The Drake Passage is an oceanic gateway of about 850 km width located between South America and the Antarctic Peninsula that connects the southeastern Pacific Ocean with the southwestern Atlantic Ocean. It is an important gateway for mantle flow, oceanographic water masses, and migrations of biota. This sector developed within the framework of the geodynamic evolution of the Scotia Arc, including continental fragmentation processes and oceanic crust creation, since the oblique divergence of the South American plate to the north and the Antarctic plate to the south started in the Eocene. As a consequence of its complex tectonic evolution and subsequent submarine processes, as sedimentary infill and erosion mainly controlled by bottom currents and active tectonics, this region shows a varied physiography. We present a detailed map of the bathymetry and geological setting of the Drake Passage that is mainly founded on a new compilation of precise multibeam bathymetric data obtained on 120 cruises between 1992 and 2015, resulting in a new Digital Bathymetric Model with 200 × 200 m cell spacing. The map covers an area of 1,465,000 km2 between parallels 52°S and 63°S and meridians 70°W and 50°W at scale 1:1,600,000 allowing the identification of the main seafloor features. In addition, the map includes useful geological information related to magnetism, seismicity and tectonics. This work constitutes an international cooperative effort and is part of the International Bathymetric Chart of the Southern Ocean project, under the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research umbrella. This work was supported through projects CTM2014- 60451-C2-02/01, CTM2017-89711-C2-2/1-P and special action CTM2011-13970-E from “Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades” of Spain

Despite the improvement on attitudes towards sexual diversity by society, there is still a great stigma around homosexuality. This stigma has made non-heterosexual people suffer from minority stress, increasing the development of anxiety, depression or personality disorders. This leads to an internalization of homophobia by exposing people to a higher level of need for approval and fear of negative assessment of others, which could eventually lead to social phobia disorder. This project settles a cognitive behavioral intervention program based on Gay Affirmative Psychology, targeting both internalized homophobia and the need for approval in adult gay men.Máster en Psicología General Sanitari

The overall impact of the partial replacement (5–15%) of methylammonium (MA)in the MAPbI3perovskite by cesium or guanidinium (Gua) cations to fabricatethinfilms of triple cation CsxGuayMA1–x–yPbI3perovskites is studied. The structural changes are investigated by using X-ray diffraction measurementsrevealing shrinkage or expansion of the unit cell upon Cs or Gua incorporation, respectively. The optoelectronic properties are characterized with photolumi-nescence (PL) time-resolved spectroscopy and the space charge limited current(SCLC) method. Shorter PL time constants are obtained for the samples with onlyCs, while longer PL decays are measured for the perovskites containing additionalGua cation. The SCLC measurements reveal a larger density of trap states in theCsxMA1–xPbI3perovskites compared to the MAPbI3material. The PSCs fabricatedwith the different mixed cation CsxGuayMA1–x–yPbI3perovskites reveal a goodcorrelation with the measured optoelectronic properties. The power conversionefficiency (PCE) improves from an average value of 18.6% for the MAPbI3to avalue of 20.0% for the Cs0.05Gua0.05MA0.90PbI3perovskite with a champion celldelivering 21.2%. On the opposite, the PCE decreases to a value of 17.3% for thedouble cation perovskite with Cs

Fresh cut broccoli is a product with an increasing demand due to its convenience and proved benefits on human health, but is very perishable due to its high respiration rate. In order to maintain quality and extend shelf-life, two different approaches were carried out. Firstly, samples were packaged in sealed trays under passive modified atmosphere, and half of them were heated with air (48°C for 3 hours). All trays were stored at 5 °C, and analyzed at 0, 7, 14 and 21 days. Basic physical-chemical parameters, chlorophyll a and b concentration, total phenolics, antioxidant activity, microbiological and sensory quality were assessed. Results showed that heat treated broccoli showed poor sensory quality due to off-odors and no increase in the shelf-life of the product was observed. For this reason, a second experiment was carried using passive and active modified atmospheres (10% O2 and 5% CO2) and compared to a control in air. Samples were also stored at 5 °C and analyzed at 0, 5, 10 and 21 days. Modified atmosphere, either active or passive, allowed maintaining broccoli florets shelf-life up to 21 days, with higher quality compared to the control, being most suitable the passive modified atmosphere due to its simplicity and lower cost.• Fundación Carolina (España). Bouguer anomalies of the NW Iberian continental margin and the adjacent abyssal plains

The NW Iberian continental margin has a complex structure, resulting from the succession of several rifting episodes close to a ridge triple junction, and a superimposed partial tectonic inversion stage. The wide-ranging physiography matches the diverse tectonic deformation domains related to its evolution. Each deformation domain has a distinctive gravity signal, so the detailed Bouguer anomaly map presented here is a good first approach to the regional study of the whole margin. Moreover, as the presented chart is a complete Bouguer anomaly map (including terrain corrections), its analysis and interpretation can be done in terms of density, geometry and depth variations below the seafloor. This map is mainly based on the dataset obtained during seven one-month surveys carried out in the frame of the Spanish Economic Exclusive Zone project, and also includes two 2 + 3/4D density models illustrating the deep structure of the marginThe marine surveys are supported by the Spanish Defense Ministry, as this is the managing body of the Spanish Exclusive Economic Zone Project (SEEZ). Additionally, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid funds travel expenses of its personnel embarking on the surveys, as does the Instituto Geológico y Minero de España in the frame of the internal project entitled ‘Plan de Investigaciones Geológicas y Geofísicas de la Zona Económica Exclusiva Española (ZEEE)
