    In this study, a new ligand [HPEBH=4-Hydroxy-N'-(1-(Pyridine-2-yl) ethylidene) Benzohydrazide)], and it's transition metal complexes with [NiII, CoII, and CuII ] were synthesized.The synthesis of ligand (HPEBH) was carried by the condensation of 1-(Pyridine-2-yl)ethan-1-one with 4-HydroxyBenzohydrazone .Then, the reaction of this ligand with Cobalt (II), Nickel (II), Copper (II) ions were carried out using metal chloride salt by the (2:1) molar ratio, fowr new mononuclear. complexes were obtained which have the formula [M(HPEBH)2] ; M= NiII , CoII, CuII The structures of the ligand and it's complexes were elucidated by FT-IR , U.V.–visible .     Combining convolutional neural networks and slantlet transform for an effective image retrieval scheme

    In the latest years there has been a profound evolution in computer science and technology, which incorporated several fields. Under this evolution, Content Base Image Retrieval (CBIR) is among the image processing field. There are several image retrieval methods that can easily extract feature as a result of the image retrieval methods’ progresses. To the researchers, finding resourceful image retrieval devices has therefore become an extensive area of concern. Image retrieval technique refers to a system used to search and retrieve images from digital images’ huge database. In this paper, the author focuses on recommendation of a fresh method for retrieving image. For multi presentation of image in Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Convolutional Neural Network - Slanlet Transform (CNN-SLT) model uses Slanlet Transform (SLT). The CBIR system was therefore inspected and the outcomes benchmarked. The results clearly illustrate that generally, the recommended technique outdid the rest with accuracy of 89 percent out of the three datasets that were applied in our experiments. This remarkable performance clearly illustrated that the CNN-SLT method worked well for all three datasets, where the previous phase (CNN) and the successive phase (CNN-SLT) harmoniously worked together

    Determination of Attenuation Coefficients of Some Selected Soil Samples by Using Gamma Energy at 0.360 Mev

    The study of attenuation coefficients of various materials is an important part of research in radiation physics, chemistry, human health, and agriculture. In addition, the linear and mass absorption coefficients have a major role in the estimation of absorbed dose use in the medical and radiation dosimetry. In this paper, the liner and mass absorption coefficients, half-value layer, tenth value layer, and mean free path have been determined by performing the experiment of gamma irradiation on soil samples for gamma energy 0.360 MeV using NaI(Tl) detector. Furthermore, the physicochemical properties of the investigated soil samples were measured using standard methods to assess soil quality. Samples of soil were collected from different sites of Aurangabad-India and prepared using standard techniques. The mass attenuation coefficient decreases exponentially with increasing density and confirms the interaction of gamma-ray with different soil samples of various components. The mass absorption coefficient depends on sample density, gamma energy, the chemical composition of the soil, and its physical properties. The experimentally measured values are in good agreement which validates the gamma absorption law. Generally, the absorption coefficients of gamma-ray measured in this study can be used for the determination of gamma-ray interaction with any soil samples. The study has practical importance to know the nature of the soil to be used in agriculture and construction purposes

    Thermal comfort and energy efficiency in Yemeni houses.

    The question posed in this thesis is: by incorporate traditional architecture forms and design features, can new housing provide thermal comfort without the need for excessive use of air- conditioning as is the case in current new building methods and designs. There has been some evidence that the new type of housing being built in the hot areas in Yemen has inherently produced unacceptable comfort conditions resulting in a greater use of air conditioning while the traditional housing naturally provided more comfortable conditions and did not need to use air conditioning. This thesis investigated the effect of different building materials on both human comfort and energy consumption in domestic buildings in the Yemen with special reference to the City of Seiyun. The methodology used in this thesis was divided into two parts. The first part dealt with a questionnaire and building monitoring relating to the perceived thermal comfort inside three types of houses and the use of fans and/or air conditioning to maintain thermal comfort. Based on the results of this survey a computer model was calibrated and used to carry out a parametric study into the choice of building materials and architectural design to optimise the design of housing to minimise the use of air conditioning. The results of the survey indicated that occupants were more dissatisfied with their internal environment in housing constructed of concrete than in traditional housing and also they used a significant amount of air conditioning to maintain thermal comfort. The main conclusion to be drawn from this work was that it was possible to design new housing in such a way so as to reduce the demand for air conditioning and at the same time provide thermal comfort and inhabitant satisfaction with building appearance. Also one of the most effective design features was the use of a courtyard with a high thermal mass

     في الأيام الأخيرة ، ظهرت مجموعة متنوعة من الأدوات لأغراض أداء التنقيب عن البيانات التعليمية (EDM). تظهر أنظمة التعليم الحالية أن هناك عدة عوامل تؤثر على أداء الطلاب. أولاً وقبل كل شيء ، يحتاج الطلاب إلى الدافع من أجل التعلم وهذا الدافع  يؤدي إلى نجاحهم. يعد التنبؤ بأداء الطلاب مجالًا مهمًا للبحث في استخراج البيانات التعليمية ، لا سيما من خلال تطبيق تقنيات التنقيب عن البيانات المختلفة. تركز غالبية أبحاث EDM على خوارزميات التنبؤ. يقدم العمل الحالي مراجعة لخوارزميات التنقيب في البيانات والأدوات التي تم تبنيها في  EDM . كما يوفر نظرة ثاقبة للخوارزميات وأدوات التنقيب عن البيانات القوية الأكثر استخدامًا في التنبؤ بأداء الطلاب . سيكون هذا مفيدًا بشكل أساسي للمعلمين والمرشدين والمؤسسات ، مما يزيد من مستويات الطلاب الدراسية.Abstract In recent days, a wide variety of tools have appeared for performing educational data mining (EDM) . The current education systems show that there are several factors affecting students’ performances. First and foremost, students need motivation in order to learn  and this  motivation results into their success.  The prediction of student performances is an important field of research in Educational Data Mining, particularly through the application of different data mining techniques. The majority of EDM research focuses on prediction algorithms. The current work presents a review of the data mining predicting algorithms and tools that have been adopted in EDM. It also provides insight into the algorithms and powerful data mining tools that most widely used in student performance prediction. This will mainly be of use for  educators, instructors and institutions, increasing the students’ levels of study
