    The Enhancement of Science in Children Through B4 Group Vegetable Planting Activities on Odd Semester at Pertiwi Kindergarten Metro Studying Year 2017-2018

    This research was conducted to find out the extent of the benefits of growing vegetables to increase the science recognition of children in the Pertiwi Metro Kindergarten B4 group. The problem discussed in this research are the benefits of growing vegetables to increase science recognition to children in group B4. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 2 cycles. Each cycle there are 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The object of the research was carried out at the Metro Pertiwi Kindergarten 2017-2018 Academic Year. The data collection tool used in this research was direct observation with the steps of data collection, data analysis, and drawing conclusions to find out the benefits of growing vegetables to increase science recognition in children and analyzed descriptively. This research is expected to have impact children are more capable, more conscientious, happier and more confident in following the learning process. especially in the introduction of science

    This study aims to determine the role of Muslim intellectuals in the 20th century in reforming Islamic education in Indonesia. The figures that the author examines are Hasyim Asy'ari and Ahmad Dahlan a scholar who founded a large Islamic organization. The progress of Islamic education in Indonesia allegedly coincided with the establishment of large organizations, namely Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah. The research method used in writing is descriptive qualitative research by analyzing relevant written data through heuristic methods. In this study, it was found that at the beginning of the 20th century, Indonesian society was a society that was still underdeveloped in terms of knowledge so Dutch influence dominated, the ulema or kiyai made efforts to awaken and educate the Indonesian nation from scientific backwardness to fight against the colonialists. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ahmad Dahlan played an important role in overhauling the Islamic education system in Indonesia. If Hasyim Asy'ari emphasized the ethics and spirituality of Muslims, Ahmad Dahlan made improvements in terms of method and curriculum. The role of the two kiyai has brought major changes to this day.     Legacy of Sunan Gunung Djati Existing in Cirebon are mosques and palaces which are full of pre-Islamic material elements, both architecturally and objects from the past. This paper aims to explore pre-Islamic material elements in the Cirebon palace and analyze their meaning. The method used in this research is explorative-descriptive, namely one of archaeological research, research by exploring the place under study to look for the desired problem and try to describe it. Based on research, it can be concluded that: first, there are many pre-Islamic elements including, the Barong Lion Train (a train used for the purposes of the sultans), Kamasutera Carvings (reliefs depicting sexual activities), Nandi Statues (vehicles of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parwati), Lingga Yoni (Phallus symbolizing the male genitalia; Yoni symbolizes female genitalia), Bentar Temple (the entrance building of a temple-shaped temple that is split in half), the Derum Elephant Statue on the water (Gajah Derum Tirta Linuih; shows 1458 Saka), the Garuda Statue wrapped around a Snake (Bujnagga Ratu Obahing Bumi; shows 1618 Saka), The Firearms relief Monument (Braja Asta Rasaning Bumi: 1625 Saka), Lotus or Lotus (spiritual symbol symbolizing purity),  The Garuda Mina stretcher (a vehicle for the sultans' children to be circumcised), Surya Majapahit (found on the mihrab of the Great Mosque of Cirebon; is the symbol of the Majapahit Kingdom), Ganesaha Carvings (scientific symbols in Hindu mythology), and Jaladwara (a hole to release water in a temple). Secondly, the existence has the meaning of friendship with other countries at that time such as China, India, and Arabia, it was found on the Barong Lion Train. In addition to this, the existence of pre-Islamic elements is a process of acculturation carried out by Sunan Gunung Djati to captivate the hearts of the people of Cirebon to know and embrace Islam

    Ngumbai Lawok Ceremony: Social Construction and 'Urf' Perspective of the Coastal Muslim Community of Lampung

    The study aims to explain the process of externalization, objectification, and internalization in the urf study of the implementation of ngumbai lawok. The research uses an ethnographic approach where data is taken by looking directly at the ceremonies and traditions to obtain details of the implementation carried out. Analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis technique by describing the object's state under study. The results of this study describe ngumbai lawok is a form of traditional ceremony celebrated or carried out by the people of the West Coast as a form of gratitude to Allah swt to get fruitful results and avoid the calamity that will occur. The externalization process creates the ngumbai lawok ceremony, which is obtained based on his beliefs so far. The objectification process, which includes the ngumbai lawok ceremony, is obtained from the externalization process. Institutional agents consist of traditional leaders, community leaders, village heads, and fishing communities. The internalization process is explored in the name of the community again, perceiving and interpreting every meaning of the ngumbai lawok ceremony. Based on the urf theory review, ngumbai lawok is a form of gratitude in God's nature. In addition, it is a custom that has been accepted by the wider community, justified by considerations of common sense, brings good, and rejects damage. In ngumbai lawok, the request is also purely addressed to Allah and hopes for the blessing and salvation. In addition, in the ngumbai lawok ritual, in essence, the Coastal community only respects their previous ancestors and carries out traditions from generation to generation

    Development of Islamic Value-Based Mathematics Teaching Materials to Improve Students' Understanding of Mathematical Concepts

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media dalam modul berbasis Islam pada materi Aritmatika Sosial dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Tahapan yang dilakukan adalah Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, dan tes khusus. Hasil penilaian berdasarkan angket validasi ahli materi untuk modul ini termasuk dalam kategori “Valid” dengan skor rata-rata 83%. Penilaian ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 87% dalam kategori “Valid”. Pada uji coba lapangan skala besar diperoleh rata-rata 83% dengan kriteria “Menarik”. Kualitas keefektifan produk dilihat dari tes hasil belajar. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji-t pembelajaran menggunakan modul matematika berbasis Islam yang diterapkan di kelas VII 1 lebih efektif daripada di kelas VII 2 yang pendidikannya tidak menggunakan modul matematika berbasis Islam. Hasil analisis menggunakan N-Gain adalah peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul berbasis Islam adalah valid (layak), menarik, praktis untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar, dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.  This study aims to produce media in Islamic-based modules on social arithmetic material in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The study method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The stages carried out are Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research data was obtained using questionnaires, interviews, and special tests. The assessment results based on a material expert validation questionnaire for this module are included in the "Valid" category with an average score of 83%. The media expert's assessment obtained an average score of 87% in the "Valid" category. In a large-scale field trial, an average of 83% was obtained with the "Attractive" criteria. The quality of the product's effectiveness is seen from the learning outcomes test. The results of data analysis using t-test learning using Islamic-based mathematics modules that are applied in class VII 1 are more effective than in class VII 2, whose education does not use Islamic-based mathematics modules. The analysis results using N-Gain are an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Islamic-based modules are valid (feasible), attractive, practical to be used as learning resources, and can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi benda-benda budaya (artefak) dari Situs Pugung Raharjo di Lampung Timur dan menerapkan potensi yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika pendidikan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada jenis pengembangan model ADDIE dan melibatkan semua pihak terkait (stakeholders): 1) Pemerintah Kabupaten Lampung Timur selaku pemilik otoritas di bidang penelitian dan pengembangan, 2) Lembaga Pendidikan Ma'arif NU sebagai pembuat kebijakan di lingkungan pendidikan di bawah NU Lampung, 3) Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu IAIMNU Metro, 4) Dosen dan Guru, 5) Mahasiswa sebagai subjek dari belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei terhadap pengembangan buku ajar bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika di IAIMNU Metro, khususnya bagi pecinta, pemerhati, dan pembuat kebijakan di bidang budaya dan matematika. Etnomatematika telah menjadi salah satu materi pembelajaran Matematika. Sudah menjadi mata kuliah wajib yang harus diajarkan pada program studi Matematika di beberapa kampus ternama di Indonesia namun belum menjadi salah satu mata kuliah wajib dalam program pendidikan matematika IAIMNU Metro Lampung.     The study aims to contextualize the content of the inscription of DalungBojong of East Lampung in the modern era with Fazlur Rohman’s hermeneutical approach. The data were taken from interviews with the main witness, Haji Hasanuddin (Pangiran Betaro Rajo III) as the author and the writer of the inscription DalungBojong and Mr. Hasan al-Basri (Pangiran Sebuwaias the traditional leader of Bojong Village). Dalung Bojong inscription is an archaeological evidence of the strong influence of Banten over Lampung as its territory. The relationship patterns depicted in the inscription are: First, the pattern of political relations in determining all decisions is based on the Sultan's decree. Second, the pattern of economic relations. Banten as a commercial center between nations has an interest in Lampung as an area that produces a lot of agricultural products to meet the needs of trading commodities. Third, the patterns of religious and cultural relations, the patterns of political and economic relations that are formed, and the socio-cultural contacts also occured. The Sultanate of Banten in Islamizing the Pugung people gave birth to many socio-political and cultural dynamics. Queen Pugung, who has principles, never gave up before the war. However, Queen Pugung realized that it was impossible to do war against his daughter-in-law. Finally, Queen Pugung made a circle rule. Those who do not follow the KeratuanPugung rules and choose to convert to Islam must leave the circle (the Pugung area) to the nearby areas of Pugung which became the forerunners of the Sekampung Limo Migo community

