The project is directed to the implementation and establishment of 0.425 hectares with an agroforestry system in which native forest species nitrogen fixers as alder (Alnus glutinosa), perennial species such as Mora de Castilla (Rubusglaucus Benth), tree tomato became involved (Cyphomandrabetacea ) annual crops such as beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), corn (Zea mays), alberja (Pisumsativum L), through a method applied in the community of the village Paramillo called "demonstration plot" within the premises Remembrance Township Sotará Department of Cauca. Practical with project beneficiaries and students Sotará Integrated Agricultural Institution of grade 4 primary Sotará Township, Cauca Department - 3 days 3 field accompanied playful workshops were held. This is considered as an alternative sustainable production for small producers working with forest arrangements, which diversifies with fruit and vegetable seeds for sustainability in order to improve the economy of families and implement good agricultural practice. Which takes on greater significance in a region where the farm and loading of cattle per hectare is high, which leads to negative impacts on soil and water, for it is the mystery of how to generate changes in the traditional grazing system for Silvopastoril into a sustainable system, cattle breeding for high milk yield rates. Keywords: agroforestry, intercropping, perennials, production units, good agricultural practices, demonstration plot

An Architecture Approach for 3D Render Distribution using Mobile Devices in Real Time

    No full text
Nowadays, video games such as Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) have become cultural mediators. Mobile games contribute to a large number of downloads and potential benefits in the applications market. Although processing power of mobile devices increases the bandwidth transmission, a poor network connectivity may bottleneck Gaming as a Service (GaaS). In order to enhance performance in digital ecosystem, processing tasks are distributed among thin client devices and robust servers. This research is based on the method ‘divide and rule’, that is, volumetric surfaces are subdivided using a tree-KD of sequence of scenes in a game, so reducing the surface into small sets of points. Reconstruction efficiency is improved, because the search of data is performed in local and small regions. Processes are modeled through a finite set of states that are built using Hidden Markov Models with domains configured by heuristics. Six test that control the states of each heuristic, including the number of intervals are carried out to validate the proposed model. This validation concludes that the proposed model optimizes response frames per second, in a sequence of interactions

Assessment of learning in environments interactive through fuzzy cognitive maps

    No full text
Fuzzy cognitive maps have been applied in different areas to express the dynamic behavior of a set of related concepts. These maps are powerful tools for analysis and generate simulations in dynamic systems. Nowadays, individuals use a lot of different technological media: smart TV, Internet, video games, mobile phones, etc. Some of these media present new ways to play, express, learn and communicate. The use of multimedia has become popular in the education field, these multimedia techniques can allow students to get more entertainment, immersion, and interactivity. An interactive learning environment can provide useful information to analyze the student learning process. Information such as: when the student initiates and completes a task, time between interactions, number of attempts, sequence of decisions taken, results related to the aggregate of the group, etc. This research work presents a learning assessment system that uses multivariate analysis based on structural equation modeling and fuzzy cognitive maps as a tool. The main aim of the proposed system is to facilitate assessment of learning on interactive environments. To validate the proposal, we have performed an empirical evaluation. As a part of the evaluation, we apply a sequence of scenarios to stimulate cognitive function of planning in a child population. In this evaluation, it was observed that most practical tasks obtain better results, confirming the Hebb rule on learning and cellular neurophysiological relationship

Circular Economy (CE) plays a crucial role in Latin America, where the transition to new economic development models poses significant challenges. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of CE research in the region to identify critical areas of development, influential authors, organizations, and future research trends. This analysis aims to highlight the progress made in the CE field in Latin America and identify areas for improvement to promote sustainable development. Using the Scopus database, we analyzed 632 research papers, and the rising number of CE publications in Latin America suggests a continuous growth trajectory, expected to reach over 2500 studies by 2026. The analysis reveals that Brazil leads CE research with 274 publications, Waste Management being the most studied topic. The study highlights the region's growing trend towards implementing innovative and sustainable solutions for waste management and resource utilization, such as bioengineering and biochemistry processes, which could positively impact the region's economy and environment. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for policymakers and researchers aiming to promote sustainable development in Latin America

Women from Afar: an Observational Study of Demographic Characteristics and Mortality among Foreign-Born Women Living with HIV in the Women\u27s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) in the United States 1994-2016

INTRODUCTION: Foreign-born persons comprise ~13% of the US population. Immigrants, especially women, often face a complex set of social and structural factors that negatively impact health outcomes including greater risk of HIV infection. We described socio-demographic, clinical and immunological characteristics and AIDs and non-AIDS death among foreign-born women living with HIV (FBWLWH) participating in the US Women\u27s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) in the US from 1994 to 2016. We hypothesized that FBW will experience higher AIDS-related mortality compared to US-born women (USBW). METHODS: The WIHS is a multicenter prospective observational cohort study of mostly women living with HIV (WLWH). The primary exposure in this analysis, which focused on 3626 WLWH, was self-reported country of birth collapsed into foreign-born and US born. We assessed the association of birthplace with categorized demographic, clinical and immunological characteristics, and AIDS/non-AIDS mortality of WLWH, using chi-squared tests. Proportional hazard models examined the association of birthplace with time from enrolment to AIDS and non-AIDS death. RESULTS: Of the 628 FBW, 13% were born in Africa, 29% in the Caribbean and 49% in Latin America. We observed significant differences by HIV status in socio-demographic, clinical and immunological characteristics and mortality. For both AIDS and non-AIDS caused deaths FBW WLWH had lower rates of death. Adjusting for year of study enrolment and other demographic/clinical characteristics mitigated FBW\u27s statistical survival advantage in AIDS deaths Relative Hazard (RH = 0.91 p = 0.53), but did not substantively change the survival advantage in non-AIDS deaths RH = 0.33, p \u3c 0.0001). CONCLUSION: Foreign-born WLWH exhibited demographic, clinical and immunological characteristics that are significantly different compared with women born in the US or US territory. After adjusting for these characteristics, the FB WLWH had a significantly lower hazard of non-AIDS but not AIDS mortality compared to women born in the US or a US territory. These findings of non-increased mortality can help inform models of care to optimize treatment outcomes among FBWLWH in the United States
