Therefore, the implementation of the traditional tanduk majeng song as media in improving English skills at PAUD. Badruz Zaman is expected to make it easy for children to learn English and make learning English fun with interesting method. This activity is carried out for Pre-Primary School so that they have English language skills in vocabulary, language structure, listening and reading. In addition, this activity is also expected to create children who will be ready to compete in the world of education with English language skills

    Synthesis and characterization of palm based polyurethane composite with river sand as a filler / Farid Abdul Aziz

    The use of river sand as a filler in synthesizing polyurethane (PU) have potential benefit to synthesize PU composite. This study carried out to determine the potential of river sand and palm oil in preparation of rigid PU composite. The river sand was first sieve to reach the micro size. Then the palm oil used, which is palm kernel oil was then mixed with polyhydric compound to synthesize polyol via transesterification reaction. The PKObased polyol was then mixed with other chemicals at different ratio to form PU control rigid foam. Then different composition of river sand was used, which is 5%, I 0%, and 15% was used to synthesize PU rigid foam with different composition. The formation of urethane linkage (NHCOO) backbone in PU foam was confirmed using FTIR at wavenumber 3 313 cm- 1. The morphological structure of the surface was analyzed using scanning electron microscope at 20 x, 50 x, 150 x and 500 x magnification . The compression test of polyurethane with 15% filler have average compressive load of 8.344 kPa which is higher than other composition which is 6.662 kPa for 5% filler and 7 .6630 kPa for I 0% filler. This study shows that adding filler to PU increases its structure and strength of the composite. TGA analysis at T 10 values for PU control and PU river sand were almost identical. However, the T50 values of the hybrids increased to 457.34 °

    PENGARUH APLIKASI TANAMAN BARRIER TERHADAP DINAMIKA POPULASI ARTHROPODA TANAH PADA PERTANAMAN PADI GOGO (Oryza sativa L.)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui jenis arthropoda tanah yang ditemukan pada pertanaman padi Gogo (Oryza sativa L.) dengan variasi berbagai macam jenis tanaman barrier. (2) mengetahui dinamika populasi arthropoda tanah pada pertanaman padi Gogo (Oryza sativa L.) dengan variasi berbagai jenis tanaman barrier. (3) mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi tanaman barrier yang paling berpengaruh terhadap dinamika populasi arthropoda tanah. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen rancangan acak lengkap dengan mengamati dinamika populasi arthropoda tanah pada pertanaman padi. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan metode pitfall trap. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh arthropoda tanah yang berada di kawasan penanaman padi, sedangkan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah arthropoda tanah yang terperangkap pada pitfall trap. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 18 minggu dengan pengambilan data sebanyak 6 kali. Data yang diambil meliputi: data klimatik edafik pada setiap pengamatan dan seluruh jenis arthropoda tanah pada pertanaman padi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang meliputi indeks keanekaragaman, indeks kemerataan, indeks dominansi, indeks kekayaan, dan secara statistik dengan uji One Way Anova pada taraf α = 5%.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa didapatkan 15 famili arthropoda tanah. Dinamika populasi arthropoda tanah pada pertanaman padi mengalami perubahan dari waktu ke waktu. Tanaman barrier sebagai perlakuan ini tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap dinamika populasi arthropoda tanah pada pertanaman padi.     Food aid has played a useful role in Government of Bangladesh efforts to increase food security in the last three decades, adding to foodgrain availability, supplying wheat for targeted distribution to poor households, and helping to finance development projects and programs. However, sustained increases in domestic production of both rice and wheat have increased the likelihood of disincentive effects arising from continued large inflows of food aid. The analysis shows that if good rice harvests continue so that real rice prices remain at their levels of 2000, and if international wheat prices return to their average 1995-99 levels, then public wheat distribution may need to be cut to levels below the current amount of food aid received (650 thousand tons in 2000/2001) to avoid reducing domestic prices below import parity. However, resources will continue to be required for programs that increase access to food by the poor, contribute to increased utilization of food and result in improved nutritional outcomes, even if the need for food aid to increase availability of foodgrains diminishes.Food relief Bangladesh. ,Food security. ,Development projects. ,Rice Prices Bangladesh. ,Wheat Prices. ,

    Numerical simulation analysis on water jet pressure distribution at various nozzle aperture

