    The crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu2(C2H3O2)4(C10H14N2O)2], reveals a dinuclear CuII complex located about a center of inversion. The coordination environment of each CuII cation is distorted octa­hedral, composed of four bridging acetate ligands, an apical pyridine donor and is completed by a Cu—Cu bond. The amide H atom forms intra­molecular hydrogen bonds to two carboxyl O atoms. In the crystal, weak inter­molecular pyridine–amide C—H⋯O inter­actions are also present

    Pese al reconocimiento público y científico del papel que desempeñan las diferentes variables psicológicas en el rendimiento deportivo, existen pocos datos que permitan evidenciar cuál es la percepción que tienen los máximos responsables de la coordinación del trabajo y del entrenamiento deportivo, es decir, los entrenadores, sobre el rol que desempeña el psicólogo del deporte en un deporte tan extendido como es el fútbol. En el presente trabajo, se ha diseñado el Cuestionario de Evaluación de las Ideas Previas de los Entrenadores de Fútbol, aplicándolo a dos muestras de un total de 198 entrenadores de fútbol, durante las temporadas 2003 y 2011. La comparación de los resultados, permite evidenciar cierto patrón de estabilidad en los resultados, si bien se profundiza en las diferencias encontradas, así como en la importancia de superar las barreras manifestadas por los técnicosDespite the scientific and public recognition of the role of psychological variables in athletic performance, there is little evidence to show what is the coaches’ perception on the role played by sport psychologist in a widespread sport like football.     Una variable determinante en el rendimiento deportivo es la percepción de autoeficacia, de tal manera que los individuos con mayor percepción de autoeficacia son al mismo tiempo los que mejor afrontan las acciones motrices y los que buscan más retos deportivos. Al respecto, una pertinente línea de investigación es la creación de instrumentos que posibiliten la medida de la percepción de autoeficacia en deportes colectivos. Este trabajo presenta la Escala de autoeficacia de logro para porteros de waterpolo, siendo un instrumento original e inédito que permite evaluar la autoeficacia de logro de los porteros de waterpolo en la detención de lanzamientos. Su comunicación en la Revista Española de Educación Física y Deportes, tanto en idioma español como en lengua inglesa, permite su utilización en investigación y campeonatos internacionales. Esta es la primera escala a nivel internacional sobre autoeficacia en waterpolo.Perception of self-efficacy is a relevant variable in sport performance. In fact, sportsmen who have a good perception of self-efficacy are better in movement actions and sport challenges than ones with a misperception. In this regard, a pertinent line of research is the creation of instruments to measure of perception of self-efficacy in team sports. In this paper is presented the Scale of achievement self-efficacy for waterpolo goalkeepers. This questionnaire is an original instrument. Its publication in the Spanish Journal of Physical Education and Sports, both in Spanish and in English language, allows their use in research and international championships. This is the first instrument to measure self-efficacy in water polo

    Observation of isotropic-dipolar to isotropic-Heisenberg crossover in Co-and Ni-substituted manganites

    High-precision ac susceptibility data have been taken on the La0.7Pb0.3Mn1?y (Co, Ni)yO3 (y = 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) manganite system over a wide range of amplitudes and frequencies of the ac driving field in a temperature range that embraces the critical region near the ferromagnetic (FM)?paramagnetic (PM) phase transition (occurring at the Curie point TC). Elaborate data analysis was performed that (i) enabled the first observation of a crossover from a three-dimensional (3D; d = 3) isotropic long-range dipolar asymptotic critical behavior to a d = 3 isotropic short-range Heisenberg critical regime as the temperature is raised from TC in the compositions y 6= 0 (no such crossover is observed in the parent compound, y = 0) and (ii) brought out clearly the importance of dipole?dipole interactions between the eg electron spins and/or between eg?t2g electron spins in establishing long-range FM order in the insulating state. The final charge and spin states of Co and Ni ions, substituting for the Mn3+ and/or Mn4+ ions, are arrived at by using a scenario of substitution that is consistent not only with the present results but also with the previously published structural, thermo-gravimetric, bulk magnetization, dc magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity data on the same system. The marked similarity seen between the magnetic behavior of the manganite system in question and the quenched random-exchange ferromagnets, within and outside the critical region, suggests that the percolation model forms an adequate description of the FM metal-to-PM insulator transition

    Se presenta el desarrollo de una prueba objetiva basada en el uso de un dinamómetro manual para analizar la influencia que ejerce la presencia de otras personas significativas, como el entrenador o los compañeros, en jugadores de fútbol infantil, cadete y juvenil de la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid. Su aplicación permite superar las limitaciones presentadas por las pruebas de autoinforme tradicionales, analizando la validez convergente que tienen los resultados obtenidos con los encontrados en la escala de “Influencia de la evaluación del rendimiento” del cuestionario de características psicológicas relacionadas con el rendimiento deportivo factorizado CPRD-f (Olmedilla, García y Martínez, 2006). Los resultados obtenidos muestran la utilidad del empleo de una técnica objetiva como la planteada en el análisis de la influencia que tienen los otros en el rendimiento individualAn objective test, by using a hand dynamometer is presented in order to analyze the influence of significant people as the coach or the team mates in grip strength performance of young soccer players. Through this objective test was possible to overcome the methodological limitations presented by the traditional self-reported measures. The convergent validity between the dynamometer test results and the values obtained from the “Influence of performance evaluation scale” of the Psychological Characteristics related to Sport Performance factored Questionnaire CPRD-f (Olmedilla, García y Martínez, 2006) was also analyzed.     Crossover from superspin glass to superferromagnet in FexAg100-x nanostructured thin films ( 20 ≤ x ≤ 50 )

