The issue of social crowdfunding has been widely discussed in various countries. In Indonesia, social crowdfunding media platforms are frequently used for social activities such as the donation for the victims of natural disasters or donation for people who suffer from financial deficiency. However, empirical research on social crowdfunding is finite. Even though the platform has been extensively used by the society, the lack of interest towards study in social crowdfunding is evident due to the obscureness of government regulations regarding the fundraising media. Considering the enormous contribution of social crowdfunding media for the people in need, the enthusiasm of the society to participate in the donation activities thus need to be elevated. This study aims to determine the degree of oneโ€™s motivation in trying to try to donate through social crowdfunding media. The data of this research was collected using survey method with a total of 300 respondents

The German Language is one of the second foreign language lessons that students learn in Senior high school and Madrasah Aliyah (MA). There are four necessary language skills in learning German, namely listening (Hรถren), speaking (Sprechen), reading (Lesen) and writing (Schreiben). Speaking (Sprechen) is one of the required skills that should be mastered by the students because with speaking skills students can convey their desires, ideas and opinions verbally. However, in practice students still face difficulties in speaking German. Therefore, paper wayang media is developed in order to overcome these difficulties. Paper wayang media is a learning media that was built from paper in the form of cartoons or real pictures with sticks to be moved. The research aims to build, implement paper wayang learning media in German speaking lessons as well as to know the opinions of the teacher and students about the usage of paper wayang media learning media in the class. The research method is Research and Development method. Researchers involved the teacher and students of XI-MIPA I SMA PGII 2 Bandung as respondents that give its evaluation of the developed product in the form of paper wayang. The development process of paper wayang media consisted of information gathering, planning, preliminary form development, product testing and product revision. The result of the research is eight wayang characters. The eight wayang characters consisted of two teenage boys, two men, two teenage girls and two women. Paper wayang have simple mechanisms to use and have swappable outfits, which can be adjusted to the necessary theme. The product assessment is carried out using the Likert scale through questionnaires distributed to the teacher and students. The teacher acts as a media and material expert giving an assessment of 97.77% (very good) on the paper wayang and gives an assessment of 97.50% (very Good) on the material used. The average assessment of paper wayang from the students is 96.42% (very good). Based on the results, it could be concluded that paper wayang is well received by the teachers and students as supporting media in learning to speak German in the class. These paper wayang media can still be better developed

The hydrological process that occurs in a watershed is related to erosion process, sediment transport and downstream deposition. Land use changes and watershed management practices will also affect erosion and sedimentation. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of flowrate, suspended load concentration (suspended load), and floating sediment discharge and correlation of floated sediment discharge and flowrate at the Dataโ€™ River. Measuring river characteristics is done by measuring river water flow and river slope. Sediment collection floated with EWI (equal with incerentment) method. Laboratory analysis was carried out by calculating the amount of flow discharge, sediment concentration, and sediment discharge. The results showed the lowest amount of flow discharge occurred on 17/12/2016 with a value of 0.271 m3/s with a floating sediment concentration of 17.167 mg / L, and the sediment discharge floated at 0.402 tons/day. The correlation between flow discharge and floating sediment discharge using a sccatter diagram shows that the determination value R2 is 0.9754 with the equation y = 0.1x + 0.4355

ABSTRACT In the framework of liberalized deregulated electricity market, dynamic competitive environment exists between wholesale and retail dealers for energy supplying and management. Smart Grids topology in form of energy management has forced power supplying agencies to become globally competitive. Demand Response (DR) Programs in context with smart energy network have influenced prosumers and consumers towards it. In this paper Fair Emergency Demand Response Program (FEDRP) is integrated for managing the loads intelligently by using the platform of Smart Grids for Residential Setup. The paper also provides detailed modeling and analysis of respective demands of residential consumers in relation with economic load model for FEDRP. Due to increased customer's partaking in this program the load on the utility is reduced and managed intelligently during emergency hours by providing fair and attractive incentives to residential clients, thus shifting peak load to off peak hours. The numerical and graphical results are matched for intelligent energy management scenario

