Röviden: a DRMH IV kötetéhez (Jagellókori törvények) szükséges kutatást (latin szöveg, fordítás, jegyzetelés) befejeztük. A kézirat, bevezetö tanulmánnyal, névmutatókkal, stb. 2009 öszére elkészül és 2010 elején nyomdába mehet. A VI Kötet egy általános glosszárium és index lett volna. Eheleyett egy az I-V kötetre vonatkozó glosszárium a IV kötethez csatolva fog megjelenni. Hagyományos index (index rerum et verborum) elkészítésétöl eltekintetünk, mert munkában van egy a teljes ötkötetes sorozatot tartalmazandó digitális kiadás, amelyben majd minden szóra stb. keresni lehet. | In brief: research for vol. 4 of DRMH (decreta of the Jagiellonian age) has been completed as planned: Latin original edited, translation, annotations written. Final copy, including introductory study, indices etc. will be ready by Fall '09 and the volume will go to press in early 2010. Vol. 6 was planned to be a general glossary and indices. We decided to publish a general glossary for vols. 1-5 attached to vol. 4, while we forego the publication of a traditional index (of word, subjects etc.), considering that a digital edition of the five volumes is inpreparation. That will allow free browsing for any word or concept

Political Uses of Historical Comparisons: Medieval and Modern Hungary

János Bak offers a sketch of the politically charged deployment in Hungary of medieval and later myths of national historical origin beginning with the anonymous Gesta Hungarorum of c.1200, which traces the Magyars back to Scythia and which was printed and then translated into Hungarian in the eighteenth century during a period of Romantic nationalism. Bak further discusses the late thirteenth-century Gesta of Simon of Kéza, which links the Hungarians to the Huns, as well as the Cronica de introductione Scytarum in Ungariam et Judaeorum de Aegypto, the rhymed Latin chronicle of the sixteenth-century Calvinist minister András Farkas, which draws parallels between Hungary and the Israelites. Bak concludes by turning to the debates among twentieth-century historians concerning the effects of the recent use of such myths for political propaganda

An Introduction to Editing Manuscripts for Medievalists

A practical guide on the editing of medieval--mainly Latin--manuscripts for editors and users of MSS. It discusses basic issues of textual and manuscript transmission and contains guidelines for the description and textual analysis of manuscripts, the emendation and editing of texts, and a chapter on questions of translation and bi-lingual editions. A középkori Magyar Királyság törvényei IV. és VI. kötet = Decreta Regni Medievalis Hungariae, volumes IV and VI

A nemzetközi kooperáció keretében két igen sikeres, kétnapos munkaértekezletetet (workshop) tartottunk, egyet Érden és egyet Londonban. (Program és résztvevök “Beszámoló” alatt.) Mindkét alkalommal a már megszokott – a DRMH V készitése során kialakult – igen hasznos kritikus közös munkát végeztünk a törvények szövegein és az azokkal kapcsolatban felmerült problémákról. Nagy örörmünkre szolgált, hogy nem csak mi tanultunk sokat az angol, amerikai és szomszéd-országokbeli kollégáktól, de ők is érdeklődéssel fordultak a magyarországi fejlődés felé. Tudjuk, hogy ma már a DRMH kötetei rendszeresen szerepelnek a londoni és cambridge-i jogtörténeti oktatás olvasmányai között. Mind az összzehasonlító megközelítés, mind a szakkifejezések pontos fordítása és kommentálása (pl. a glosszáriumban) nagyban emelte a tervezett kötet színvonalát. | In the frame of the international cooperation, we held two very successful two-day workshops, one in Érd, Hungary and one in London. (Program and participants listed under “Beszámoló”) At both occasion we did the usual common reading and discussion, as established during our joint work on DRMH V in the previous years. We were pleased to note that not only we learned from our colleagues from abroad but they, too, found the Hungarian development interesting and relevant. The volumes of the DRMH now feature regularly in the history of law curriculum of UCL and Cambridge. The comparative approach and the clarification of the meaning of technical terms (including those in the Generl Glossary) helped much to improve the quality of the planned volume DRMH 4

Az állattartás automatizált információs eszközrendszere (Precíziós állattartás) = Appliances of automatic information system of animal husbandry keeping (Precision animal husbandry)

A téma kidolgozása során a tematikánk fő fejezeteknek megfelelően a vállalt feladatokat teljesítettük. Az RF azonosítókhoz csatlakozóa aktivitásmérő szenzort készítettünk és kipróbáltuk, amely többféle rendellenes viselkedésből fakadó tartási jellemző jelzésére alkalmas. Vizsgáltuk további az RF azonosítókhoz csatlakoztatható érzékelők beépítésének lehetőségét is, például BOLUS transzpandernél. Az RF azonosítóktól különválasztott, de szoftveresen összekapcsolt rendszerek kiválóan alkalmazhatók a rendellenes viselkedések felderítésére, pl. lábsérülések korai felismerésére, mielőtt a gyulladások kialakulnának (szubklinikai sántaság meghtározása). A nagyüzemi telepeken alkalmazott RF azonosítók elsősorban a termeléssel kapcsolatos összefüggések feltárását segítik, leginkább a tejtermelés folyamatos ellenőrzését, illetve a takarmányozás helyességét. | During the elaboration of the project, in accordance with the main chapters of the thematic construction, the engaged tasks were performed. There was an activity measuring sensor connected to the RF identifiers was made and tested. This sensor is capable of indicating abnormal behaviours of different kinds originated from the animal keeping conditions. The building-in possibilities of other sensors connectible to RF identifiers also were investigated; e.g. with the transponder BOLUS. The systems separated from the RF identifiers but interconnected by software can be used excellently for catching abnormal behaviours; e.g. for early identification of foot or leg trauma before inflammations would begin (identification of a sub-clinic limping). The RF identifiers used on large-scale farms help mainly the exploration of the relationships in connection with the production; first of all the continuous control of the milk yield and the adequacy of the feeding

Slow relaxation due to optimization and restructuring: Solution on a hierarchical lattice

Motivated by the large strain shear of loose granular materials we introduced a model which consists of consecutive optimization and restructuring steps leading to a self organization of a density field. The extensive connections to other models of statistical phyics are discussed. We investigate our model on a hierarchical lattice which allows an exact asymptotic renormalization treatment. A surprisingly close analogy is observed between the simulation results on the regular and the hierarchical lattices. The dynamics is characterized by the breakdown of ergodicity, by unusual system size effects in the development of the average density as well as by the age distribution, the latter showing multifractal properties.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures revtex, submitted to PRE see also: cond-mat/020920
