Appropriate counseling and education can be adopted to achieve a change in attitude, knowledge and perception. Still there is a wrong perception of a given intervention. Peer support through a process of social learning, the process of growing understanding of how to process information from experience, observational include: attention (attention), given (retention), reproduction of motion (reproduction), motivation (motivation), and communication. The purpose of this study was to analyze resident self-efficacy to regardless of drug addiction through family support. This study employed qualitative approach with case study design. Subjects in this study were residents, ex drugs user, peer support, and resident family. The results showed that peer support from fellow residents and the support of the major on duty (MOD) very meaningful and helpful for resident in the healing process

Synthesis, characterization and curing studies of thermosetting epoxy resin with amines

A new hybrid thermosetting maleimido epoxy compound 4-(N-maleimidophenyl) glycidylether (N-MPGE) is prepared by reacting N-(4-hydroxyphenyl) maleimide (HPM) with Epichlorohydrin by using benzyltrimethylammonium chloride as a catalyst. The resulting compound possesses both the oxirane ring and maleimide group. The curing reaction of these maleimidophenyl glycidylether epoxy compound (N-MPGE) with amines as curing agents such as ethylendiamine (EDA), diethylentriamine (DETA) and triethylenetetramine (TETA), aminoethylpiperazine (AEP) and isophoronediamine, IPDA), are studied. Incorporation of maleimide groups in the epichlorohydrin provides cyclic imide structure and high cross-linking density to the cured resins. The cured samples exhibited good thermal stability, excellent chemical (acid/alkali/solvent) and water absorption resistance. Morphological studies by the SEM technique further confirmed the phase homogeneity net work of the cured systems

Use of information technology is essential for the company, because it can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the company\u27s performance. But the application of information technology is not always successful. One of the critical success factors of the application of information technology is the attitude of the users who use the technology. UTAUT also used by some researchers to look at the intentions and behavior of users of information technology in several areas of the company. Therefore, this study was developed by adopting the model to see the intentions of the user UTAUT Zabbix Application in PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk. Four constructs of UTAUT used as determinants that influence the behavioral intentions (behavioral intentions user), namely performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions. Data in the study were tested by means of SEM (Structural Equation Model). SEM is a statistical analysis tool used to complete multilevel research model simultaneously. SEM can be used to solve equations with variables that make up a path. Data obtained through 50 questionnaires distributed to PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk and in particular the IT Infrastructure Division. The analysis showed that behavioral intentions are significantly influenced by the user, effort expectancy and facilitating conditions, while the performance expectancy and social factors influence found no significant effect

An Approximate Analytical Solution of the Burger's Equation for Longitudinal Dispersion Phenomenon Arising in Fluid Flow through Porous Medium

    Get PDF
The present paper discusses the longitudinal dispersion phenomenon in miscible fluid flow through porous medium. The mathematical formulation yields a nonlinear partial differential equation in the form of Burger's equation. An approximate analytical solution of the Burger's equation for longitudinal dispersion phenomenon has been obtained. Homotopy analysis method is adopted to solve this equation with suitable boundary conditions. The numerical interpretation of solution has been obtained at distancex for a given timet. The graphical interpretation of solution has been also given by Mathematica software

Influence of Moisture Content and Oxygen Concentration on Biodegradation of Petroleum Hydrocarbons

The biodegradability of petroleum hydrocarbons was evaluated using petroleum oily sludge from VRL logistics ltd situated at Kengeri, Bangalore (India). The soil rich in native microorganisms was collected from Bangalore University campus and the same is used to prepare simulated contaminated soil. The initial Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) concentration in the simulated contaminated soil was 83,940 mg /kg of soil. Biodegradation was examined for three different conditions i.e. four bioreactors for studying variation of moisture, four bioreactors for studying variation of oxygen and one bioreactor as control Treatability studies on TPH contaminated soil was conducted for 12 weeks to evaluate TPH mass loss rates under the most favorable conditions, for which a set of nine bioreactors each with 15 kg of fresh soil, 3 kgs of oily sludge, 1.5 kgs of inoculated soil in the ratio of (10:2:1) were thoroughly mixed and maintained under laboratory conditions. The TPH, moisture content, pH, bacterial counts and oxygen were monitored regularly along with the nutrient concentration i.e.. C: N: P ratio maintained at 100:10:1 in all the bioreactors except the control reactor. From the study it is concluded that the optimal conditions for better degradation of TPH is found to be between 50% - 60% of moisture content with biodegradation rate of 0.0128 - 0.0174 day1 and TPH removal efficiency of 68.5 - 79.2% and oxygen concentration of 50 - 60 mg/kg/day, with biodegradation rate of 0.012

Field theoretic calculation of scalar turbulence

The cascade rate of passive scalar and Bachelor's constant in scalar turbulence are calculated using the flux formula. This calculation is done to first order in perturbation series. Batchelor's constant in three dimension is found to be approximately 1.25. In higher dimension, the constant increases as d1/3d^{1/3}.Comment: RevTex4, publ. in Int. J. Mod. Phy. B, v.15, p.3419, 200
