A Correlational Study Examining the Relationship Between Restorative Practices and School Climate in Selected Elementary Schools in a Large Mid-Atlantic Urban School District
Punitive consequences are extensively utilized when dealing with school discipline. Recently, positive approaches to discipline, such as restorative practices, have been implemented in many schools to address school discipline concerns and to improve school climate. Restorative practices is a philosophy that focuses on building positive relationships by changing mindsets. This study took place in a large mid-atlantic urban school district. The goal of the study was to determine the relationship between restorative practices and school climate from the perspectives of school staff members who utilize restorative practices in their schools. A quantitative correlational research design was utilized for this study to examine the relationship between restorative practices and school climate. Findings from this study indicated a strong positive correlation between measures of restorative practice and school climate
Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography of the Optic Disc; an Overview.
Different diseases of the optic disc may be caused by or lead to abnormal vasculature at the optic nerve head. Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a novel technology that provides high resolution mapping of the retinal and optic disc vessels. Recent studies have shown the ability of OCTA to visualize vascular abnormalities in different optic neuropathies. In addition, quantified OCTA measurements were found promising for differentiating optic neuropathies from healthy eyes
Regulasi Media Di Indonesia (Tinjauan UU Pers Dan UU Penyiaran)
;

Media is one of the important institutions of the nation. To carry out the role and functions of the correct media, the media must apply the rules in a professional manner. The behavior of the media can not be separated from the interests of the parties related to the media system. In general, the press is all over the media industry, both print and electronic. But in particular, the notion of the press is the print media (printed media). Thus, the Press Law applies in general to the entire media industry, and in particular for the print media. Rule of law can be set by the government (such as the Press Law); or code of conduct established by the journalist or professional organizations (such as the Code of Ethics of Journalism). Regulation of the press in Indonesia is regulated by Law No. 40 of 1999 on the Press. To support the implementation of the Law on the Press, Press Council set Journalistic Code of Ethics (KEJ). While the broadcast media regulations established by Act No. 32 of 2002 on Broadcasting. As an elaboration of the Broadcasting Act, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) set Broadcasting Code of Conduct (P3) as the limit of making the broadcast program; and the Broadcasting Standards Program (SPS) as the limit in the broadcast program delivery. the magnitude of society\u27s expectations of the role of the media to participate in solving the problems of the nation. Embodiments of the normative function of media is largely determined by the professionalism of the media; while the media professionalism can be seen from the extent to which the behavior of the media uphold the rules and codes of conduct applicable in Indonesian media.

Three-dimensional unsteady flow calculations in an advanced gas generator turbine
This paper deals with the application of a three-dimensional, unsteady Navier-Stokes code for predicting the unsteady flow in a single stage of an advanced gas generator turbine. The numerical method solves the three-dimensional thin-layer Navier-Stokes equations, using a system of overlaid grids, which allow for relative motion between the rotor and stator airfoils. Results in the form of time averaged pressures and pressure amplitudes on the airfoil surfaces will be shown. In addition, instantaneous contours of pressure, Mach number, etc. will be presented in order to provide a greater understanding of the inviscid as well as the viscous aspects of the flowfield. Also, relevant secondary flow features such as cross-plane velocity vectors and total pressure contours will be presented. Prior work in two-dimensions has indicated that for the advanced designs, the unsteady interactions can play a significant role in turbine performance. These interactions affect not only the stage efficiency but can substantially alter the time-averaged features of the flow. This work is a natural extension of the work done in two-dimensions and hopes to address some of the issues raised by the two-dimensional calculations. These calculations are being performed as an integral part of an actual design process and demonstrate the value of unsteady rotor-stator interaction calculations in the design of turbomachines
Turbomachinery design and tonal acoustics computations
The objective of this research was two-fold. The first objective was to complete the three-dimensional unsteady calculations of the flow through a new transonic turbine and study the effects of secondary flows due to the hub and casing, tip clearance vortices, and the inherent three-dimensional mixing of the flow. It should be noted that this turbine was and is still in the design phase and the results of the calculations have formed an integral part of the design process. The second objective of this proposal was to evaluate the capability of rotor-stator interaction codes to calculate tonal acoustics
Clues from Crouzon: Insights into the potential role of growth factors in the pathogenesis of myelinated retinal nerve fibers.
PurposeWe present a case of bilateral extensive peripapillary myelinated retinal nerve fibers (MRNF) in an individual with Crouzon syndrome, an inherited form of craniosynostosis caused by overactivation of fibroblast growth factor receptor 2. As a secondary aim, we examine the utility of optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography for visualization of peripapillary vasculature obscured by myelination on other imaging modalities.MethodsA 24-year-old woman with Crouzon syndrome was evaluated for suspected optic neuritis in the right eye.ResultsFunduscopic examination and photography revealed the incidental finding of bilateral extensive peripapillary MRNF. OCT angiography provided excellent visualization of peripapillary retinal vessels, which were partially obscured by myelination on other imaging modalities.ConclusionsThis association of Crouzon syndrome with bilateral peripapillary MRNF may lend insight into the developmental control of optic nerve myelination, the pathogenesis of MRNF, and the potential role of growth factors in these processes. Further, OCT angiography allowed for excellent blood vessel visualization in this case of MRNF
Damage Characterization of Polypropylene Honeycomb Sandwich Panels Subjected to Low-Velocity Impact
The post-test deformation and failures of sandwich composites may involve complex interactions between various failure
mechanisms. In this study, the extent of impact damages and response of the thermoplastic honeycomb sandwich are analysed
through energy profile diagrams and associated load history curves. The degree of the postimpact damages of the sandwich is
further characterized using an optical surfaces metrology analysis. The thickness of the honeycomb was found to influence the
extent of the damage which occurred following the low-velocity impact. Thicker core was able to sustain a higher load as well as
the energy absorption before total failure occurred
