Estudo das relações entre cordas no círculo a partir do geogebra.

No âmbito do ensino de geometria as possibilidades do uso de recursos tecnológicos no processo de ensino são imensas. Os softwares de geometria dinâmica surgem como um instrumento propício para auxiliar o professor em sua prática pedagógica e contribuir com o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos, apresentando novos meios para o entendimento de conceitos e propriedades geométricas. Além disso, cabe observar que na educação básica pública existe certa dificuldade em se ensinar todos os tópicos de geometria pelo fato de o currículo escolar ser bastante abrangente (não condizendo com o tempo dedicado à disciplina de matemática) e a parte dedicada à geometria aparecer nos últimos capítulos na maioria dos livros didáticos. Observando estes aspectos, realizamos um estudo do círculo e suas propriedades planas utilizando o software GeoGebra, oferecendo aos alunos a possibilidade de investigar problemas, levantar hipóteses e propor soluções, proporcionando a eles meios para a realização de um aprendizado significativo da matemática, tornando-os agentes do processo de construção do próprio conhecimento. Por fim, apresentamos um relato de experiência das atividades didáticas propostas aplicadas em uma turma da segunda série do ensino médio.In the context of geometry teaching the possibility of the use of technological resources in the teaching process is immense. The dynamic geometry software emerge as an enabling tool to assist teachers in their teaching practice and contribute to students learning process,presenting new ways for understanding concepts and geometrical properties. Furthermore, it is worth noting that in the public basic education there is some difficulty in teaching all topics in geometry because the school curriculum is very comprehensive (not befitting the time devoted to the discipline of mathematics) and the part dedicated to geometry appears in the last chapters in most textbooks. Observing these aspects, we conducted a study circle and its flat properties using the software GeoGebra, offering students the opportunity to investigate problems, raise hypotheses and propose solutions, giving them the means to achieve a meaningful learning of mathematics, making them actors of the construction process of their own knowledge. Aspectos radiográficos e da microvasculatura do músculo esternocleidomastóideo pelo pelo ramo da artéria occipital

A contribuição do ramo esternocleidomastóideo da artéria occipital para a irrigação do músculo esternocleidomastóideo foi avaliada em cadáveres humanos não fixados, através da injeção de contraste radiográfico e de resina polimerizável para estudo da microvasculatura. O músculo foi dividido nos terços superior, médio e inferior, a partir da sua inserção no processo mastóideo do osso temporal. Na maioria dos músculos, o pedículo superior apresentou-se formado por dois ramos paralelos longitudinais. Em todos os casos, o contraste radiográfico atingiu ou ultrapassou a parte média do músculo. Na parte mais distal do terço inferior, há pouca ou nenhuma contribuição do pedículo superior para a irrigação dessa região muscular sugerindo a contribuição de outros vasos para a sua irrigação. Os modelos de corrosão demonstraram a presença de uma profusa rede vascular no interior do músculo.The contribution of the sternocleidomastoid branch of the occipital artery (superior arterial pedicle - SAP) to the irrigation of the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) was evaluated in fresh human cadavers by injecting radiological dye and a resin for microvasculature corrosion casts. From its insertion in the mastoid process of the temporal bone, the SCM was divided into superior, medium, and inferior thirds. In most of the SCM, The SAP are formed by two longitudinal parallel branches. In all specimens, the radiological dye injected into the SAP reached or trespassed the middle part of the studied SCM. The SAP was poorly distributed in the lowermost region of the inferior third of the SCM, suggesting the contribution of other arteries or pedicles. The corrosion casts of the microvasculature showed a profuse network of microscopic vessels in those levels where the SAP was detected

As regiões de planejamento de Minas Gerais sob a ótica do desenvolvimento rural sustentável: uma abordagem teórico-metodológica

O estudo revelou uma tipologia dos municípios mineiros a partir de suas principais características sociais, econômicas e institucionais de desenvolvimento rural sustentável. Com esse fim, foram aplicados dois métodos estatísticos multivariados (componentes principais e classificação por cluster), utilizando 20 indicadores, divididos em seis dimensões, definidas pelo Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário, na forma de diretrizes para o desenvolvimento rural sustentável, são elas: Diversidades sociais e regionais; Direitos e qualidade de vida; Conhecimentos e saberes; Organização social e participação política; Organização econômica e mercados e Produção, consumo e sustentabilidade. Os indicadores foram selecionados a partir de diversas fontes de dados, para os 853 municípios do estado de Minas Gerais, e os resultados mostraram que é possível agrupar os municípios mineiros em quatro regiões relativamente homogêneas: municípios em condições muito favoráveis de desenvolvimento rural sustentável; municípios em condições favoráveis de desenvolvimento rural sustentável; municípios em condições pouco favoráveis de desenvolvimento rural sustentável e municípios em condições desfavoráveis de desenvolvimento rural sustentável

A method for accurate measurement of chemical elements concentrations present in total suspended particulates and PM 10 in the atmosphere

In this paper we present an analytic method for theidentification and the quantification of chemical elements in theatmosphere present in TSP and PM10. To the present moment, themethod is applicable to a total of 16 metals. The method was used toanalyze TSP and PM10 samples collected in the city of Canoas, in thegreater Porto Alegre, Brazil. In order to obtain relative measures ofPM10 concentrations, the method was also used to analyze samples from a neutral location. The results were checked against electronicmicroscopy findings, having an excellent agreement. Geologicalanalysis of the electronic microscopy results was used to infer thepollutants source.Apresenta-se um método analítico para a identificação ea quantificação de elementos químicos presentes nas PartículasTotais Suspensas (TSP) na atmosfera e nos particulados PM10. Estemétodo foi aplicado para a quantificação de 16 metais emsuspensão na atmosfera da região de Canoas, RS. Use of Antioxidant Substances in Intestinal Anastomosis in Rats

Introduction: Intestinal anastomosis consist of surgical procedures which there is an anastomotic line between two intestinal segments in order to reconstruct or divert the digestive transit. However, several complications may result from this surgical procedure. Objective: Present, describe and discuss the findings of the literature regarding substances capable of reducing injury and possible complications of intestinal anastomoses. Method: The data were collected by literature review using the descriptors: "intestinal anastomoses", "antioxidants"; and as basis articles published in the published Scientific Electronic Library (Scielo), Lilacs, MedLine and Pubmed databases. Inclusion criteria were original and review articles published in full in the online form in the Portuguese, Spanish and English languages, using the descriptors mentioned above in the respective languages. Results: Scientific articles were collected, in which 38 papers were included in the inclusion criteria. Conclusions: The major parts of substances described in the present study demonstrated be statistically relevant results and the capacity to optimize the anastomotic healing

Reengagement of HIV-infected children lost to follow-up after active mobile phone tracing in a rural area of Mozambique

Introduction: Retention in care and reengagement of lost to follow-up (LTFU) patients are priority challenges in pediatric HIV care. We aimed to assess whether a telephone-call active tracing program facilitated reengagement in care (RIC) in the Manhiça District Hospital, Mozambique. Methods: Telephone tracing of LTFU children was performed from July 2016 to March 2017. Both ART (antiretroviral treatment) and preART patients were included in this study. LTFU was defined as not attending the clinic for ≥120 days after last attended visit. Reengagement was determined 3 months after an attempt to contact. Results: A total of 144 children initially identified as LTFU entered the active tracing program and 37 were reached by means of telephone tracing. RIC was 57% (95% CI, 39–72%) among children who could be reached versus 18% (95% CI, 11–26%) of those who could not be reached (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Telephone tracing could be an effective tool for facilitating reengagement in pediatric HIV care.
