El despido colectivo: una aproximación jurisprudencial del procedimiento

El despido colectivo es la decisión empresarial que mayor impacto tiene en el entorno social, por ello, concierne al Estado su intervención para evitar desajustes en el mercado de trabajo y, por consiguiente, en la economía del país. Esto ha llevado a establecer un complejo procedimiento que deben cumplir con rigor los empleadores, con el fin de evitar que se produzca el fraude. El presente trabajo trata de analizar la figura de esta modalidad de extinción contractual masiva desde todos sus ámbitos, tanto desde el procedimiento sustantivo, como desde el procesal, complementándolo en cada fase, con las interpretaciones y los criterios con los que los órganos jurisdiccionales han ido moldeando la legislación, protegiendo en la medida de lo posible al trabajador, la parte más débil de la relación laboral, de los abusos del empresario y su afán por maximizar el beneficio.Grado en Relaciones Laborales y Recursos Humano

Llamadas del repertorio vocal de Eleutherodactylus eileenae (Anura: leptodactylidae) del occidente de Cuba

Se analizan tres tipos de llamadas del repertorio vocal de machos activos de Eleulherodaclylus eileenae de una población del occidente de Cuba. La llamada de anuncio típica (llamada tipo I), consiste de dos notas bien diferenciadas en cuanto a duración y frecuencia dominante, siendo la primera nota (Ca), más corta y de menor frecuencia que la segunda (Lin). Durante las interacciones vocales propias del combate, los machos producen dos tipos de llamadas agresivas, cuya función parece estar relacionada con la defensa del territorio. La llamada tipo II consiste de una nota Coo, de mayor duración que la de la llamada de anuncio típica. La llamada tipo III es una señal multinotas, cuyo primer elemento es de estructura similar a la llamada de anuncio típica, pero de mayor frecuencia dominante y menor duración. El segundo elemento de ésta es una repetición de hasta tres notas similares en estructura, duración y frecuencia dominante a la segunda nota de la llamada tipo I.Asociación Herpetológica Argentin

Exploring Software Engineering Subjects by Using Visual Learning Analytics Techniques

[EN]The application of the Information and Communication Technologies to teaching and learning processes is linked to the development of new tools and services that can help students and teachers. Learning platforms are a clear example of this. They are very popular tools in eLearning contexts and provide different kinds of learning applications and services. In addition, these environments also register most of the interactions between the learning process stakeholders and the system. This information could potentially be used to make decisions but usually it is stored as raw data, which is very difficult to understand. This work presents a system that employs visual learning analytic techniques to facilitate the exploitation of that information. The system presented includes several tools that make possible to explore issues such as: when interaction is carried out, which contents are the most important for users, how they interact with others, etc. The system was tested in the context of a software engineering subject, taking into account the stored logs of five academic years. From this analysis it is possible to see how visual analytics can help decision-making and in this context how it helps to improve educational processes

Neurofeedback training with a motor imagery-based BCI: neurocognitive improvements and EEG changes in the elderly

Producción CientíficaNeurofeedback training (NFT) has shown to be promising and useful to rehabilitate cognitive functions. Recently, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) were used to restore brain plasticity by inducing brain activity with a NFT. In our study, we hypothesized that a NFT with a motor imagery-based BCI (MI-BCI) could enhance cognitive functions related to aging effects. To assess the effectiveness of our MI-BCI application, 63 subjects (older than 60 years) were recruited. This novel application was used by 31 subjects (NFT group). Their Luria neuropsychological test scores were compared with the remaining 32 subjects, who did not perform NFT (control group). Electroencephalogram (EEG) changes measured by relative power (RP) endorsed cognitive potential findings under study: visuospatial, oral language, memory, intellectual and attention functions. Three frequency bands were selected to assess cognitive changes: 12, 18, and 21 Hz (bandwidth 3 Hz). Significant increases (p<0.01) in the RP of these frequency bands were found. Moreover, results from cognitive tests showed significant improvements (p<0.01) in four cognitive functions after performing five NFT sessions: visuospatial, oral language, memory, and intellectual. This established evidence in the association between NFT performed by a MI-BCI and enhanced cognitive performance.
