Wahrnehmungen und Verortungen recht(sextrem)er Positionierungen von Studierenden Sozialer Arbeit durch Lehrende

Der vorliegende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie Lehrende recht(sextrem)e Äußerungen seitens Studierender in Fachbereichen der Sozialen Arbeit begegnen bzw. wie sie diese verorten. Für die Erschließung der Problemstellung wird auf qualitative, leitfadengestützte Interviews zurückgegriffen, die mit Lehrenden der Sozialen Arbeit durchgeführt wurden. Im Ergebnis wird festgestellt, dass sich sowohl im Hinblick auf die Hochschule als Raum als auch auf die Lehrenden als Personen Dynamiken der Distanzierung vom Phänomen recht(sextrem)er Studierender aufzeigen lassen. Diese werden in ihrer Existenz zwar anerkannt und das Phänomen wird im Hinblick auf seine Relevanz gewürdigt. Gleichermaßen erfolgt häufig eine Verschiebung in andere Hochschulen, andere Regionen oder andere Fachbereiche. Für Forschung und Praxis verbleibt der Auftrag weitere Austauschmöglichkeiten zu schaffen, im Rahmen derer Verunsicherung, Erfahrungswerte und die Existenz eines eigentlich vollständig professionsfremden Phänomens innerhalb der Sozialen Arbeit diskutiert werden können.This article deals with the question of how educators deal with right-wing (extremist) statements by students in the context of the university in general and the social work department in particular, and how they locate them. Qualitative, guideline-supported interviews conducted with social work educators are used to examine the problem. The results show that dynamics of distancing from the phenomenon of right-wing (extremist) students can be identified both with regard to the university as a space and to the educators as individuals. Their existence is recognised and the phenomenon is acknowledged in terms of its relevance. At the same time, a relocation to other universities, other regions or other departments can be observed. The task remains to create further opportunities for exchange in which uncertainty, experience and the existence of a phenomenon that is conceptually incompatible with the profession can be discussed within the profession of social work

Ausgestiegene in der Bildungsarbeit - eine kritische Betrachtung

In den letzten Jahren ist eine Zunahme der Nachfrage nach Darbietungen von Ausgestiegenen aus der extremen Rechten in der schulischen und außerschulischen Bildungsarbeit zu verzeichnen. Diese Anfragen werden auch an professionelle Ausstiegshilfen im Bereich Rechtsextremismus herangetragen (Lehmeier 2020: 67). Im Kontext dieser Anfragen hat sich mittlerweile ein Diskurs zur Sinnhaftigkeit sowie Professionalität in diesem unübersichtlichen Feld von Angeboten ergeben. Der Diskurs soll an dieser Stelle in einigen Punkten nachvollzogen werden und umfasst verschiedene Aspekte, wie die unterschiedliche Verwendung des Ausstiegsbegriffs sowie die Heterogenität von Angeboten mit Ausgestiegenen in der Bildungsarbeit. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Vergleich von Qualitätsstandards und Darstellungen zur Bildungsarbeit verschiedener Angebote sowie kritischen Positionen aus Wissenschaft und Praxis. Berücksichtigung findet dabei u.a. der Aspekt der Authentizität, welcher häufig als Argument für die Durchführung derartiger Veranstaltung angeführt wird. Im Anschluss werden kritische Hinweise und Alternativen zur Umsetzung von Bildungsveranstaltungen mit Ausgestiegenen im Kontext von Bildungsveranstaltungen vorgestellt.The current standards concerning the engagement of formers in the field of education are differing in terms of extent, possible aims and basic conditions. Due to the large interest in those formats there is a necessity to add more precision to the standards and to attend to the differences. Criticized can be assumptions of authentity and expertise in respect of the topic. For the formers giving a lecture the publication of their own biography offers an opportunity of redemption. The own history constantly to be told as well as the source of income connected to this narration is inhibiting a reconstruction of individual identity far away from far-right scene coherences and harbor security risks. The long-term preoccupation with existing thematic literature including pedagocial supplementary material together with approaches of experiential education oriented towards experiences and attitudes of students can act as an alternative to lectures and workshops given by formers

Resveratrol post-transcriptionally regulates pro-inflammatory gene expression via regulation of KSRP RNA binding activity

Resveratrol shows beneficial effects in inflammation-based diseases like cancer, cardiovascular and chronic inflammatory diseases. Therefore, the molecular mechanisms of the anti-inflammatory resveratrol effects deserve more attention. In human epithelial DLD-1 and monocytic Mono Mac 6 cells resveratrol decreased the expression of iNOS, IL-8 and TNF-α by reducing mRNA stability without inhibition of the promoter activity. Shown by pharmacological and siRNA-mediated inhibition, the observed effects are SIRT1-independent. Target-fishing and drug responsive target stability experiments showed selective binding of resveratrol to the RNA-binding protein KSRP, a central post-transcriptional regulator of pro-inflammatory gene expression. Knockdown of KSRP expression prevented resveratrol-induced mRNA destabilization in human and murine cells. Resveratrol did not change KSRP expression, but immunoprecipitation experiments indicated that resveratrol reduces the p38 MAPK-related inhibitory KSRP threonine phosphorylation, without blocking p38 MAPK activation or activity. Mutation of the p38 MAPK target site in KSRP blocked the resveratrol effect on pro-inflammatory gene expression. In addition, resveratrol incubation enhanced KSRP-exosome interaction, which is important for mRNA degradation. Finally, resveratrol incubation enhanced its intra-cellular binding to the IL-8, iNOS and TNF-α mRNA. Therefore, modulation of KSRP mRNA binding activity and, thereby, enhancement of mRNA degradation seems to be the common denominator of many anti-inflammatory effects of resveratrol
