The study aims to analyze the factors related to the exclusion of disabled students in physical education classes. The study involved the participation of three students (between 12 and 21 years) with visual or physical disabilities. We used a semistructured interview and field records as measuring instruments. The interviews followed a structured schedule with issues related to the subjective perception of exclusion for students with disabilities. For these, the exclusion is associated with a lack of adaptation classes, social isolation and feelings of inferiority. These three factors are presented in association and joint.191117137Alves, M.L.T., (2009) Aulas de educação física: Uma análise do processo inclusive, p. 44. , 2009. The objective of this study was to observe real-world inclusion of children with Down Syndrome (SD) in physical education classes in school. Furthermore, we identified possible hindering and facilitating factors during classes. This analysis was performed through systematic observation of physical education classes during the school year. Thirty-three (20 boys and 13 girls) 3rd grade students and one nine years old boy with SD served as subjects for this study. The student with SD did not show difficulties in understanding and performing activities during practice. However, he did not easily establish social relationships with his peers.183237256Alves, M.L.T., Duarte, E., Os caminhos percorridos pelo processo inclusivo de alunos com deficiência na escola: Uma reflexão dos direitos construídos historicamente Revista Educação Especial, 24 (40), pp. 207-218. , Santa Maria, maio/ago, 2011Batista, M.W., Enumo, S.R.F., Inclusão Escolar e Deficiência Mental: Análise da Interação Social entre Companheiros (2004) Estudos De Psicologia, 9 (1), pp. 101-111. , NatalBlinde, E., McCallister, S., Listening to the Voices of students with Physical Disabilities (1998) Journal of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, 69 (6), pp. 64-68. , VirginiaBlock, M., Obrusnikova, I., Inclusion in Physical Education: A Review of Literature from 1995-2005 (2007) Adapted Physical Activity Quartely, 24, pp. 103-124. , IllinoisBlock, M., Zeman, R., Including students with disabilities in regular physical education: Effects on nondisabled children (1996) Adapted Physical Activity Quartely, 13 (1), pp. 38-49. , Illinois(1994) Declaração De Salamanca E Linha De Ação Sobre Necessidades Educativas Especiais, , BRASIL, Brasília: UNESCOAprova O Texto Da Convenção Sobre Os Direitos Das Pessoas Com Deficiência E De Seu Protocolo Facultativo, 1 (131), p. 1. , Brasil.
