Listening and speaking are the important skills that have to be mastered by the students. By having these skills, the students can communicate with others easily. There are many strategies that can be used to teach listening and speaking skills. One of the strategies is by using animation videos. Many students of all ages still like watching animation videos for they are interesting. Animation videos can help the students more understand because they present visual context aids that assist the students comprehend and improve their learning skills. Animation videos can be integrated with discussion method. This paper aims at providing required information about the advantages of animation videos and how to use them in the teaching and learning English activity

ANALISIS PENENTUAN HARGA POKOK PRODUKSI DENGAN METODE FULL COSTING SEBAGAI DASAR PENETAPAN HARGA JUAL PADA PT MERMAID TEXTILE INDUSTRY (MERTEX) MOJOKERTO

The purpose of this study was to analyze the sales price calculation based on the calculation of the cost of production. Methods for analyzing the cost of production and selling prices is to use the full costing method. Benchmark for setting the selling price if the cost of production is low, then the selling price is reduced and vice versa ajuga participate. Result analysis of the cost of production is there are sellisih cost of production in 2007 amounted to Rp 15312.43 and in 2008 amounted to Rp 22510.71. While the results of analysis of the selling price calculation is the difference in 2007 amounted to Rp 69140.72 and year 2008 also experienced a difference of Rp 35653.79. This will affect the selling price there, which should be suppressed lower, although even with a larger profit. So the company set a higher selling price. With the high price, then the demand decreases. Besides the company can not compete with the high selling price

The promotion strategies of disbudpar Surakarta in developing the tourism in Surakarta

This final project report is written based on the job training which was been done at DISBUDPAR Surakarta. The objectives of this report are to describes the promotion strategies of DISBUDPAR Surakarta, to find out the problems faced by DISBUDPAR Surakarta and the solutions to the problems faced by DISBUDPAR Surakarta in developing tourism in Surakarta. The data of this report are taken from observation and library study by collecting information from books, document, interview and other reliable literatures. Based on the observation conducted, conclusion can be drawn that DISBUDPAR did various promotion activities which are done continuously and organized. Promotion is done in order to create awareness among public about tourist attraction and also improve the tourist visit at Surakarta. There are several promotion activities done by DISBUDPAR, opening TIC, promoting tourism attraction, holding events and participating in national and international events, carrying out annual putra-putri Solo, and making coordination with other entertainment places. In relation to developing surakarta tourism, DISBUDPAR faced several problems. There are problem related to budget, bureaucracy and human resources. Therefore, the implementation of promotion activities by DISBUDPAR that were supported by proper budget, simple procedural administration system and reorganizing the schedule of DISBUDPAR officer is needed to develop surakarta tourism

ANALISA TINGKAT KERUSAKAN JALAN DAN PERBAIKAN LAPIS TAMBAH (OVERLAY) PERKERASAN LENTUR MENGGUNAKAN METODE BINA MARGA 2017 DAN AASHTO 1993 PADA RUAS JALAN PODOREJO – TUNGGANGRI, KECAMATAN SUMBERGEMPOL, KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG, JAWA TIMUR

This road planning was carried out on the Podorejo-Tunggangri Highway section, Sumbergempol District, Tulungagung Regency. The Podorejo-Tunggangri road is an alternative road to get to the city and this road has been under construction for a long time so that the modes of transportation that pass through this road section have also increased. There is an increase in traffic volume on this road section from year to year, resulting in a decrease in the road's ability to accept the load on it. Therefore, there is a lot of damage to the road pavement. This planning aims to determine the damage that occurred using the PCI Method, as well as appropriate road handling methods using the 2017 Bina Marga and AASHTO 1993 Methods. The damage value on the Podorejo-Tunggangri Road using the PCI Method was obtained at 39,4%. From the planning results using the 2017 Bina Marga Method, it was found that the AC-WC layer thickness was 4 cm, the AC-BC layer thickness was 6 cm. And for the results of the 1993 AASTHO Method, a surface layer thickness of 16 cm was obtained with a Planned Budget (RAB) of Rp 9,314,566,628.85

CULTURAL TRANSLATION OF TRADITIONAL FOOD FROM WEST-JAVA: A MEDIA TO PROMOTE THE TRADITIONAL CUISINE TO THE WORLD

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world with a total of 17,054 islands. Each island has different customs, values and habits. As one of the elements of culture,Indonesian culinary is also a pride cultural element. Traditional Indonesian food is one ofthe attractions of foreign tourists and local tourists. In Indonesia there are many kinds oftraditional food. From 17,054 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago, there is theisland of Java which is known for its unique history and its beauty. It is named WestJava.West Java Province, also known as the land of Sunda, has different kind of dishescomparing to other Indonesian cuisine. Sundanese people by utilizing the existing ingredients in the surrounding likes to create a unique food in terms of names and flavors.Name it colenak, combro, batagor, cireng, cimol, gehu, and so on. In translation, there isprocedure known as cultural equivalent. Cultural equivalent is an approximate translationwhere a source language of cultural word is translated by a target language cultural word(Newmark, 1988:82). The translation from kinds of food from West Java is a way topromote the traditional food to international world. The research is conducted usingdescriptive- qualitative method. In this study, the object of the research data is the typicalfood of West Java which is located in big cities in West Java, such as in Sumedang andGarut. The data are obtained by conducting survey method and questionnaire interview. The researcher goes to the area to capture the culinary trademarks in some areas in WestJava. The results of this research will give big effect to tourism development in West Java cuisine

KETERLIBATAN GENERASI MUDA DALAM MELESTARIKAN NILAI DAN PRAKTIK TRADISI BUKA LUWUR DI KUDUS: STUDI ETNOGRAFI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlibatan generasi muda dalam melestarikan nilai dan praktik tradisi Buku Luwur Sunan Kudus. Untuk itu, studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi etnografis. Lokasi penelitian ini berada di Desa Kauman, Kecamatan Kota, Kabupaten Kudus – Jawa tengah. Informan dipilih secara purposif (bertujuan) sesuai kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Sedangkan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah yang diadaptasi dari model Spradley. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertama, keterlibatan generasi muda dalam melestarikan nilai dan praktik tradisi Buka Luwur Sunan Kudus dilakukan melalui beberapa cara, yaitu berpartisipasi aktif sebagai panitia, perewang, dan partisipan. Kedua, faktor yang mendorong keterlibatan generasi muda dalam tradisi ini, di antaranya adalah (1) Perasaan memiliki (sense of belonging) terhadap tradisi Buka Luwur; (2) Upaya menta’dzimi Sunan Kudus dan ngalap berkah (mengais keberkahan) karenanya, dan (3) Kemanfaatan diri seperti perbaikan karakter, peningkatan pemahaman agama, dan peningkatan kesadaran atas nilai-nilai keagamaan. Dan ketiga, nilai-nilai islami yang dirasakan dan dipraktikkan oleh generasi muda dalam keterlibatannya di tradisi Buka Luwur meliputi: (1) Nilai kejujuran, (2) Nilai kesabaran, (3) Nilai kasih sayang, dan (4) Nilai toleransi
