Bianchi type-II cosmological model: some remarks

Within the framework of Bianchi type-II (BII) cosmological model the behavior of matter distribution has been considered. It is shown that the non-zero off-diagonal component of Einstein tensor implies some severe restriction on the choice of matter distribution. In particular for a locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type-II (LRS BII) space-time it is proved that the matter distribution should be strictly isotropic if the corresponding matter field possesses only non-zero diagonal components of the energy-momentum tensor.Comment: 3 page

Background: Osteoarthritis of knee is the most common form of arthritis globally, approximately 250 million people are suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee alone throughout the world. It is a chronic joint disease leading to cause cartilage degradation that involves synovial Inflammation, Subchondral bone remodelling, and Formation of osteophyte pathologically, which leads to cause pain, joint destruction and difficulty in walking. Aim of the current study was to compare the safety and efficacy of oxaceprol 200 mg versus diclofenac 50 mg in patients with moderate osteoarthritis and to determine cost-effectiveness between these two drugsMethods: this is a randomized controlled study, in our study total of 94 patients were screened, of which 85 patients met inclusion & exclusion criteria. In this, 78 members gave written informed consent, they were randomly assigned by double-blind fashion into two treatment groups (oxaceprol and diclofenac). Results were analyzed by applying paired and unpaired student t-test by using SPSS softwareResults: In our study, both oxaceprol and diclofenac were extremely significant in reducing joint pain and joint stiffness and improving physical activity, but when comparing with one another oxaceprol group showed better results in improving physical activityConclusions: From our study, it is concluded that oxaceprol is equally efficacious as diclofenac in reducing knee pain, joint stiffness but more efficacious than diclofenac in improving physical activity of patients by enhancing bone remodelling

A summary is presented of the spectroscopic study of three systems: LaF3:Ho(3+), LaF3:Er(3+) and CaF2:Nd(3+). When the D levels of Ho(3+) in LaF3 were resonantly excited with a laser beam of 640 nm, upconverted emissions were detected from J (416 nm), F (485 nm), and E (546 nm) levels. Energy upconverted emissions were also observed from F and E levels of Ho(3+) when the material was excited with an 800 nm near infrared laser. When the D levels of Er(3+) in LaF3 were resonantly excited with a laser beam of 637 nm, upconverted emissions were detected from the E (540 nm) and P (320, 400, and 468 nm) levels. Energy upconverted emissions were also observed from F, E, and D levels of Er(3+) when the material was resonantly excited with an 804 nm near infrared laser. When the D levels of Nd(3+) in CaF2 were resonantly excited with a laser beam of 577 nm, upconverted emissions were detected from the L (360 and 382 nm), K (418 nm), and I (432 nm) levels. Very weak upconverted emissions were detected when this system was irradiated with a near infrared laser. The numbers in parentheses are the wavelengths of the emissions

Objective: The present work aimed to develop a novel, reliable and accurate Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry/Mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the simultaneous quantification of Decitabine and Cedazuridine a combined medication used for the treatment of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia in human plasma. Methods: Talazoparib drug is used as an internal standard in the study. Both the analytes and internal standard were isolated from 100 ml plasma samples by liquid-liquid extraction and then chromatographed on Zorbax SB-CN (4.6 mm×75 mm, 3.5 µm) column with a mobile phase consisting of 0.1 % ammonium formate and methanol in the ratio of 65:45 (v/v) pumped at 0.5 ml/min. The method had a chromatographic total run time of 5 min. Results: The developed method gave a symmetric peak at a retention time of 1.7 min for Decitabine, 2.2 min for Cedazuridine, 3.5 min for Talazoparib and satisfied all the peak properties as per USP guidelines. The mass spectral characterization of separated analytes in the LC method was performed using a mass detector operated at Multiple Reaction Monitoring mode with precursor-to-product ion transitions at m/z of 229 to m/z of 114 as MH+ion for Decitabine, m/z of 269 to m/z of 118 as MH+ion for Cedazuridine. A very sensitive limit of detection of 0.3 ng/ml was observed and showed a calibration curve linear over the concentration range of LLOQ (lower limit of quantification) to 500 ng/ml. The other validation parameters were found to have acceptable accuracy, precision, linearity, and selectivity. The mean extraction concentration was acceptable and very high for both the analytes in HQC (high-quality control concentration), MQC (medium quality control concentration) and LLOQ levels. The peak area response ratio of Decitabine and Cedazuridine with the internal standard in freeze-thaw, short term and long term stability studies was found to be acceptable confirms that the method is stable. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the proposed method is specific, accurate, and precise and could be used for the simultaneous estimation of Decitabine and Cedazuridine in human plasma

The main objective of this study was to formulate mesalamine loaded alginate microspheres for local treatment of ulcerative colitis and optimized batch were then filled in capsules coated with Eudragit S 100. The microspheres were prepared by ionic gelation method. Box Behnken design using design expert software was employed in formulating and optimizing the microspheres. Microspheres were evaluated for particle size, shape and entrapment efficiency. The optimized batch was then filled in capsule coated with Eudragit S100.This encapsulated system released alginate microspheres at colon region in a sustained manner. The drug release of microspheres showed a longer residence time in the colon due to better mucoadhesion properties of sodium ALG. Therefore mesalamine-loaded alginate microspheres enteric coated in capsules can be potential delivery system for local treatment of ulcerative coliti

Use of Petroleum Coke as an Additive in Metallurgical Coke Making

    Get PDF
The use of petroleum coke as an additive in coal blends has been tested and established successfully to produce metallurgical coke of acceptable quality at JSW. The performance of coke produced from coking coal blends containing petroleum coke was successfully tested in Blast furnaces. The amount of petroleum coke that may be incorporated in the blend without impairing the coke quality considerably depends mainly on the particle size and the rheological properties of the coal blend. The addition of petroleum coke produces a decrease in Maximum Fluidity (MF) in the blend due to the liberation of low molecular weight substances during heating within the plastic range and hydrogen containing species available to generate fluidity in co carbonization system. The use of low volatile petroleum coke as an additive resulted in better yield and reduction of coke ash.The ability of petroleum coke to interact with coal during plastic stage to impart good bonding between components and maintain the coke quality to match the Blast Furnace requirements is well established through laboratory studie