    The low velocity water jet is required by small scale Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) to control its position, either to remain statics in its position or to perform a slow and steady locomotion. However, the water jet performance is influenced by the size of nozzle aperture. By studying the pressure distribution around the nozzle area, the water jet velocity could be determined and characterized. In this studies, the ejection pressure was fixed at 23.37 Pa according to the constant actuation. Studies were conducted using ANSYS Fluent software. The results show that the water jet velocity and dynamic pressure are higher for larger nozzle aperture size at constant pressure. The total pressure and dynamic pressure had the lowest pressure drop at certain nozzle aperture size but became constant when the nozzle size was wider. This finding is useful in designing the UUV that powered by contractile water jet thruster

    The transition process of educational technology brings a new color to the world of education, indicating that the educational challenge is to continue to optimize the management of parent-teacher relations in the formation of student character, aiming to minimize changes in the character of students due to the educational transition process that occurs. The purpose of this study is to discuss the substance that exists in the relationship between parents and teachers at SD Muhammdiyah Nitikan, in an effort to form student character in the era of educational technology transition. This research approach uses descriptive qualitative analysis method in the form of library research. Sources of research are taken from trusted journals and literature related to the relationship between parents and teachers of Islamic religious education in the formation of student character in the era of educational technology transition, both manually and digitally. Collecting data from a natural setting and utilizing the personality of the researcher became the core instrument. This research discusses or explores problems in an orderly and easy-to-understand manner. Data analysis was carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data is then collected and put together into a whole new concept. The results of this study are the management of parent-teacher relationships in the formation of student character in the era of educational technology transition, which can be carried out in stages including, (exploring the concept of learning and teaching according to Islam, applying approaches and methods in Islamic education, understanding the situation of character education in the era of Islamic education). educational technology transition and optimizing the education of parents and teachers). In the optimization process, it is necessary to integrate good parent-teacher relationship management and the integration of educational technology, so that it can produce innovative education in response to the educational transition process that occurs and adapts to the needs of students.     Investigation into the selection of an appropriate piston head geometry for a spark ignition engine equipped direct-fuel injector

    Constructors of gasoline engines are faced with higher and higher requirements as regards to ecological issues and an increase in engine efficiency at a simultaneous decrease in fuel consumption. Satisfaction of these requirements is possible by the recognition of the phenomena occurring inside the engine cylinder, the choice of suitable optimal parameters of the fuel injection process, and the determination of the geometrical shapes of the combustion chamber and the piston head. The aim of the study was to simulate flow in Direct-Injection Fuel engine with different geometrical shapes of piston head. The method of design piston head shapes was referring to existing motorcycle Demak single cylinder 200cc piston size using Solidwork and ANSYS softwarse. The parameter was shallow and deep bowl design on piston head. In term of fuel distribution throughout the combustion chamber, second model that having deeper bowl shows a better fuel distribution than first model as it manages to direct flow the fuel injected towards the location of spark plug. Therefore, second model is chosen as the best model among the two models as it can create a richer mixture around the spark plug

    Single-cylinder 125 CC stepped piston engine for mobility and portable power generation applications

    Two-stroke engines is far simpler than four-stroke version from its physical perspective. For a given brake output, two-stroke is lighter, easier to work on, and provide higher power-to-weight ratio than the four-stroke, making it suitable for small platform applications. However a conventional two-stroke engine has a reputation for generating smoke and unburned fuel, a situation which does not meet many emissions regulations, now enforced around the world. Thus for many decades two-stroke engines were not favored, giving ways to four-stroke engines to dominate applications, especially for mobile power-generation purposes. In the quest to improve the potential of such an engine, a group of researchers from the Automotive Development Centre (ADC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has come up with a 125 cc, air-cooled stepped-piston engine to demonstrate the higher power-to-weight ratio feature, apart from overcoming emission reduction. The engine is designed to mitigate the problem of mixture short circuiting, which is the major hindrance to combustion efficiency, and for this to happen they have incorporated a three-port stratification strategy onto the engine. This paper provides the overview related to the earlier work done to infuse the necessary features and highlights some of the performance features of this unique engine design

    The Effect of the Late Global Financial Crisis on the Jordanian Insurance Companies Profits (Case of Jordan)

    This study aims to shed light on the effects left by the global financial crisis in the Jordanian insurance sector and the efficiency change of Jordan’s insurance companies after the global financial crisis. researchers have used the correlation coefficient test, t-tests ,and Simple regression in the statistical analysis. The study results found no significant  impact of the global financial crisis on the net income on the Jordanian insurance companies while there was a significant impact of the global financial crisis on company assets and equities as compared to their value prior to the financial crisis.  The study recommended the need to develop and initiate laws and regulations that will reduce the sudden effects which occur in the private insurance sector and the local and global economy
