    The fingerprint sensor module records the fingerprint images, and corresponds to the diversity of each fingerprint scanned by the sensor module. After the emergency is pressed if a problem occurs, the SMS with the AT command is sent to the web server. Cars and trucks taken can also be tracked with a GPS tracker attached in the same way. Certain layers of specific safety and security are managed with an ARM 7-based controller that works due to the appropriate node. The complete equipment was analyzed using the inspection part using the car door agreement, vehicle immobilizer, etc. With equivalent connections, while Fingerprint documents come from Matlab, a totally-based GUI.     PRESCRIPTION ERRORS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY: A CROSS-SECTIONAL, OBSERVATIONAL STUDY

    ABSTRACTObjective:  Prescription writing is an art. Writing a correct prescription in compliance with the WHO guidelines requires regular practice. Mistakesin prescription writing are inevitable. Hence, this study was done to analyze the prescriptions from the Outpatient Department of Obstetrics andGynaecology for errors. To analyze the prevalence and types of common prescribing errors in the Outpatient Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.Methods:  This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Pharmacy, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry. 500prescriptions from the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Outpatient Department were collected and analyzed. The study duration was 6 months (JulyDecember2014). The prescriptionswereanalyzedforerrors.Results: Our study revealed that 30.8% of the prescriptions had, at least, one error in them. The majority of the prescriptions had the doctors' signand patient details written in them. The dose of the drug was missing in about 38% of the prescriptions. None of the prescriptions had Type A errorin our study.Conclusion: It was found that prescription errors are still prevalent. The prescribers' have to be updated about the prescribing guidelines and regularauditing should be done to avoid these errors.Keywords: Prescription errors, Obstetrics and gynaecology, Classification of errors

It is estimated that about 27% of the energy generated is stolen or lost in transmission. The photovoltaic (PV) energy systems are gaining popularity because the systems are being developed and designed to extract maximum energy from the sun in most efficient way and supply it to the loads without affecting their performance.In this thesis, a boost converter operating all the switching devices under Zero Voltage Transition is studied and a model converter which can supply a load of 250W is designed and is used in a PV energy system. The comparative study between the new topology and conventional hard switching converter is analyzed in terms of improvement of efficiency and reduction of switching losses

    The Effect of Powder Blend on Drug Release Mechanisms of Hydrophobic Starch Stearate Matrix Tablets

    Free hydroxyl groups of glucose monomer of starch substituted with steroyl group by chemical modification leads to the formation of starch stearate (SS). Modification changes the nature from hydrophilic to hydrophobic and thus used as controlled release excipient. In present study, SS was evaluated as release modifying polymer and MCC, Lactose, Dicalcium phosphate (DCP) and combinations of these were used to evaluate effect on drug release of Verapamil hydrochloride (VH) and Diclofenac sodium (DS). FT-IR studies of polymer with VH and DS have shown no significant drug:polymer interactions. Decrease in in-vitro drug dissolution was observed with increase in polymer concentration. Cumulative drug released for DS (hydrophobic) was more sustained than hydrophilic drug (VH). Drug release from formulations containing 30%w/w of SS after 8h was 81.61 (for VH) and 25.08% (for DS). DCP retarded drug release more when used alone. After 8h % drug release from formulations containing 30%w/w of SS was 49.86 (VH) and 24.19 (DS). The use of lactose alone increased the drug release and combination of DCP:Lactose in equal proportion with 15 %w/w SS sustained more i.e. 42.62% (VH) drug release at the end of 8h

    A questionnaire-based study to evaluate perception, attitude and opinion of undergraduate medical students on the teaching-learning methodology in pharmacology

    Background: Pharmacology enables medical students with the art of rational prescriptions of drugs. Reforms in undergraduate teaching are the need of the hour. The purpose of the study was to assess the student’s attitude, perception, and feedback on teaching-learning methodology. Students’ feedback gives an idea to evaluate teaching methods.Methods: A cross-sectional study based on questionnaire. A total of 200 second-year medical students studying at Rangaraya medical college, Kakinada, were asked to fill up a pre-validated, predesigned questionnaire containing 17 questions. Descriptive statistics were used for analysis of data, and the results were expressed in percentage (%).Results: Out of 200 students, 188 filled the questionnaire, and results were analyzed. 98.43% wanted case-based learning; 96.34% wanted more of clinical pharmacology in the curriculum. 83.53% wanted group discussion. Difficulty level of understanding is CVS (67%), CNS (65%), ANS (59%). 44% preferred tutorials. Combined use of LCD + Blackboard (86.58) is ideal teaching method. 81.70% of students studied textbooks only. According to students, pharmacology teachers should make subject interesting (37%) and student-friendly (31%). The need for pharmacology orientation during the internship (68.29%).Conclusions: The study related to the perception and attitude of the students in learning pharmacology was positive and constructive. The students wish to learn more of clinical and practical oriented way with useful audio-visual aids, and should also be refreshed during internship. Implementation of the same would be helpful for better outcome of students.

    Exercise dependency and overuse injuries in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

    Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common condition, but current medications have limitations, pushing a drive for alternative approaches. Different exercise-focused approaches have shown promise, but concern has also been raised about individuals with ADHD showing greater risk of addiction, including exercise dependency. Using an online survey, we examined current exercise practices, including exercise dependency and the presence of overuse injury, which could result from over-exercising, in 114 adults with ADHD. We found that most were regularly exercising. None were classified as exercise dependent, but 38.9% were deemed symptomatic non-dependent. Hyperactive-impulsive symptoms were a predictor of the level of exercise withdrawal experienced and the co-occurrence of Autism Spectrum Disorder was associated with greater risk of overuse injuries. The data indicate that ADHD may confer some greater risk of exercise dependency, aligning with previous studies investigating other addictions and suggesting further research is critical

    The internet of things (IOT) is changing human lives by connecting everyday objects together. Nowadays shopping at big malls is a daily activity in metro cities. One can see a huge rush at malls on holidays and on special discount days. People purchase different items and put them in trolleys and go to billing counter for payments. In that time, they have to wait in a long queue to get their products scanned using RFID reader with help of barcode scanner and get their billed. To modify that customer has to purchase in smart way in shopping malls. Each and e very product is attached with a RFID tags, when placed into a smart shopping cart, can be automatically read by a cart equipped with a RFID reader, so that the billing can be conducted from the shopping cart itself. In this way, customer can avoid waiting in a long queue at the checkout points. For this system, additional smart shelving can be added and equipped with RFID reader and can monitor stock, also updating central server, server knows the status of the items in the store. The inventory management also becomes much easier, because all the items can be automatically read by a RFID reader instead of manually scanned by the laborer

    Objectives: To study the phytochemical analysis and antimicrobial compounds from fruits of Thespesia populnea.Methods: The determination of antimicrobial activity of fruit extract was done by agar well diffusion method. Active compounds were extracted bydifferent solvent extraction methods. The presence of active compounds was confirmed by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, Fourier transforminfrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis (GC-MS).Results: The active extract was identified by the GC-MS analysis and it was revealed that the presence of oleic acid, pentadecanoic acid, and N-hexadecanoic acid.Conclusion: This method adopted and extracted purified active metabolites and can be fruitfully employed for obtaining novel antibiotic compounds to treat human pathogenic bacterial and fungal diseases.Keywords: Thespesia populnea (L.), Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Antimicrobial, Phytochemical
