    S铆ndrome de Burnout en un hospital p煤blico en el departamento de Bol铆var - Colombia

    This project will determine the prevalence of burnout syndrome in a Social Enterprise to the Department of Bol铆var. Its aim is to assess job stress to which they are exposed Staff Members of the company to generate recommendations to help them improve the working environment and working conditions. A descriptive study with a population of 82 workers, including administrative, medical, and general assistance was made. This study was applied to the entire population of workers. Taking into account variables such as age, occupation, sex, economic status, height, marital status, education, length of service, public services, the survey method Maslach (Maslach Burnout Inventory) was used as an instrument. It is evident that 37 subjects (45.12 %) scored higher for emotional exhaustion, 8 subjects (9.75 %) scored higher for Depersonalization and 7 subjects (8.55%) were rated low for personal fulfillment. It is an affectation of burnout finally detected by the 17 subjects, corresponding to 21.14 % of the total population, reflected in high levels of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment syndrome.Este proyecto determin贸 la prevalencia del s铆ndrome de Burnout en un hospital p煤blico en el Departamento de Bol铆var. Su objetivo consisti贸 en  evaluar el estr茅s laboral al que est谩n expuestos los funcionarios de la empresa para generar recomendaciones que los ayuden a mejorar el entorno laboral y las condiciones de trabajo. Se realiz贸 un estudio descriptivo cuya  poblaci贸n asciende a los 82 trabajadores, entre  administrativos, m茅dicos, y asistenciales en general. Este estudio se aplic贸 a  toda la poblaci贸n de trabajadores. Teniendo en cuenta variables como  edad,  oficio, sexo, estrato econ贸mico, estatura, estado civil, escolaridad, antig眉edad en la empresa, servicios p煤blicos, se utiliz贸 como instrumento la encuesta del m茅todo de Maslach  (Maslach Burnout Inventory). Se evidencia que 37 sujetos (45.12%) puntuaron alto para agotamiento emocional, 8 sujetos (9.75%) puntuaron alto para Despersonalizaci贸n y 7 sujetos (8.55%) puntuaron bajo para realizaci贸n personal. Se detecta finalmente una afectaci贸n por s铆ndrome de burnout del 17 sujetos, correspondiente al 21.14% de la poblaci贸n total, reflejado en altos niveles de agotamiento emocional, despersonalizaci贸n  y baja realizaci贸n personal

    Extensive jurisprudence deals with occupational hazards that affect the daily lives of workers throughout the world, both due to work accidents and occupational diseases, the latter being the most complex to intervene due to the wide range of triggering factors and the need to demonstrate irrefutable way that has to do with occupational risks. The purpose of this text is to demonstrate the documentary and legislative existence that deals with occupational disease and how it is managed by the actors of the occupational risk system in Colombia: workers, employers, and occupational risk administrator, based on the existing literature. For this, the contextualization of this topic addressed aspects of the management of specific situations of occupational disease.Extensa jurisprudencia trata sobre los riesgos laborales que afectan el diario vivir de los trabajadores en todo el mundo, tanto por accidentes de trabajo como de enfermedad laboral, siendo esta 煤ltima la m谩s compleja de intervenir por la amplia gama de factores desencadenantes y la necesidad de indicar de manera irrefutable que tiene que ver con los riesgos ocupacionales.     After the need for procedures and guidelines that facilitate the management of waste, it is proposed to implement a plan for comprehensive management of hospital and similar waste (PGIRHS), to assess the risks through a consistent matrix with the GTC 045 standard so that will provide useful input on safety and health at work, which in turn propend to preserve, maintain and continuously improve the quality of life of workers of the institution. These goals were made through visits to the institution, in which inquiries were applied for the development of procedures for handling, treatment and disposal is given to waste, safety inspections, as well as photographic record at specific points way of support for the research study. In conclusion, the PGIRHS was formulated at the institution, then standards and procedures for effective waste management defined further the risks to which it is exposed center staff, giving a priority to biological risk, based onthis assessed prevention and control measures were passed in an action plan.Tras la necesidad de tener procedimientos y gu铆as que faciliten el manejo de los residuos, se propone implementar un plan de gesti贸n integral de residuos hospitalarios y similares (PGIRHS), que permita evaluar los riesgos mediante una matriz acorde con la norma GTC 045 de tal forma que se aporten insumos 煤tiles en seguridad y salud en el trabajo, que a su vez propendan a preservar, mantener y mejorar continuamente la calidad de vida de los trabajadores de la instituci贸n. Tales fines se realizaron en medio de visitas a la instituci贸n, en la cual se aplicaron indagaciones respecto al desarrollo de procedimientos para la manipulaci贸n, tratamiento y disposici贸n que se le da a los residuos, inspecciones de seguridad, como tambi茅n registro fotogr谩fico en puntos espec铆ficos a manera de soporte para el estudio de investigaci贸n. Concluyendo, se formul贸 el PGIRHS en la instituci贸n, seguidamente se definieron normas y procedimientos para la gesti贸n efectiva de los residuos, adem谩s se evaluaron los riesgos a los cuales est谩 expuesto el personal del centro, obteniendo como prioritario al riesgo biol贸gico, con base a esto se dictaron medidas de prevenci贸n y control en un plan de acci贸n. &nbsp

