    The purpose of this research is to describe a mathematical problem-solving approach to the matrix material. This type of research is qualitative research using library research methods. Data collection techniques by identifying from books, articles, journals, papers, and various information related to mathematical problem-solving approaches to the matrix material. The results showed: (1) the students' way of understanding the problem of types of matrices, calculation operations on matrices, determinants, and inverses; (2) the way students make plans for solving problems with the types of matrices, calculation operations on matrices, determinants, and inverses; (3) the way students carry out the problem-solving plan types of matrices, count operations on the matrix, determinants, and inverses; and (4) how to recheck the results from solving the matrix types, count operations on the matrix, determinants, and inverse

    The purpose of this study was to describe the differences in the characteristics of the ability to think creatively between women and men in solving mathematical problems through an open description test. The research subjects were students of IKIP Budi Utomo Malang semester 3 Mathematics Education Study Program. The mathematical problem solving provided is mathematical problems that require divergent thinking in solving them. This research is a qualitative-descriptive research in which to determine the characteristics of the ability to think creatively through a mathematical problem solving test. The purpose of this research is to describe the different characteristics between women and men in solving math problems. Based on the results of the analysis, it is said that a person has different creative potential both from the characteristics of creative thinking and the creative point of view he has. A person's ability to think creatively is due to the person's personal characteristics, problem characteristics, and point of view. A person is able to develop the creative potential contained in him by getting to know more about the characteristics of the ability to think creatively, especially what aspects stand out

    Analisis Keterampilan Mengajar Calon Guru Pendidikan Matematika Pada MataKuliah Micro Teaching

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui keterampilan mengajar calon guru pendidikan matematika pada mata kuliah micro teaching. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa angkatan 2012 Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar rubrik penilaian keterampilan mengajar calon guru dan rubrik penilaian RPP. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Calon guru pendidikan matematika memiliki keterampilan membuka pelajaran dengan sangat baik, tetapi  indikator menarik perhatian belum dicapai secara optimal. (2) Calon guru pendidikan matematika memiliki keterampilan menjelaskan dengan sangat baik, tetapi indikator menarik penggunaan metode  dan penguasaan kompetensi belum dicapai secara optimal. (3)  Calon guru pendidikan matematika memiliki keterampilan bertanya pelajaran dengan sangat baik. Semua indikator  keterampilan bertanya sudah dicapai, namun kurang optimal pada indikator penyebaran. (4) Calon guru pendidikan matematika memiliki keterampilan memberi penguatan dengan sangat baik, tetapi kurang optimal pada indikator variasi dalam penggunaan. (5) Calon guru pendidikan matematika memiliki keterampilan mengadakan variasi dengan sangat baik., tetapi indikator variasi dalam cara mengajar dan variasi alat atau bahan yang dapat didengar belum tercapai secara optimal. (6) Calon guru pendidikan matematika memiliki keterampilan menutup pelajaran dengan sangat baik, tetapi belum tercapai secara optimal pada indikator mengevaluasi. (7) Calon guru pendidikan matematika membuat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dengan sangat baik, tetapi belum tercapai secara optimal pada indikator metode pembelajaran dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan iklim kelas pembelajaran matematika yang meliputi sosial kelas, fisikal kelas, kedisplinan kelas, dan sosio-emosianal kelas. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Informan adalah kepala sekolah, guru, siswa kelas X putri dan siswa kelas X putra. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data digunakan teknik trianggulasi. Hasil penelitian (1) Sosial iklim kelas pembelajaran matematika antara lain terciptanya komunikasi yang komunikatif, kepuasaan pembelajaran, kompetisi, keutuhan dan kerjasama antara siswa dan guru. Dalam proses pembelajaran guru mengurangi kesulitan dan kejenuhan. (2) Fisikal iklim kelas pembelajaran matematika antara lain terciptanya kerapian, kebersihan, dan keamanan didalam kelas. Instalasi dan pencahayaan didalam kelas sangat mendukung pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran matematika memiliki perlengkapan dan letak gedung sangat strategis. (3) kedisiplinan iklim kelas pembelajaran matematika antara lain terciptanya ketertiban, kesadaran akan peraturan, dan hukuman untuk pelanggaran. Guru memiliki pendekatan eksternal dan insternal untuk menyelasaikan masalah siswa. Pemberian penghargaan kepada siswa yang berprestasi. (4) sosio-emosional iklim kelas matematika antara lain terjadi hubungan emosional, kesadaran emosional dan pengelolaan emosional antara siswa dan guru. Menciptakan sikap saling hormat-menghormati, keakraban, kekeluargaan, dan keadilan guru dalam perhatian dan penilaian

