Ce travail est une contribution expérimentale à l'étude de la durabilité des différentes compositions de bétons ordinaires sans adjuvants, à base des granulats naturels et recyclés avec différentes combinaisons granulaires (sable et gravier). Après identification et caractérisation physico-chimiques et mécaniques des granulats en particulier les recyclés, on a réalisé des essais de durabilité sur des bétons classe cible C25/30 en prenant en considération le même type et dosage du ciment et la même classe de consistance S2.La procédure expérimentale consiste à comparer les résistances mécaniques ainsi que les indicateurs de durabilité les plus déterminants pour ces bétons à savoir : la porosité, la perméabilité et la lixiviation au nitrate d'ammonium. L'étude comparative entre les différentes compositions de bétons recyclés a montré des propriétés physiques et mécaniques acceptables vis-à-vis de la résistance mécanique et de la durabilité. Les granulats recyclés peuvent constituer un matériau de substitution à des granulats naturels. ABSTRACT: This work is an experimental contribution to the study of the sustainability of various compositions of ordinary concrete without additives, made of natural and recycled aggregates with different combinations granular (sand and gravel). After identification and physico-chemical and mechanical characterization of the recycled aggregates in particular, durability tests were carried out on concrete target class C25/30, taking into account the same type and dosage of the cement and the same consistency class S2. The experimental procedure is to compare the strengths and the most critical sustainability indicators for these concretes are: porosity, permeability and leaching of ammonium nitrate. The comparative study between different recycled concrete compositions showed acceptable physical and mechanical properties vis-à-vis the strength and durability.     International audienceL'utilisation de granulats recyclés présente les nouvelles tendances dans la construction comme une alternative aux granulats naturels. Cependant, une absorption d'eau élevée et des propriétés mécaniques pas assez bonnes des granulats recyclés influencent par conséquent, la résistance et la durabilité du béton durci. Pour une tenue pérenne du béton, il est nécessaire d'avoir des exigences de perméabilité à l'eau, au gaz et une résistance à la diffusion d'ions. Ce travail est une contribution expérimentale à l'étude de la durabilité des différentes compositions de bétons ordinaires (naturels/recyclés) avec différentes combinaisons granulaires (sable et gravier). Et, pour se faire réaliser des caractérisations physico-chimiques et mécaniques, des granulats en particulier les recyclés et des bétons ont été menées. Les essais ont été réalisées sur une formulation de béton type : un dosage en ciment constant C=400kg/m 3 , une même maniabilité du béton frais (Aff= 70±20mm) et une classe de béton cible C25/30. La procédure expérimentale consiste à comparer les résistances mécaniques à long terme, des bétons conservés dans trois types de solutions (eau de robinet, Eau déminéralisée et eau très salée), ainsi que les indicateurs de durabilité les plus déterminants pour ces bétons à savoir : la porosité, la perméabilité et la lixiviation au nitrate d'ammonium avec deux concentrations (faible et forte). Les propriétés physico-mécaniques et chimiques des granulats recyclés (GR) sont inférieures à celles des granulats naturels (GN). Cette étude comparative entre les différents bétons à base des granulats recyclés "issus de béton de démolition" et naturels, montre globalement que ces recyclés possèdent des caractéristiques acceptables vis-à-vis de la durabilité, dont la valorisation des granulats recyclés pour la fabrication des bétons semble une voie prometteuse

    Tissue Expression of HSP27 in Prostate Cancer Is Correlated with the Aggressivity of Cancer in the Algerien Population

    Background: Prostate Cancer (CaP) is the second most common cancer in men and a major public health problem. Clinical outcomes at diagnosis are heterogeneous and difficult to predict, so predictive and diagnostic markers are needed. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) such as HSP27 are highly regulated in several malignant tumors. Basal HSP27 levels in most human tissues are low compared to high levels in tumors. Methods: In this work, we evaluated, in subjects with CaP, the levels of expression of the HSP27 antigen in tumor tissues and its association with tumor aggressiveness. The Immunohistochemical (IHC) method was used to determine the expression of HSP27 in 58 prostate cancer tissues and 4 prostate hyperplasia (BPH). Results: Tissue levels of HSP27 were significantly higher in patients with CaP than in BPH (QSM = 153.43±0; P&lt;0.0001). In the case of aggressive cancer (Gleason score &gt; 7), we found a very significant increase in HSP27 protein (QSM = 169.73±84.26; P&lt;0.0001) compared to non-aggressive cancer (Gleason score ≤ 7) (QSM = 123.92± 91.36; P&lt;0.001). Conclusion: Overexpression of HSP27 in the tissues of patients with CaP compared to patients with BPH may be of diagnostic and/or prognostic interest and maybe a therapeutic target in patients with prostate cancer

    Growth characteristics, nitrogen uptake and enzyme activities of the nitrate-utilising ectomycorrhizal Scleroderma verrucosum

