal del conejo de monte. En comparación con los
valores publicados para razas y líneas de aptitud cárnica a la edad de sacrificio habitual en España, el contenido de hueso de

Towards a Gravitational Analog to S-duality in Non-abelian Gauge Theories
For non-abelian non-supersymmetric gauge theories, generic dual theories have
been constructed. In these theories the couplings appear inverted. However,
they do not possess a Yang-Mills structure but rather are a kind of non-linear
sigma model. It is shown that for a topological gravitational model an analog

Pursuing Gravitational S-Duality
Recently a strong-weak coupling duality in non-abelian non-supersymmetric
theories in four dimensions has been found. An analogous procedure is reviewed,
which allows to find the `dual action' to the gauge theory of dynamical gravity
constructed by the MacDowell-Mansouri model plus the superposition of a

A Vector Non-abelian Chern-Simons Duality
Abelian Chern-Simons gauge theory is known to possess a `-self-dual'
action where its coupling constant is inverted {\it i.e.} . Here a vector non-abelian duality is found in the
pure non-abelian Chern-Simons action at the classical level. The dimensional
reduction of the dual Chern-Simons action to two-dimensions constitutes a dual

Gravitational Duality in MacDowell-Mansouri Gauge Theory
Strong-weak duality invariance can only be defined for particular sectors of
supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories. Nevertheless, for full non-Abelian
non-supersymmetric theories, dual theories with inverted couplings, have been
found. We show that an analogous procedure allows to find the dual action to
the gauge theory of gravity constructed by the MacDowell-Mansouri model plus

Allometric analysis of sexual dimorphism and morphological variation in two chromosome races of the Sceloporus grammicus complex (Squamata: Phrynosomatidae) from Mexico
Sexual dimorphism is a widespread feature in the Animal Kingdom. In lizards of the Sceloporus grammicus complex, studies of sexual dimorphism that analyze the allometric trajectories of body traits remain unexplored. Here we investigate sexual dimorphism in key phenotypic traits, including body size (snout-vent length, SVL) as well as head length (HL), head width (HW), and forearm length (FL). We use an allometric approach to detect differences in scale relationships among body parts in the S. grammicus complex in Mexico. We focus on two chromosomal races within this complex, F5 (2n = 34) and FM2 (2n = 46). In the complex, we found that males are larger than females in all morphological variables, and this pattern was confirmed in both races. We determined negative allometric trajectories (SVL vs. HL and HW), isometry (SVL vs. FL) and intersexual differences in the slopes of the SVL vs. HL and HW; the males showed steeper slopes. Thus, the growth of the head is more pronounced in males than females. Additionally, we found between-race differences in these trajectories (SVL vs. FL) and in all morphological variables (F5 lizards are larger than those of the FM2 race), which correlate with their chromosomal divergence. Deep-sea habitat characterization using acoustic data and underwater imagery in Gazul mud volcano (Gulf of Cádiz, NE Atlantic)
Gazul is the shallowest mud volcano (MV) within the Shallow Field of Fluid Expulsion (SFFE) of the northeastern Gulf of Cádiz (NE Atlantic; 300–1200 m depth). The SFFE represents an important geo- and biodiversity area that was designated as a Site of Community Importance under the European Habitats Directive in 2014. In this study, geological features, habitats and associated biodiversity, as well as anthropogenic impacts, were characterized at Gazul MV from underwater imagery and multibeam bathymetry. Multivariate methods using the Bray-Curtis similarity index identified six main habitats, each of which harbored a characteristic faunal assemblage that included: (1) sandy ripple bottoms typified by the actiniarian Actinauge richardi; (2) sandy, muddy, coarse sand and bioclastic bottoms dominated by the solitary coral Flabellum chunii; (3) coarse sand and bioclastic bottoms, together with soft sediments covered by scattered methane-derived authigenic carbonates (MDACs) (mixed bottoms), characterized by the echinoid Cidaris cidaris; (4) hard bottoms comprising MDACs dominated by a wide variety of sponges and gorgonians; (5) coral-rubble bottoms typified by the presence of colonial scleractinian communities dominated by Madrepora oculata; and (6) mixed bottoms characterized by the presence of a styelid ascidian. Slope and water depth were the main factors explaining assemblages’ distribution, which was also supported by the presence of MDACs such as slabs, crusts and chimneys on the seafloor, as well as by the geomorphologic diversity of Gazul MV. The results highlight Gazul MV as an eco-biologically important area harboring different vulnerable marine ecosystem (VME) elements with indicator taxa such as scleractinians, sponges, gorgonians and black corals. ROV images revealed abandoned or lost fishing gears and marine debris on the seafloor, indicating anthropogenic impacts in Gazul MV and adjacent areas. Indeed trawling fisheries activities have also been detected in Vessel Monitoring System datasets. A fishery restricted area is recommended in Gazul MV due to the occurrence of diverse VMEs and species included in different conservation directives and conventions.Postprin
Remarks on 2+1 Self-dual Chern-Simons Gravity
We study 2+1 Chern-Simons gravity at the classical action level. In
particular we rederive the linear combinations of the ``standard'' and
``exotic'' Einstein actions, from the (anti) self-duality of the ``internal''
Lorentzian indices. The relation to a genuine four-dimensional (anti)self-dual
topological theory greatly facilitates the analysis and its relation to
hyperbolic three-dimensional geometry. Finally a non-abelian vector field