    This study aims to analysis early childhood characters through KH. Wahid Hasyim education model at RA Ma’arif Metro. The study used a descriptive qualitative to describe the values of character education in various activities. This study explains KH. Wahid Hasyim’s character and its relevance to early childhood education. Application of character by KH. Wahid Hasyim consists of eight characters: religious, tolerant, independent, democratic, nationalism, love for the motherland, friendly or communicative, and fond of reading. KH. Wahid Hasyim’s framework is in line with the objectives of character education applied in early childhood education. Cultivation of character is given by example, programmed activities, habituation, and repetition in daily life. Instilling character values in early childhood hopes for children’s obedience and must be recognized and believed by children to feel these values are valid and beneficial to themselves and their environment

    This study aims to examine the role of management of educational facilities and infrastructure in increasing the satisfaction of madrasah residents in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Roudlotul Huda Purwosari Padang Ratu, Central Lampung. The research method used is descriptive with data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews. The respondents in this study were madrasah residents consisting of students, teachers, and madrasah staff. The results showed that the management of educational facilities and infrastructure has an important role in increasing the satisfaction of madrasah residents. The availability of adequate educational facilities and infrastructure such as classrooms, libraries, laboratories, sports facilities, and canteens that are clean and comfortable greatly affects the satisfaction of madrasah residents. In addition, good management in the management of educational facilities and infrastructure such as maintenance, repair, and development of facilities also plays a role in increasing the satisfaction of madrasah residents. In this case, cooperation between madrasah administrators and related parties such as the government and the community is also very important to obtain support in the development of educational facilities and infrastructure. In conclusion, this study shows that the management of educational facilities and infrastructure has a very important role in increasing the satisfaction of madrasah residents. Therefore, efforts need to be made to improve the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure and their management to achieve these goals

    Development of Learning Media for Ethnomathematics and Culture of Lampung with the Powtoon Application

    This study aims to develop Mathematics learning media using ethnomathematics based Powtoon applications. This study is using the Borg and Gall development model. Media development is carried out on the material of a flat triangle and quadrilateral of Class VII Junior High School. Data collection instruments used were media expert questionnaires, material experts used to test the quality of mathematics-based Powtoon learning media, and student response questionnaires to test interest in the developed media. Data collection methods used the form of interviews, documentation and questionnaires. This research resulted in ethnomathematics based Powtoon learning media. The results of the assessment by media experts scored 88% in the very feasible category, the assessment of the material experts obtained a score of 87% in the very feasible category, while based on trials in class VII students of Ma'arif 1 Metro SMP which amounted to 22 students obtained a score of 80% with the eligible category. The development of ethnomathematics based Powtoon learning media is feasible and can be used by teachers and students as learning media
