Relaxation of superflow in a network: an application to the dislocation model of supersolidity of helium crystals

We have considered the dislocation network model for the supersolid state in He-4 crystals. In difference with uniform 2D and 3D systems, the temperature of superfluid transition T_c in the network is much smaller than the degeneracy temperature T_d. It is shown that a crossover into a quasi superfluid state occurs in the temperature interval between T_c and T_d. Below the crossover temperature the time of decay of the flow increases exponentially under decrease of the temperature. The crossover has a continuous character and the crossover temperature does not depend on the density of dislocations.Comment: Corrected typo

Dynamics of Cognitive Functions in Patients With Parasellar Meningiomas Undergoing Radiotherapy

    Get PDF
This study was focused on neuropsychological analysis of the cognitive functions in patients with parasellar meningiomas undergoing radiation therapy. In these patients, the unilateral hippocampus adjacent to the tumor was partially exposed to irradiation. A novel approach was used to assess particular memory functionsincluding pattern separation, in subpopulations of subjects prior to the course of radiotherapy, immediately after the course, and 1–2 years after therapy. Our results show a tendency for pattern separation decline in the long-term follow-up. A possible association of these disorders with the effect of the hippocampal region irradiation and inhibition of adult neurogenesis is discussed. Keywords: cognitive functions, radiation therapy, hippocampus, parasellar meningioma, pattern separation, adult neurogenesi

Purpose: The article aims to investigate the current situation of the agricultural sector, as well as its normative-legal regulation in the Russian Federation. Currently, in the context of the economic development, the importance of the agricultural sector is undeniable. Design/Methodology/Approach: It is necessary to determine the trajectory of the internal control system in the management of agricultural organizations, to investigate the current situation of the agricultural sector in the Russian Federation, as well as to systematize the normative regulation in the agricultural sector and to identify the groups of problems of the internal control system. Findings: The article presents the stages of the implementation of the state policy in the field of a sustainable development of rural areas. There are identified the main directions of the development of the agricultural sector. Having analyzed the industry features in agriculture, determined by different scientists and practitioners, the authors identified features that affect the organization of the internal control system. There are analyzed and allocated enlarged groups of problems of internal control system in the agricultural organizations: normative-legal; organizational-methodical; informational; methodological; software and hardware. Practical Implications: The results of the study can be implemented into the practice of organization, functioning and improvement of the internal control system of agricultural organizations. Originality/Value: The main contribution of this study is to clarify and develop the theoretical and methodological aspects of the internal control system in agricultural organizations in the context of digitalization.peer-reviewe

Exclusive ppnnπ+π+pp \to nn \pi^{+}\pi^{+} reaction at LHC and RHIC

We evaluate differential distributions for the four-body ppnnπ+π+p p \to n n \pi^+ \pi^+ reaction. The amplitude for the process is calculated in the Regge approach including many diagrams. We make predictions for possible future experiments at RHIC and LHC energies. Very large cross sections are found which is partially due to interference of a few mechanisms. Presence of several interfering mechanisms precludes extraction of the elastic π+π+\pi^+ \pi^+ scattering cross section. Absorption effects are estimated. Differential distributions in pseudorapidity, rapidity, invariant two-pion mass, transverse-momentum and energy distributions of neutrons are presented for proton-proton collisions at s\sqrt{s} = 500 GeV (RHIC) and s\sqrt{s} = 0.9, 2.36 and 7 TeV (LHC). Cross sections with experimental cuts are presented.Comment: 22 pages, 18 figures, calculations have been corrected, new processes added, discussion expanded in print in Phys. Rev.

Systemic Diagnostics of the Arctic Industry Development Strategy

The article analyzes organizational and economic problems of the industry in the Arctic and discloses methods and tools for researching these problems. An attempt to use the method of system diagnostics is made, which has established itself as a basis for determining the development strategy of industry in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF). This method allows to explore the mechanism of natural resources development in the Arctic, such as hydrocarbons and marine biological resources; as well as the organization of logistics and transport corridors for trade of goods produced in the North and in the central regions of Russia. The role, significance and content of the strategy as an essential element of the system for managing natural wealth development in the Arctic in the context of its growing importance in development of global transport corridor are revealed. Importance of a systematic approach to the development of industry in the Arctic is substantiated, it will ensure development of all investors interested in this region; will allow the state, large corporations, small and medium-sized businesses to work together for the long term. The proposed method for system diagnostics of strategizing the development of industrial potential in the AZRF can be used in the implementation of «Development Strategy for the Arctic Region» as part of roadmap realization for the Arctic region

Basic principles of construction and organization of the enterprise corporate innovative system

Four basic principles, necessary for the enterprises for successful development of space of a corporate innovative system within the fourth industrial revolution «Industry-4», have been highlighted. These include globality, openness, partnership of businessmen and network organization. It has been proved, that the hi-tech enterprises, working in Russia, already today need to create and actively develop space: standard, digital, technological, physical, ideological, organizational, in which various innovative initiatives and projects will be able effectively to work

Multi-word terms as keywords in the iSybislaw databaseThis article is devoted to the problem of the criteria on which multi-word terms should be selected and verified for the bibliographic database of Slavic linguistics publications iSybislaw. The text is based on Russian and Polish linguistic material. Such criteria as actuality, frequency, transparency of form are applied separately in each language and different sets and variability of terms in the each case are established. The authors examine also the reasons of formal and semantic asymmetry between Polish and Russian terminological units in the database

Atorvastatin: old friend in the light of novel coronavirus infection’s pandemia

    Get PDF
The COVID-19 (COronaVIrus Disease 2019) pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus 2) continues to be a global threat to people and health systems. As of March 21, 2022, there are more than 460 million cases and more than 6 million deaths worldwide, and more than 17 million and 360,000 respectively in the Russian Federation. Due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus infection, since the beginning of the pandemic, tremendous efforts have been made to create new pharmacological agents to reduce morbidity and mortality, and tactics have been used to repurpose existing medications in treatment regimens for patients with COVID-19, particularly statins. Statins represent one of the most widely used and prescribed classes of drugs in the world. The hypolipidemic properties of statins are actively used to treat hyperlipidemia and primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases and their complications. Statins have a known safety profile, are inexpensive and accessible. In addition to their hypolipidemic effects, statins have a wide range of pleiotropic anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antithrombotic effects potentially useful in the treatment of COVID-19. Presumably, the use of statins can reduce SARS-CoV-2-induced organ and tissue damage and improve lung function. The use of statins, particularly atorvastatin, as one of the most effective, widely prescribed and studied drugs in this class, as a safe, affordable and relatively inexpensive therapy may be a promising therapeutic approach in the fight against a new coronavirus infection
