ABSTRACT The purpose of this studying to develop Instructional Material of a Course book based on the autonomous learning with the main teaching procedure: presentation, practice, and production for Senior High School Student, the research question is: what are the learning needs of the students of senior high school in speaking skill. How is the course design developed based on the autonomous learning by using the ADDIE stage?. What are the students and teachers perception on the designed speaking instructional material based on autonomous learning?. This development research consisted of need analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The need analysis through deep discussion presents a model of English teaching and prototype which was tried out to get appropriate instructional materials with pre-test and post-test design at three secondary schools. The instructional materials and instruments used were validated by the experts in their field. At every stage of development the materials were discussed and validated. The result indicated that instructional materials based on autonomous learning and the procedures of presentation, practice, and production are appropriate for students and school curriculum. Instructional materials with different strategies and various materials effective to improve the English achievement of the students. Both teachers and students argue that the instructional materials are good enough to be used in teaching and learning process to increase the English achievement of the students. Lost-Phase and Short-Circuit Impacts on Electrical Network Managed by a Dual IPCs 30P15

    Get PDF
This work evaluates the impact of short-circuit and the phase-lost in a particular transmission network located in south division in Cameroon (Central Africa). This network is precisely located between two towns called Songloulou and Logbaba (douala Town). The chosen network is modelled in Matlab Simulink software. Further, the network currents and voltages undergo non periodical distortions when short-circuit and phase lost come into play. Those distortions are deleted when dual controllers’ system is introduced and the network is stabilized. It appears that dual IPCs (interphase power controllers) present good results. However, the dual system which is a combination of two IPCs improves the network stability. The investigation of dual IPCs’ system uses the phase shift method

Crosstalk Characterization and Reduction in Power Lines

    Get PDF
We propose a technique of crosstalk reduction through power lines. This crosstalk reduction technique uses the pseudo-matched impedances’ method that determines the characteristic parameters of the chosen line through the transmission lines’ theory. Besides, we establish the telegrapher's equations to determine the characteristic impedances of the line. Further, two types of lines are employed here to apply the pseudo-matched impedances’ method. The far-and near-ends crosstalk are measured with two strategies known as Simulink diagram and Matlab code. The Simulink diagram of the power line provides crosstalk curves and the Matlab code directly returns crosstalk values. It appears that the crosstalk has a reduction rate between 20 and 50% compared to previous investigations using pseudo-matched impedances in literature. Moreover, the variation of two different types of impedances leads to a crosstalk reduction rate that approaches 99%.Published By: Blue Eyes Intelligence Engineering and Sciences Publication (BEIESP) © Copyright: All rights reserved

New Discriminant Functions and Geochemistry of the Mamfe Cretaceous Formations (South West Cameroon)

    Get PDF
Major and trace element geochemistry have been used to unravel the tectonic setting, source rock composition, and depositional environment of sedimentary rocks in the Mamfe formation. Field studies reveal both sub tabular and tabular outcrops indicating a post tectonic sedimentary activity for the subtabualar outcrops. Major element geochemistry reveals a moderate to high proportion (50-75wt %) of silica for the analyzed samples. New discriminant diagrams constructed for usage of adjusted major elements shows samples plotting on collision, arc and rift. Another discriminant plot for adjusted major element combined with trace elements shows samples plotting on active and passive tectonic setting.  Ratios of highly immobile trace elements such as Cr/Th, Th/Sc, Th/Co, and La/Sc conclude a felsic source rock for the studied rocks of the Mamfe formation. Trace elements ratios for redox conditions and marine-continental discrimination such as Ni/Co, U/Th, V/Cr, Th/U, and Y/Ho show that the sedimentary rocks of the   formation were deposited in a shallow oxygenated continental fluvio-lacustrine environment

The purpose of this study is to find out how the four teachers at the two preschools believe they are working with gender and how they actually work with it in practice. It also aims to show how they treat the children at the preschool based on their gender. What is the preschool teachers view on gender and equality? How do they consider that they work with gender and gender equality, and how do they really work with it in practice? The study is based on a qualitative study were I chose to both interview and observe four preschool teachers from two different preschools. My theoretical starting point is Yvonne Hirdmans theory of gender and also research on gender equality. The results show that the majority of respondents believed that gender and gender equality means almost the same thing or have the same meaning. They could not explain the concepts further. It also showed that the majority of informants are working for equality more than gender, when they emphasizes that the individual should be placed in the center and that it should be based on individual rights, regardless of gender

Surge, então, a dança moderna. Not informed
