    Borneo Island has a large number of wild banana species. As a part of Borneo Island, West Kalimantan has limited information about the diversity of wild bananas. This research aims to update the record distribution of wild bananas from Bonti District of Sanggau Regency and to determine their morphological characteristics. Exploration method and resident information were used in this study. Two species of wild bananas have been identified and considered as new distribution records in West Kalimantan Province, namely-Musa borneensis var. sarawakensis with morphological character pseudostem red-purple colour, sparse black-purple blotches at petiole base, leaf base shape rounded on both sides, male bud red-purple colour and Musa campestris var. sarawakensis with morphological character pseudostem yellow-green colour, inflorescence erect, leaf base one side rounded and one-pointed, the dorsally pink-purple and ventrally pink-purple colour of bract

    Profil of Concept Understanding Of Cross-Interest Class Students on Fungi Materials at SMA N 1 Sungai Raya During the Covid-19 Pandemic

    Background: Education is very important in advancing a nation. Understanding is obtained when learning activities take place. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic condition, the government issued an online system learning policy, this will affect students' understanding of concepts, especially in biology subjects. Based on the results of a pre-research questionnaire given to biology teachers at SMA N 1 Sungai Raya, the completeness of cross-interest class students in Fungi material was less than 70% in the year before the covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to describe the understanding of the concept of cross-interest class students on Fungi material at SMA N 1 Sungai Raya during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were students of class X cross-interest at SMA N 1 Sungai Raya. The method used is to provide a two tier test instrument through the google form application. Results: The results showed that 41% of students understood the concept, 24% of students who had misconceptions, 15% of students who guessed, and 20% of students who did not understand the concept.     Pengembangan Penuntun Praktikum Fotosintesis Berbasis Audio Visual Menggunakan Program Camtacia Studio di SMAN 1 Hulu Gurung

    Pembuktian oksigen sebagai hasil reaksi terang fotosintesis dapat diamati melalui metode praktikum di laboraturium. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran biologi dan siswa kelas XII IPA SMAN 1 Hulu Gurung diketahui bahwa guru menggunakan penuntun praktikum yang terdapat di dalam buku paket. Penuntun praktikum ini hanya menampilkan sedikit gambar pada cara kerja sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami cara kerja dan menggunakan alat praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audio visual yang lanyak digunakan berdasarkan aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Pengembangan penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audiovisual ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan model 4-D, yaitu tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran, tetapi tahap penyebaran tidak dilakukan. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan kevalidan pada aspek bahasa sebesar 83,33% (sangat valid), aspek materi sebesar 84,03% (sangat valid) dan aspek kegrafikan sebesar 84,72% (sangat valid). Berdasarkan uji coba skala kecil dan skala besar, kepraktisan penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audio visual bernilai posistif. Keefektifan media pembelajaran diperoleh berdasarkan nilai postest. Ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 77,77% yang menunjukkan bahwa penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audiovisual dinyatakan efektif. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penuntun praktikum fotosintesis berbasis audio visual yang telah dikembangkan dapat dikatakan valid, praktis dan efektif.

    Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 08 Pontianak telah menerapkan prinsip-prinsip kecakapan hidup dalam proses pembelajaran biologi, namun dalam penerapannya belum mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal. Diperlukan suatu metode agar kecakapan hidup dapat dikembangkan, salah satunya melalui model problem based learning. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan kecakapan hidup general siswa pada pembelajaran sistem gerak di kelas XI dengan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dan jenis pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket, dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecakapan hidup general di kelas XI Lina (Lintas Minat) terkategori Baik dengan rata-rata sebesar 70%. Kecakapan hidup general yang muncul saat pembelajaran PBL adalah Kecakapan spiritual berupa penghayatan diri sebagai makhluk tuhan sebesar 82%, kecakapan potensi berupa menyadari kelebihan yang dimiliki dan percaya diri sebesar 68%, kecakapan berfikir yaitu menggali informasi, menemukan, mengelola, dan mengambil keputusan sebesar 69%, kecakapan komunikasi berupa mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca dan menulis sebesar 69%, kecakapan bekerjasama berupa tanggung jawab sebesar 73%. Dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa kecakapan hidup general siswa setelah diajarkan dengan menggunakan PBL yaitu siswa merasa bersyukur atas nikmat yang telah diberikan, siswa menyadari kelebihan dan kekurangan fisik yang dimiliki, kemudian siswa berfikir untuk menyelesaikan kasus permasalahan yang diberikan, berkomunikasi dan bekerjasama ketika berinteraksi antar sesama dalam satu kelompok

    Developing flash media of Quranic-based human reproduction system material

    The problem of implementing Islamic values in the learning process is one of the concerns in Islamic-based schools, in particular, Rahmatan Lilā€™alamin Islamic Senior High School in Pontianak. This study aimed to develop learning media based on the Quran verses in the human reproductive system using Macromedia flash software. This research and development used three phases of the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan, namely define, design, and development. The development results were validated by expert appraisal consisted of instructional review (appropriateness, effectiveness, feasibility) and technical review (media and language). Instruments used in this study were interview guide sheet (define phase), validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and post-test for product trial (development phase). Product trials were carried out by testing large groups consisted of 64 students majoring in social science at Rahmatan Lilā€™alamin Islamic Senior High School. The expert appraisal results showed that media reached ā€œvery validā€ criteria with the validation scores 83.33 (instructional review), 80.42 (media), Ā and 85.00 (language). Therefore, the flash media of Quranic-based human reproductive system material is potential to be used as media in teaching Islamic values integrated within the learning process

    Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan kurikulum Cambridge pada pelajaran sains. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengambil data yaitu dengan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian bahwa diawal pembelajaran sekolahan melakukan sosialisasi kepada guru terkait dengan penerapan kurikulum cambridge yang bertujuan supaya guru lebih siap dalam menyiapkan semua perangkat yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk perencanaan pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru science sudah baik dimana guru sudah menyiapkan frame work (silabus) dan lesson plan (RPP) serta sekolahan sudah menyiapkan sumber belajar yang diperlukan selama pembelajaran. Untuk pelaksaan pembelajaran guru menggunakan pendekatan pemecahan masalah dengan menitik beratkan pada aktivitas dan keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Untuk evaluasi pembelajaran yang dilakukan yaitu ulangan harian, ujian tengah semester, ujian akhir semester dan evaluasi check progression test (CPT) dan checkpoint yang diadakan untuk kelas 6 untuk mengukur dan memetakan kompetensi peserta didik khusus dari Cambridge.     Based on the results of interviews with science teachers at SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur, that in class VIII students experience learning difficulties indicated by the existence of certain obstacles to achieving learning outcomes. The purpose of the study was to find out how the students' learning difficulties in science subjects in class VIII SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary data sources were obtained from students in grades VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C of SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur. Meanwhile, secondary data sources were obtained from science teachers in class VIII and students in grades VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C of SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur. Data collection techniques using indirect communication, interviews and documentation. Data collection tools using a questionnaire sheet, interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques perform data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' learning difficulties in science subjects in class VIII of SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur were classically stated as moderate according to the results of the questionnaire scores obtained were interpreted as moderate with a percentage of 60.13%. The conclusion in this study is that when carrying out science learning students have learning difficulties with different percentages of each class, in class VIII A the questionnaire score of 61.23% is interpreted as high which states that learning difficulties in science are low, class VIII B the percentage is 59.13% moderately interpreted and grade VIII C with a percentage of 59.23% interpreted as being in accordance with the scores obtained by class VIII B and VIII C stating that students' learning difficulties in science subjects were moderate
