THE IMPLEMENTATION OF USSR (UNINTERRUPTED SUSTAINED SILENT READING) ON STUDENTS’ READING MOTIVATION AT ANANDA ISLAMIC SCHOOL

ABSTRACTThe present study will investigate the effect of implementing USSR (Uninterrupted Sustained Silent Reading) program at national plus school Ananda Islamic School. Iinterview and field observation was designed for data collection. To succeed the program, the students freely choose the storybook they like and they would be given special time at school to read during the program. The teacher will show a role model and a value of reading by joining the program of reading books with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and lack of pressure. Reviewing Students’ Vocabulary Mastery By Using Kahoot At Holmesglen Partnering With University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang

The present study investigated the use of Kahoot as the free game-based learning platform which provided the students with ongoing feedback on their learning progresses. Reviewing the students’ vocabulary was the focus of this study. Unlike summative test that tended to have formal assessment, Kahoot provided a learning with engagement and responsive feedback both students and teacher. In term of student’s vocabulary mastery, Kahoot was the learning model of this study. Blended learning was applied technically in this study so that the students’ vocabulary mastery was reviewed and tested through the application of Kahoot accessed by students’ mobile phones. The methodology of this study was based on a questionnaire survey that was conducted to determine the use of Kahoot to the students’ vocabulary mastery. STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS IN ANSWERING LISTENING SECTION OF TOEFL AT NON ENGLISH STUDY PROGRAM OF UPN VETERAN JAKARTA

This research aimed  to find the problems that students did in answering TOEFL especially in listening section. The research used descriptive qualitative approach. For the data collection, it used the instrument is interview.  The subjects of the research were non english department students in seventh grade of FIKES Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. To analyze the data, it was through the techniques: data collection, data display, data reduction, and conclusion drawing.  25 seventh semester students of Nursing Study Program participated in this study selected by using random sampling techniques. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. The results of this research indicate that the difficulties experienced by students based on the the interview are difficultiy in their concentration while listening, difficulty regarding vocabulary meaning, difficulty in catching meaning in long and speed conversation, and difficulty in recognizing unfamiliar topic

THE SHIFTING OF FACE TO FACE LEARNING TO DISTANCE LEARNING DURING THE PANDEMIC COVID-19

 Abstract Using a qualitative research methodology, this study is expected to answer on how students’ responses toward distance learning during the pandemic (Covid-19). Moreover, this study also provided factual data, suggestions and advices on how distance learning implemented. A qualitative research methodology was applied to 30 students of University of Muhammadiyah (UMT) Tangerang after 14 meeting of distance learning using Google Classroom. Questionnaires were distributed online to see how students’ responses toward a distance learning. The findings proved that there were significant impacts to the students’ learning performance such as computation skills, autonomous learner and critical learner. Besides, negative impact arose due to connectivity, compatible devices, basic skill of computation and also student-teacher communication. Keywords: distance learning, students’ learning responses and experience

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui akibat hukum penolakan pengajuan peninjuan kembali terhadap eksekusi terpidana mati Terpidana Pelaku Tindak Pidana Narkotika (Studi Putusan Mahkamah Agung Nomor 145 PK/PID.SUS/2016) dan kesesuaian alasan peninjuan kembali berdasarkan Pasal 263 jo. Pasal 268 KUHAP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif yang bersifat preskriptif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kasus (case approach).sumber penelitian berupa bahan hukum primer dan bahan hukum sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan bahan hukum melalui studi dokumen (library research) dengan teknik analisis bahan hukum berdasarkan metode silogisme melalui pola berpikir deduktif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian alasan pengajuan peninjuan kembali terpidana mati Fredi Budiman tidak berkesesuaian dengan Pasal 263 jo. Pasal 268 KUHAP berdasarkan Novum, Kekhiafan Hakim, dan putusan yang bertentangan, kemudian permasalahan lain mengenai akibat hukum yang ditimbulkan dari penolakan peninjauan kembali adalah pelaksanaan eksekusi mati yang telah berkesesuaian dengan Pasal 270 jo. 271. Flammability, Biodegradability and Mechanical Properties of Bio-Composites Waste Polypropylene/Kenaf Fiber Containing Nano CaCO3 with Diammonium Phosphate

Bio-composites base on waste polypropylene (rPP) and kenaf fibre (KF) using coupling agent acrylic acid (AA), and crosslinker divinylbenzene (DVB) containing nano CaCO3 (nCC) with and without DAP as a mixture fire retardant (FR) was successfully processed in melt. Flammability of bio-composite was horizontally burning tested, according to ASTM D635. To study the nature of its biodegradability, the bio-composites were technically buried in garbage dump land. The tensile strength properties of bio-composites were measured according to ASTM D638 type V. Effect of 20% total weight flame-retardant [nCC+DAP] ratio 7:13 can effectively reduce the burning rate (BR) up to 54% compared to bio-composites without any fire retardant. Biodegradability of bio-composite rPP/DVB/AA/KF/ [nCC+DAP] was examined by burying the bio-composite specimens in the garbage soil during four months. The biodegradability of bio-composite was measured by the losing weight (LW) of bio-composite specimens after burying in the soil for four months, it was found up to 11.82%. Tesis ini membahas tentang Efektivitas organisasi Sekretariat KPU Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti pada pelaksanaan tahapan dan kegiatan Pemilu Legislatif Tahun 2014. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian adalah teori yang dikemukan oleh Steers tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Efektivitas organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, situasi pergantian ataupun kekosongan komisioner KPU Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti pada saat pelaksanaan tahapan dan kegiatan Pemilu Legislatif Tahun 2014 dapat diatasi oleh Sekretariat KPU Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti dengan memanfaatkan faktor karakteristik organisasi yang solid, karakteristik lingkungan yang kondusif di dalam Sekretariat, karakteristik pekerja yang berpengalaman dalam organisasi, serta penerapan praktek manajemen organisasi melalui kedekatan secara emosional yang menimbulkan kerja sama dan tanggung jawab didalam organisasi Sekretariat sehingga seluruh tahapan dan kegiatan Pemilu Legislatif Tahun 2014 terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan
