Didaktische Vorschläge für ein erfolgreiches Blended-Learning-Modell in kooperativen Übungsszenarien im DaF-Unterricht

Der Hauptgedanke dieses Beitrags ist die Vorstellung bestimmter Prinzipien bei der Gestaltung eines erfolgreichen Blended-Learning-Modells. Das Ziel der Anwendung des BL-Modells im Unterricht ist die Unterstützung der Lernenden beim Fremdsprachenerwerb. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt wird dabei auf emotionale und soziale Aspekte gelegt. Im Beitrag werden didaktische Vorschläge für ein BL-Modell vorgestellt, die den Lehrkräften einen schrittweisen Einstieg ermöglichen, Online-Aufgaben selbst zu gestalten oder zu ergänzen.The main objective of this paper is the presentation of implications for the creation of a Blended-Learning-Model. The mission of the Blended Learning is help through computer supported collaborative and individual learning tasks, as well as a more human-like dimension for positive and corrective feedback. Using SEM-EDX and ICP-OES to Investigate the Elemental Composition of Green Macroalga Vaucheria sessilis

The biomass of Vaucheria sessilis forms algal mats in many freshwaters. There is a need to find the method of algal biomass utilization. Vaucheria sessilis is a rich source of micro- and macronutrients and can be used as a soil amendment. In the paper, the elemental composition of enriched, via bioaccumulation process, macroalga was investigated. For this purpose, two independent techniques were used: scanning electron microscopy with an energy dispersive X-ray analytical system (SEMEDX) and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES). The biomass was exposed to two microelemental solutions, with Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions. After two weeks of the experiment, macroalga accumulated 98.5 mg of Zn(II) ions in 1 g of dry biomass and 68.9 mg g−1 of Cu(II) ions. Micrographs performed by SEM proved that bioaccumulation occurred. Metal ions were bound on the surface and in the interior of cells. Mappings of all cations showed that in the case of the surface of biomass (biosorption), the elements constituted aggregations and in the case of the cross section (bioaccumulation) they were evenly distributed. The algal biomass with permanently bound microelements can find an application in many branches of the industry (feed, natural fertilizers, etc.)

INTERCULTURAL INTERACTIONS AT MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS’ WORKPLACE: GROUNDED THEORY

Purpose: Due to globalization and the global mobility of workforce, working in multicultural environments is a new challenge for employees and managers. The aim of the paper is to analyze the social interactions in multicultural environments of multinational corporations (MNCs) as well as to propose a model of intercultural social interactions in MNCs’ specific context.Design/methodology/approach: The grounded theory approach was applied to create a model of intercultural interactions in MNCs. The data was obtained during the qualitative research based on comparative case studies collected in 5 MNCs’ subsidiaries.Findings: The proposed model refers to the following concepts: 1) Lazarus’s transactional stress theory states that job demands may be assessed as hindrances or challenges. The specific job demands that affect intercultural interactions are multilingualism, cultural diversity, cross-cultural adjustment and team work. 2) Positive psychological capital and an individual’s acquired resources are in relation with intercultural interactions. 3) According to Bandura’s agentic perspective, individuals take an active role in shaping social interactions and work environment. 4) Being an agent relates to Spreitzer’s thriving concept that can serve as a mechanism of relations between the interactions undertaken due to MNCs’ specific job demands and their outcomes.Research limitations/implications: The qualitative methodology applied to the research does not allow for a broader generalization of the results. The outcomes of intercultural interactions depend mainly on how individuals assess their job demands in MNCs.Practical implications: Since the workplace in MNCs is abundant in learning opportunities, the managers of MNCs need to hire employees who exhibit needs for growth and development to boost thriving in their organizations. Additionally, these managers should search for employees with experience of multicultural settings and a signifi cant capacity of positive psychological capital, thanks to which they are likely to benefi t more from intercultural social interactions. More concern should be put on training the employees’ language skills since it may build their self-eff icacy in intercultural interactions.Originality/value: The proposed model focuses on social interactions in MNCs’ unique context. The empirical fi ndings were interpreted with regard to psychological and sociological theories and the Positive Organizational Scholarship lens

Zasoby osobiste a elastyczność w radzeniu sobie ze stresem u osób chorych kardiologicznie

The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between personal resources (hope for success and spiritual well-being) and flexibility in coping with stress in cardiac patients and to check whether personal resources and duration of the disease are predictors of flexibility in coping with stress in this group. The participants of the study were 120 cardiac patients (72 men and 48 women) aged 29–75. The study used the Questionnaire of Hope for Success (KNS), the Indicator of Spiritual Well-Being and the Questionnaire of flexibility in coping with stress (KERS-14). The results show that there is a statistically significant relationship between personal resources and flexibility in coping. Each of the personal resources (hope for success and spiritual well-being) positively correlates with each of the dimensions of flexible coping. The analysis showed that personal resources play a predictive role for flexibility in coping with stress.Celem niniejszego badania była analiza związku między zasobami osobistymi (nadzieją na sukces i dobrostanem duchowym) a elastycznością w radzeniu sobie ze stresem u pacjentów chorych kardiologicznie oraz sprawdzenie, czy zasoby osobiste i czas trwania choroby są predyktorami elastyczności w radzeniu sobie ze stresem w tej grupie. Uczestnikami badania było 120 pacjentów kardiologicznych (72 mężczyzn i 48 kobiet) w wieku 29–75 lat. W badaniu wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Nadziei na Sukces (KNS), Wskaźnik Duchowego Dobrostanu oraz Kwestionariusz elastyczności w radzeniu sobie ze stresem (KERS-14). Wyniki pokazują, że występuje istotny statystycznie związek między zasobami osobistymi a elastycznością w radzeniu sobie. Każdy z zasobów osobistych (nadzieja na sukces i dobrostan duchowy) pozytywnie koreluje z każdym wymiarem elastycznego radzenia sobie. Analiza wykazała, że zasoby osobiste odgrywają rolę predykcyjną dla elastyczności w radzeniu sobie ze stresem