    The growth characteristics and uptake capacities for NO3- and NH4+, as well as activities of nitrogen assimilating-enzymes have been determined in Scleroderma verrucosum. Biomass, grown on agar or liquid MMN media, was higher on nitrate. When S. verrucosum was grown in the presence of equal amounts of ammonium and nitrate, uptake rate for NH4+ was considerably higher than that of NO3-. In addition, it was found that a limitation in ammonium concentration was a prerequisite for nitrate uptake. Nitrate reductase was stimulated when the fungus was transferred from ammonium to nitrate containing media, indicating that the enzyme was inducible by nitrate and repressed by ammonium. Glutamine synthetase and NAD-glutamate synthase activities were clearly detected in S. verrucosum, while the NADP-glutamate dehydrogenase was almost undetectable. This is consistent with the view that ammonium assimilation occurs through the GS/GOGAT cycle in S. verrucosum

    Contribution of IgG avidity and PCR for the early diagnosis of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women from the North-Eastern region of Algeria

    Background: Acute toxoplasmosis in pregnant women presents a high risk of Toxoplasma transmission to the fetus. Early diagnosis is difficult, especially when serological testing for IgG/IgM antibodies fail to differentiate between a recent and a past infection. In this case, we rely on IgG avidity or PCR assays.Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare conventional ELISA and IgG avidity, with PCR using B1 and P30 primers for the early diagnosis of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women.Methods: Sera were collected from 143 pregnant women and measured by ELISA for anti-Toxoplasma IgG, IgM, IgA and IgG avidity. DNA was extracted from 57 peripheral blood and 14 amniotic fluid samples for PCR amplification.Results: A total of 57 out 143 women were seropositive: 30 (52.6%) were IgG+/IgM- and 27 (43.8%) were IgG+/IgM+; IgA antibodies were positive in 7 (12.2%) cases. IgG avidity was low in 9 women suggesting an acute infection; 3 women presented an intermediate avidity. PCR detected Toxoplasma DNA in 9 women presenting low avidity and was negative for the intermediate avidity cases.Conclusion: PCR combined to avidity IgG performed better than ELISA IgG, IgM and/or IgA assays alone.     Efficient deprotection of Boc group in amines and sulfamides using Dawson heteropolyacid catalyst

    A series of sulfamides containing two protecting groups have been synthesized starting from N-benzoylaminoacids derivatives of (glycine, alanine, valine, leucine, phenylalanine), chlorosulfonylisocyanate and primary amines. Selective deprotection of the cyclic or linear sulfamides and amines has been achieved by treatment with heteropolyacid, which is easily recoverable and reusable. This method represents a reasonable alternative to the previous reported deprotection procedures

    Clinicopathological Characteristics of Breast Cancer in a Population of Eastern Algeria

    Background: One of the most common cancers in female is the breast cancer. It is the most important cause of neoplasie deaths among women in both developed countries and developing countries. The incidence of breast cancer has increased more than 10000 new cases per year. The aim of our study is to determine the clinical characteristics of breast cancer in the Eastern Algeria. Methods: This is a retrospective study made in public hospital EHS Abdallah Nouaouria El Bouni, Annaba gynecology and anatomy pathology services, which included 40 patients over a period of three months from July to September 2019. Results: The mean age was 49.87 (SD = 9.2) years. The age group of 40–76&nbsp;years represented the majority of the study population (85%). A total of 30 patients (75%) had invasive ductal carcinoma, while 3 (7,5%) had ductal carcinoma in situ, 3 (7,5%) had inflammatory breast cancer, 2 (5%) had mucinous carcinoma and 2 (5%) had phyllodes tumors . The average size tumor was 3,7 cm. The rate of tumor grade with large size T2, T3 and T4b was 70%.&nbsp; 45% of patients had positive lymph nodes and 2,5 % had bilateral breast cancer. No metastatic cases were reported. Results also show that the most affected women are between 35 and 55 years; 92,5% have an&nbsp; invasive breast cancer, and more than 80% are in advanced stage . Conclusion: Histological diagnosis&nbsp;is important since it state the specific type of carcinoma. One of the best approaches to prevent this disease is early diagnosis

    Investigation of CuIn1-xGaxSe2 thin films co-evaporated from two metal sources for photovoltaic solar cells

     CuIn1-xGaxSe2 (CIGS) thin films were grown by co-evaporation using two sources for the metal elements (Cu, Ga and In). A Mo coated soda lime glass substrates heated at 500 °C was used for the deposition. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confirm that these films are polycrystalline with a chalcopyrite structure and showed homogeneous grain size estimate about 25 nm. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was performed to analyse the binding energy values of Ga3d and O1s onto CIGSe layers. The conductivity measurements in the temperature range of 40-400 K were carried out for 0.05≤ x ≤ 0.23. The effect of grain boundary scattering on the electrical transport played an important role in describing the transport processes in these films. The bowing factor is discussed taking into account the deposition techniques of CIGS films. It has been noticed that the open circuit voltage (Voc) is influenced by Ga content and the energy gap value of the absorber CIGS thin layers and yielded a poor efficiency of solar cells