    Se dise帽aron estrategias administrativas y t茅cnicas para disminuir la exposici贸n a niveles de presi贸n sonora en una empresa de remolcadores. Realiz谩ndose visitas de campo y entrevistas, medici贸n de niveles de presi贸n sonora con son贸metro y dos铆metros, formulaci贸n de estrategias administrativas y t茅cnicas para control de exposici贸n. Se detectaron niveles de presi贸n sonora en 谩rea operativa que oscilan entre 101.4 decibeles a 104,4 decibeles, proyectado a 8 horas. Se determinaron los niveles de presi贸n sonora a los que se encuentran expuestos 6 operadores de los cuartos de m谩quinas, a trav茅s de una sonometr铆a y seis dosimetr铆as, estableciendo que el espectro del ruido existente en el cuarto de m谩quinas representa una exposici贸n alta, superando los valores l铆mites permisibles. A partir de estos resultados, se plantearon estrategias de mejora para la empresa y trabajadores, por medio de programas de capacitaci贸n y asesoramiento para la asignaci贸n de elementos de protecci贸n personal con 铆ndices de atenuaci贸n pertinentes al tipo y nivel de ruido existente en el 谩rea de trabajo y de un manual

    Implementaci贸n del sistema de gesti贸n de plaguicidas en una peque帽a empresa dedicada al control de plagas

    Organizations dedicated to pest control, are characterized by being mostly small companies classified with high occupational risk due to the use of pesticides during their economic activity, for this reason they must adequately manage the health risks of workers. The present study is an intervention research; whose objective was to establish the process of pesticide management in a company dedicated to pest control in Cartagena de Indias, in order to reduce the health risk of personnel exposed to these substances. 100% was achieved in structuring the pesticide management system. In the implementation of the system it was reached between 84 to 100%. However, in the final evaluation, between 95 and 100% compliance was obtained. In relation to the results obtained in the health of workers, a decrease in the percentage of cholinesterase enzyme inhibition was observed, going from 30 to 13 and finally to 1.2% during the years 2016, 2017 and 2018, respectively. It concludes that with the implementation of the pesticide management system, continuous improvement of the organization and self-care by all the employees of the organization were promoted.Las organizaciones dedicadas al control de plagas, se caracterizan por ser en su mayor铆a peque帽as empresas clasificadas con riesgo laboral alto debido al empleo de plaguicidas durante su actividad econ贸mica, por esta raz贸n deben gestionar adecuadamente los riesgos en la salud de los trabajadores. El presente estudio es una investigaci贸n de intervenci贸n; cuyo objetivo fue implementar el proceso de gesti贸n de plaguicidas en una empresa dedicada al control de plagas en Cartagena de Indias, en aras de reducir el riesgo a la salud del personal expuesto a estas sustancias. Se logr贸 el 100% en la estructuraci贸n del sistema de gesti贸n de plaguicida. En la implementaci贸n del sistema se alcanz贸 entre 84 a 100%. Sin embargo en la evaluaci贸n final se obtuvo entre 95 y 100% de cumplimiento. Con relaci贸n a los resultados obtenidos en la salud de los trabajadores, se observ贸 una disminuci贸n del porcentaje de inhibici贸n de enzima colinesterasas, pasando de 30 a 13 y finalmente 1,2 % durante los a帽os 2016, 2017 y 2018, respectivamente. Se concluye que con la implementaci贸n del sistema de gesti贸n de plaguicidas se promovi贸 la mejora continua de la organizaci贸n y el autocuidado por parte de todos los colaboradores de la organizaci贸n

    Conditions of work and dermatitis in workers exposed to chemical risks by cement

    This research was carried out in order to identify the working conditions in workers exposed to cement in a cement factory in the city of Cartagena. Through different tools it was possible to carry out the diagnosis of the working conditions and to identify the hazards to which the workers of the company are exposed when being in direct contact with the cement; in this way it was possible to know that the dermatitis that were manifesting the workers has its direct relation with this chemical and therefore to be able to establish those measures tending to ensure the complete state of health of the workers. The type of research carried out is descriptive-qualitative, the applied methodology used as a closed questions survey tool, it was obtained as a result that 70% of the respondents did not use personal protection elements when handling cement, so can say that there is a considerable number of people exposed, which increases the likelihood that they may suffer contact dermatitis, through this the different preventive measures for working and health conditions among the employees of the cement company were raised

    Factors associated with job satisfaction in teachers of a higher education institution in the Colombian Caribbean

    Se caracteriz贸 sociodemogr谩fica y laboralmente a docentes de un centro universitario del caribe colombiano, identific谩ndose mediante una prueba de independencia chi-cuadro, los factores influyentes en la satisfacci贸n laboral. Se utiliz贸 una encuesta versi贸n S20/23 de Meli谩 y Peir贸. Las mayores insatisfacciones est谩n relacionadas con los espacios f铆sicos de la instituci贸n y el salario. Existe relaci贸n significativa entre el nivel acad茅mico y los factores supervisi贸n y participaci贸n, el cargo y factores de ambiente f铆sico y prestaciones y la edad.Sociodemographic and labor characteristics were characterized by teachers from a university center in the Colombian Caribbean, identifying factors influencing job satisfaction through a chi-box test of independence.