Background: Many patients with COVID-19 have been treated with plasma containing anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of convalescent plasma therapy in patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19. Methods: This randomised, controlled, open-label, platform trial (Randomised Evaluation of COVID-19 Therapy [RECOVERY]) is assessing several possible treatments in patients hospitalised with COVID-19 in the UK. The trial is underway at 177 NHS hospitals from across the UK. Eligible and consenting patients were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive either usual care alone (usual care group) or usual care plus high-titre convalescent plasma (convalescent plasma group). The primary outcome was 28-day mortality, analysed on an intention-to-treat basis. The trial is registered with ISRCTN, 50189673, and ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04381936. Findings: Between May 28, 2020, and Jan 15, 2021, 11558 (71%) of 16287 patients enrolled in RECOVERY were eligible to receive convalescent plasma and were assigned to either the convalescent plasma group or the usual care group. There was no significant difference in 28-day mortality between the two groups: 1399 (24%) of 5795 patients in the convalescent plasma group and 1408 (24%) of 5763 patients in the usual care group died within 28 days (rate ratio 1ยท00, 95% CI 0ยท93โ€“1ยท07; p=0ยท95). The 28-day mortality rate ratio was similar in all prespecified subgroups of patients, including in those patients without detectable SARS-CoV-2 antibodies at randomisation. Allocation to convalescent plasma had no significant effect on the proportion of patients discharged from hospital within 28 days (3832 [66%] patients in the convalescent plasma group vs 3822 [66%] patients in the usual care group; rate ratio 0ยท99, 95% CI 0ยท94โ€“1ยท03; p=0ยท57). Among those not on invasive mechanical ventilation at randomisation, there was no significant difference in the proportion of patients meeting the composite endpoint of progression to invasive mechanical ventilation or death (1568 [29%] of 5493 patients in the convalescent plasma group vs 1568 [29%] of 5448 patients in the usual care group; rate ratio 0ยท99, 95% CI 0ยท93โ€“1ยท05; p=0ยท79). Interpretation: In patients hospitalised with COVID-19, high-titre convalescent plasma did not improve survival or other prespecified clinical outcomes. Background: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of tocilizumab in adult patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 with both hypoxia and systemic inflammation. Methods: This randomised, controlled, open-label, platform trial (Randomised Evaluation of COVID-19 Therapy [RECOVERY]), is assessing several possible treatments in patients hospitalised with COVID-19 in the UK. Those trial participants with hypoxia (oxygen saturation <92% on air or requiring oxygen therapy) and evidence of systemic inflammation (C-reactive protein โ‰ฅ75 mg/L) were eligible for random assignment in a 1:1 ratio to usual standard of care alone versus usual standard of care plus tocilizumab at a dose of 400 mgโ€“800 mg (depending on weight) given intravenously. A second dose could be given 12โ€“24 h later if the patient's condition had not improved. The primary outcome was 28-day mortality, assessed in the intention-to-treat population. The trial is registered with ISRCTN (50189673) and ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04381936). Findings: Between April 23, 2020, and Jan 24, 2021, 4116 adults of 21โ€ˆ550 patients enrolled into the RECOVERY trial were included in the assessment of tocilizumab, including 3385 (82%) patients receiving systemic corticosteroids. Overall, 621 (31%) of the 2022 patients allocated tocilizumab and 729 (35%) of the 2094 patients allocated to usual care died within 28 days (rate ratio 0ยท85; 95% CI 0ยท76โ€“0ยท94; p=0ยท0028). Consistent results were seen in all prespecified subgroups of patients, including those receiving systemic corticosteroids. Patients allocated to tocilizumab were more likely to be discharged from hospital within 28 days (57% vs 50%; rate ratio 1ยท22; 1ยท12โ€“1ยท33; p<0ยท0001). Among those not receiving invasive mechanical ventilation at baseline, patients allocated tocilizumab were less likely to reach the composite endpoint of invasive mechanical ventilation or death (35% vs 42%; risk ratio 0ยท84; 95% CI 0ยท77โ€“0ยท92; p<0ยท0001). Interpretation: In hospitalised COVID-19 patients with hypoxia and systemic inflammation, tocilizumab improved survival and other clinical outcomes. These benefits were seen regardless of the amount of respiratory support and were additional to the benefits of systemic corticosteroids.