    The purpose of this study is to describe students' learning difficulties in studying variables, constants, coefficients, the factors, types of parts, similar tribes, and the tribes do not like. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative approach. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative approach. The subject of this study consisted of three students of class VII A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura. The instrument used was a booklet multiplication factor, coefficients, constants, parts, and similar parts and pieces of interviews. Data were analyzed using the concept of Miles and Huberman. The results showed: (1) students have difficulties in understanding the concepts and definitions of the types of parts, multiplication factors, the tribes of similar or not similar tribes, tribal, constants, variables, and the coefficient of the algebra. (2) students have difficulty in classifying the algebra by type tribe. (3) students have difficulty in distinguishing factor of the algebra and multiplication factor numbers. (4) students have difficulty in differentiating the tribes of similar or not similar and why. (5) students' difficulties in classifying the tribe, constants, variables, and the coefficient of the algebra

    Culture and mathematics are two things that can be combined in a lesson. In everyday life, culture is often seen as having nothing to do with mathematics. In the process of learning mathematics, teachers can extract knowledge from students from the life of the community around where they live. The environment can be a source of learning mathematics in real life. The environment in question is one of them is culture. Ethnomatematics is a combination of mathematics with cultural elements. One of the ethnomathematics objects is traditional cloth motifs. Each region certainly has its own culture, including the traditional cloth that is characteristic of that area. Ulos Batak cloth is one of the distinctive cultures of the Batak people. Exploration and exploring the mathematical concepts contained in the Ulos Batak cloth motifs that can be used as a source of learning mathematics and as an effort to develop ethnomathematics as a basis for learning mathematics is the aim of this exploratory research with an ethnographic approach. Through exploration and literature study, it can be concluded that there is a geometric concept of a flat shape in several Ulos Batak cloth motifs. The structures are square, rectangle, triangle, rhombus, and kite. Learning mathematics using ethnomathematics objects is expected to make students more active in learning mathematics,  able to understand the importance of learning mathematics as well as understand the cultural heritage that exists in their respective regions

    The aim of this research was to describe the profile of critical thinking process of the students in grade VIII of State Junior Secondary School 3 of Surakarta in solving the problems on linear equation of two variables (LETV) viewed from the multiple intelligence and gender. This research used the descriptive research method with the qualitative explorative approach. The subjects of the research were taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The subjects of the research were four students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary School 3 of Surakarta, one male student and female student with linguistic intelligence, and one male student and one female student with mathematical-logical intelligence. The instruments used to gather the data of the research were multiple intelligence questionnaire, worksheet for mathematical problem-solving, and interview guidelines. The data were collected through questionnaire and task-based interview on the learning material of LETV. They were validated by using the time triangulation and the reference fulfillment. The data were analyzed using a Miles and Huberman's concept, that was data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research are as follows. 1) The male and female students with linguistic intelligence had a good ability to capture information and may communicate it effectively both written and orally. The critical thinking can be realized through four phases. However, the male in the recognition phase, they encounters a difficulty i.e. the question they mentions is less complete. In addition, in thinking about alternatives, they are only able to mention one problem-solving alternative, namely: mixed alternative. 2) The male and female students with mathematical-logical intelligence are able to think logically. They are able to do categorization, classification, conclusion drawing over a problem. The critical thinking can be realized through four phases. However, in the recognition phase, they encounters a difficulty i.e. the question they mentions is less complete. In addition, in thinking about alternatives, they are only able to mention two problem-solving alternatives, namely: mixed alternative and substitution alternative

Therefore for facilitate coffee farmers, the formation of a group of Independent Farmers Republic (RTM). The aim of this group is to increase the selling price of coffee beans and to give more respect to farmers, especially coffee farmers. A group or organization is definitely not free from problems, and so is RTM. This group experienced both internal and external problems. such as the lack of manpower to produce coffee and also not being able to introduce Koetjoer Coffee to the general public. Therefore, the PMBP Sederhana Group provides a solution in the form of helping in the coffee making process. Apart from that, the PMBP Sederhana Group also participates in marketing and introducing Kopi Koetjoer products by creating content that is innovative and interesting. This has a positive impact because the production produced more and more people know that in Kucur Village there are Koetjoer Coffee products
