This paper presents a theoretical discussion about space-time as a curricular element which the student learns certain dynamics and positions to knowledge. The interactions to student’s whit curriculars elements are necessary to build knowledge, like other curricular elements, the perspective of use of this element is important to type of learning that is built. Both the organization the space-time and the position and orientation of the bodies in classroom can favours different types of social interactions and learnings in students. Traditionally, the disposition of classroom has followed a technical paradigm and has developed an organizational structures and space-times focused on effectiveness. This perspective propose activities and learnings hierarchical which teachers is the centre of knowledge and they expertise and experience are important to learn. In this sense, students have a secondary plan of action based to assimilation and repetition learning.  However, other perspectives focus to the distribution of the classroom for build a space-time and bodies focused on construction of horizontal relationships between peer through activities that "use" the space-time to suggest common interaction and learnings. This work is focussed to analyses these organizations to classroom and explain the embodied symbology, the communicative relationships, and the possibilities of knowledge construction that we build through the use of the space-time in classroom

Previous studies analyzing event-related potentials (ERPs) associated with attentional networks have focused on phasic alertness, orienting, and executive control, without an independent measure of vigilance. ERPs associated with vigilance have been instead measured in separate studies and via different tasks. The present study aimed to differentiate ERPs associated with attentional networks by simultaneously measuring vigilance along with phasic alertness, orienting, and executive control. Forty participants (34 women, age: M = 25.96; SD = 4.96) completed two sessions wherein the electroencephalogram was recorded while they completed the Attentional Networks Test for Interactions and Vigilance-executive and arousal components, a task that measures phasic alertness, orienting, and executive control along with executive (i.e., detection of infrequent critical signals) and arousal (i.e., sustaining a fast reaction to environmental stimuli) vigilance. ERPs previously associated with attentional networks were replicated here: (a) N1, P2, and contingent negative variation for phasic alertness; (b) P1, N1, and P3 for orienting; and (c) N2 and slow positivity for executive control. Importantly, different ERPs were associated with vigilance: while the executive vigilance decrement was associated with an increase in P3 and slow positivity across time-on-task, arousal vigilance loss was associated with reduced N1 and P2 amplitude. The present study shows that attentional networks can be described by different ERPs simultaneously observed in a single session, including independent measures of executive and arousal vigilance on its assessment.ANPCyT Spanish Government 2018- 3614, 83Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Cientificas y Tecnicas (CONICET)Instituto de Salud Carlos III Spanish Government PID2020- 114790GB- I00Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Secretaría de Ciencia y TecnologíaANID/FONDECYT Regular 1210195, 1210176, 1220995ANID/FONDAP 15150012ANID/PIA/ANILLOS ACT210096ANID/FONDEF ID20I10152, ID22I10029Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd CW2680521United States Department of Health & Human Services National Institutes of Health (NIH) - USAUnited States Department of Health & Human Services National Institutes of Health (NIH) - USA NIH National Institute on Aging (NIA) R01 AG057234Alzheimer's Association SG-20-725707Rainwater Charitable foundation - Tau ConsortiumGlobal Brain Health Institute R01 AG05723

Response for light scattered in the ocular fundus from double-pass and Hartmann–Shack estimations

    Get PDF
Double-pass (DP) and Hartmann--Shack (HS) are complementary techniques based on reflections of light in the ocular fundus that may be used to estimate the optical properties of the human eye. Under conventional data processing, both of these assessment modes provide information on aberrations. In addition, DP data contain the effects of scattering. In the ocular fundus, this phenomenon may arise from the interaction of light with not only the retina, but also deeper layers up to which certain wavelengths may penetrate. In this work, we estimate the response of the ocular fundus to incident light by fitting the deviations between DP and HS estimations using an exponential model. In measurements with negligible intraocular scattering, such differences may be related to the lateral spreading of light that occurs in the ocular fundus due to the diffusive properties of the media at the working wavelength. The proposed model was applied in young healthy eyes to evaluate the performance of scattering in such a population. Besides giving a parameter with information on the ocular fundus, the model contributes to the understanding of the differences between DP and HS estimations.Postprint (author's final draft

This article primarily aims to explain the differences and relations between the concepts of identifcation and identity. It also intends to propose subject identity as a discursive sign emerging from social interaction. In order to do this, theoretical and methodological bases corresponding to the discourse semiotics of the School of Paris are referred to, to analyze Colombian writer Mario Mendoza's novel Satanás. It is stated that the identifcation is a rationalization and evaluation process that includes or results in the identity, which involves subjects taking position towards their own and others' existences

The principal porpouse of this article is to propose a didactical option to read short stories on bais education, using a semiotic model. The idea consist in to guide the reading process across a semiotic and interpretative route and to use questions whithout "terminological abuses". To this objective, it takes into account authors as A.J.
