Sequences of differential operators: exponentials, hypercyclicity and equicontinuity
In this paper, an eigenvalue criterion for hypercyclicity due to the first author is improved. As a consequence, some new sufficient conditions for a sequence of infinite order linear differential operators to be hypercyclic on the space of holomorphic functions on certain domains of C N are shown. Moreover, several necessary conditions are furnished. The equicontinuity of a family of operators as before is also studied, and it is even characterized if the domain is C N. The results obtained extend or improve earlier work of several authors.Dirección General de Enseñanza Superior (DGES). EspañaJunta de Andalucí
U-operators
Inspired by a statement of W. Luh asserting the existence of entire functions having together with all their derivatives and antiderivatives
some kind of additive universality or multiplicative universality on certain compact subsets of the complex plane or of, respectively, the punctured complex plane, we introduce in this paper the new concept of U-operators, which are defined on the space of entire functions. Concrete examples, including differential and antidifferential operators, composition, multiplication and shift operators, are studied. A result due to Luh, Martirosian and Müller about the existence of universal entire functions with gap power series is also strengthened.Plan Andaluz de Investigación (Junta de Andalucía
DESEMPENHO DAS UNIVERSIDADES BRASILEIRAS NO “U-MULTIRANK” NO PERÍODO 2017-2020
The present paper makes an evaluation of the performances of the Brazilian Universities in the “U-Multirank”, in the range from 2017 to 2020. The “U-Multirank” is a multidimensional academic ranking created in Europe, presenting results since 2014. It gives a new multidimensional approach that has the goal of showing the weakness and strengths of each University, using five Dimensions. In this way, it does not classify Institutions in a single ranking. This model is very important in Brazil nowadays, because it is the model that Capes is using to prepare the new evaluation of the post-graduate system in Brazil. Of course there will be adaptations, but a general study of this ranking is important to give an idea of its future use. Only 20 Brazilian Universities are listed in this ranking in 2020. It is a small number, but it is significant in regional terms, since South America has only 35 Universities listed.El presente trabajo hace una evaluación del desempeño de las Universidades brasileñas en el “U-Multirank”, de 2017 a 2020. Estudo do ranking acadêmico multidimensional "U-Multirank"
The present paper studies the Dimensions and Indicators of the academic international multidimensional ranking “U-Multirank”. The study of this ranking is important in Brazil nowadays, because the new evaluation of the graduate programmes in Brazil is using many aspects of multidimensional evaluation, including some concepts used by the U-Multirank. This ranking shows the weaknesses and strengths of each Academic Institution, using five Dimensions that are composed by 36 Indicators. This large number of Dimensions and Indicators gives a more complete view of the Universities, but raise questions about their independence and data availability. The top 300 European Academic Institutions listed in the 2020 edition are analyzed, explaining the Dimensions and Indicators and making statistical correlations between them.O presente artigo estuda as Dimensões e Indicadores do ranking acadêmico internacional multidimensional “U-Multirank”.

Patriarchy and machismo: Political, economic and social effects on women
This thesis focuses on patriarchy and machismo and the long lasting political, economic, and social effects that their practice has had on women in the United States and Latin America. It examines the role of the Catholic Church, political influences, social, cultural, economic and legal issues, historic issues (such as the Industrial Revolution), the importance of the family\u27s preference for sons rather than daughters, and the differences in the raising of male and female children for their adult roles
Maximal cluster sets on spaces of holomorphic functions
This is an expository paper where we relate some aspects of the problem of looking for holomorphic functions with maximal cluster sets under the action of operators defined on spaces of holomorphic functions. Some functional generalizations of cluster sets, as well as special spaces of analytic functions, are also considered.
Morphometric and gonad maturity in the spider crab "Maja brahcydactyla". A comparison of methods for the estimation of the size at maturity in species with determinate growth
[Abstract] Ontogenetic changes in the relative growth of males and females of the spider crab Maja brachydactyla, a species with terminal moult and determinate growth, were analyzed and related to their reproductive (maturity) status. Sampling was carried out in
the Ría de A Coruña (NW Spain) from December 1997 to November 1999. A
combination of principal component analysis of morphometric variables, nonhierarchical
K-means cluster and discriminant analysis allowed to differentiate two
morphometric groups of males defined as juvenile and adult phases and develop
statistical methods to assign maturity status to individual crabs. A significant change in
allometry of cheliped size was detected in juvenile males with a breakpoint at 96.2 mm
carapace length (CL), separating the inmature and adolescent phases. Histological
analysis of males showed that more than 60% of morphometrically juveniles and 100%
of morphometrically adults presented spermatophores in the gonad. Size at gonad
maturity in males (estimated as CL50) was 96.2 mm CL. Size at morphometric maturity
was estimated comparing two methodologies: the size at 50% maturity (CL50) and the
median size of adult cohorts. For the whole sampling period, two adult-year classes,
CL50 was estimated to be 136.5 mm for males and 130.3 mm for females, while median
size of adult cohorts for the same period was estimated to be 139.9 mm for males and
148.7 mm for females. In all cases the size at maturity obtained from the median of the
cohort was greater than the one resulting from the CL50 method with differences of over
20 mm, showing the bias that methods based in CL50 could cause in animals with
determinate growth. Due the spatial segregation of adults and juveniles and the
availability of morphological and morphometrical methods to estimate the maturity
status of any crab, we propose a combination of spatial closures and direct protection of
juvenile habitat as management strategies alternative to minimum landing sizesXunta de Galicia; XUGA10301B97Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología; REN2000-0446MA
Lineability and modes of convergence
In this paper we look for the existence of large linear and algebraic structures of sequences of measurable functions with different
modes of convergence. Concretely, the algebraic size of the family of sequences that are convergent in measure but not a.e. pointwise, uniformly but not pointwise convergent, and uniformly convergent but not in L1-norm, are analyzed. These findings extend and complement a
number of earlier results by several authors.Junta de AndalucíaMinisterio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (MICINN). Españ