    FexAg100?x granular thin films, with 20 x 50, have been prepared by the dc-magnetron sputtering deposition technique. With this technique we have been able to obtain samples comprising small Fe nanoparticles 2.5?3 nm embedded in a Ag matrix, remaining their size practically constant with increasing Fe content. Their magnetic behavior has been fully characterized by dc magnetic measurements between 5?350 K. They have revealed a crossover in the collective magnetic behavior of the Fe nanoparticles around a 35 at. %. Below such a concentration, a collective freezing of the magnetic moments is observed at low temperatures, while at high temperatures a transition, mainly mediated by dipolar interactions, to a magnetically disordered state is obtained. Above this concentration, direct exchange interactions overcome the dipolar magnetic interactions and a long-range order tends to prevail in the range of temperatures analyzed. ac magnetic measurements have indicated a crossover from a superspin glass x35 to a superferromagnetic x35 behavior for the magnetic moments of the Fe nanoparticles.This work was supported by the CICYT of Spain under Contracts No. MAT2008-06542-C04-02 and No. MAT2008- 06542-C04-04.     Thermoremanence anomaly in Fe-Zr(B,Cu) Invar metallic glasses: Volume expansion induced ferromagnetism

    We report the existence of a thermally induced sharp increase of thermoremanence around the Curie temperature of Invar-like Fe-Zr(B,Cu) soft magnetic glasses. Neutron-diffraction measurements indicate that a true enhancement of the average local magnetic moment, rather than only a change in the domain structure, occurs. Such enhancement has been tentatively attributed to the increasing volume expansion that takes place beyond the Curie temperature and reinforces ferromagnetism in some low-density clusters

    Se ha realizado un estudio cuasi-experimental con grupo de control equivalente, para analizar la validez del juego “Flash Focus. Vision training in minutes a day”, de Nintendo, sobre la posible mejora de la coordinación óculo manual, la anticipación de tiempo y movimiento y la atención selectiva. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 29 estudiantes de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, divididos en un grupo experimental de 21.37 años de edad (SD= 5.07), y otro control de 22.37 años (SD= 3.49), que realizaron un total de 15 sesiones de entrenamiento con el juego. Sólo uno de los resultados de los contrastes realizados, el referido a la atención sostenida, muestra diferencias significativas en el grupo de entrenamiento (p=0.01); mientras que el resto de variables atencionales estudiadas muestran resultados no significativos en las comparaciones pre y post. Este resultado justifica el interés por seguir investigando en esta línea y está en concordancia con los encontrados en el empleo de esta misma consola con aplicaciones diferentesThe aim of the current study consists of checking wether the training with Nintendo’s videogame “Flash Focus. Vision training in minutes a day” improves hand-eye coordination, time anticipation and movement and selective attention. For this purpose, a quasi-experimental pre-post design research with equivalent control group was carried out. The sample was made up of 29 university students from the degree of Sport Sciences. Results show that just only one of the dependent variables, selective attention, presented significant differences between the group which received the training and the control group. Further research with larger samples should be carried out in order to test the principles result of this paper and it is in agreement with the found ones in the use of this same console with different application

    ABSTRACT: The growing number of studies establishing links between stream biota, environmental factors and river classification has contributed to a better understanding of fluvial ecosystem function. Environmental factors influencing river systems are distributed over hierarchically organised spatial scales. We used a nested hierarchical sampling design across four catchments to assess how benthic macroinvertebrate community composition and lower spatial scale habitat descriptors were shaped by landscape and land-use patterns. We found that benthic macroinvertebrate community structure and composition varied significantly from catchment to habitat level. We assessed and identified fractal metrics of landscape descriptors capable of explaining compositional and functional change in the benthic faunal indicators and compared them with the traditional variables describing land use and reach level habitat descriptors within a 1 km radius of each sampling site. We found that fractal landscape metrics were the best predictor variables for benthic macroinvertebrate community composition, function, instream habitat and river corridor characteristics

La organización de los factores ambientales fluviales es entendida, en la actualidad, como una jerarquía de factores con varias escalas espaciales. Para evaluar cómo la composición de los macroinvertebrados bentónicos y las características del hábitat a escala local son afectadas por el uso del paisaje y del suelo, se siguió un diseño de muestreo jerárquico en cuatro cuencas. Hemos verificado que la estructura y composición de las comunidades de macroinvertebrados bentónicos varió significativamente desde la escala de cuenca hasta la del hábitat. Fueron evaluadas e identificadas métricas fractales del paisaje que podrían explicar los cambios en la composición y funcionalidad de la fauna bentónica y se ha comparado también con la influencia de las tradicionales variables de usos del suelo y descriptores del hábitat al nivel del tramo, en un círculo de 1 km de radio alrededor de cada tramo. Encontramos que las métricas fractales del paisaje fueron las mejores variables predictoras de la composición y funcionalidad de las comunidades de macroinvertebrados y de las características del hábitat en el cauce y del corredor fluvial
