This survey has evaluated the top 5 local universities in Malaysia, which are Universiti Malaya (UM), UniversitiKebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM), UniversitiSains Malaysia (USM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The evaluation of the usability factor involved were ease of use, navigation, graphics, layout, text and font size. This research is very important, considering the lack of local academic writings regarding homepage usability that are being produced as a guide in the creation of websites. Interview sessions with local professional webpage designers were carried out to get their views, visions and aspirations in webpage designs for universities. The results have been compared in order to fulfil the research objective. The data collection was acquired verbally as well as visually. The treasures inherited by Malays are the jawi texts that have been used for many years. The history of its use along with the arrival of Islam goes beyond hundreds of years. Historical discovery is an important proof of how jawi texts were used in many writing and art. Jawi's defense was finally collapsed and threatened when there was a 1963 Akta Bahasa which stipulated Rumi's writing into Malay, the purity of Jawi writing should be done to see this jawi writing continue to breathe. The use in the design field is also seen as not widely used by jawi calligraphy itself, also the jawi calligraphy symbols are not widely used as identity logos in companies in Malaysia despite the fact that the company belongs to the Malays themselves. As designers especially bumiputras there are lack of the master or practicer on jawi letters, Where jawi writing and jawi calligraphy are only exposed at school through several programs, including the J-QAF program. In the main objective of this study, improvement to facilitate the comprehension of jawi characters in recognizing jawi letters is that this typographic anatomical system is structured yet flexible system that able to help designer to achieve coherency in organizing jawi typeface. The anatomy forms the great foundation on the typeface layout. This is important to designer espeacially typographer or calligrapher to use it in every project to ensure that they are using the same level of quality and displaying consistenly of the end result in every each of jawi typeface exploration

Monoprint is part of the technique that well established in printmaking. The characteristic and categorization of monoprint is easily recognized as a single output and different with the edition that usually created through other medium such as silkscreen, etching, engraving and others. Based from the current and previous studies that related with characteristic and categorization of monoprint, which created by local visual artists in Malaysia need more further detail information and introduction compared to the other develop countries that were established their monoprint medium. Therefore, the objective of this research is to study characteristic of monoprint artwork that explore by printmaker artists in Malaysia and to categorize the selected artworks, in order to recognize the monoprint artwork through their characteristic. This study will begin by selected artworks that show the specific monoprint characteristic that explore by printmaker artists in Malaysia. This study will be conducted by several of monoprint characteristic and categorization from experts. The results of the assessment there were 11 categorizations from two main monoprint characteristic which is creative expression and innovation technique. This study will deliver a proper instruction, guideline, knowledge, and differentiate in between edition and single expression through monoprint. This study has shown that local artist consists of different background and that local artists tried to come out with new approach and dimension in produced monoprint artworks in Malaysi

This research has intended to identify the importance of the usability factor in the creation of a mobile application. Basically, when it comes to directory information, most of the tourists use a conventional method, such as printed maps, traveling books, online or traveling websites and also travel agents. From my perspective and with support from the field research, language impediments and directory issues have been the most common problems in this research. While Smartphone’s and apps are, increasingly, being used nowadays, there are not sufficient studies addressing the usability of smartphone user interfaces or applications that are focused for tourist guides. This paper describes the design and evaluation process of the user interface of a smartphone application designed to be a guide or directory for tourists. Two successive versions of the user interfaces were tested with different groups. The results and findings from two rounds of usability tests led to recommendations regarding an inclusive design and the designing of apps that are useful for tourists and which may be a useful contribution to the broader community when designing interfaces for smartphones. Overall, the users enjoy using the new application that is more user friendly and easier to use and navigate with. The findings can be used as a reference to set certain standards in mobile application design and creation, and also to be used for academic benefit

Monoprint means the producing a single print of an image. It is possible with other forms of printmaking, such as etching, engraving, silkscreen, lithography and lino printing that producing an edition of identical images. A monoprint is an individual impression, simplest and at least modified form of printmaking; such as has great appeal. This study will begin by observation and visual artwork analysis from selected local monoprint artworks that show the specific monoprint characteristic by experts. The results of the assessment there were 11 identifications from two main monoprint characteristic which is creative expression and innovation technique. This research concluded that the predominant view of monoprint characteristic and recognize of selected local artworks has facilitated to establish how monoprint medium have been explored and construct artistic artworks. It is recommended that identify the component of monoprint artworks made or inspired by local artists and artists also have to improve in producing monoprint artworks that consistently benefit to the art community and educational institutions

The aim of this research was to verify the Malaysian version of Rathus assertiveness as a drug prevention scale in secondary students. The current research articipants were 211 secondary students in Johor, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. An exploratory factor analysis with principal axis factoring and varimax rotation was performed for the initial analysis. After the eigenvalue emerged, the data was suppressed to .30 to display the factor loading. The value of commonalities and factor loading was considered to frame and locate the items in the scale structure. Furthermore, the reliability of the scale was tested through Cronbach's alpha. The result showed that nine factors emerged, explaining 58.721% of the variance. Four of the 30 items were eliminated from the analysis because they had commonalities below the threshold. The structure of the scale was as follows: seven items in the first factor, four items in the second factor, four items in the third factor, two items in the fourth factor, two items in the fifth factor, one item in the sixth factor, two items in the seventh factor, two items in the eight factors, and one item in the ninth factor. Furthermore, the reliability of the scale was .748. Meaning that the scale was internally consistent in measuring the secondary student`s assertiveness in drug education

Risk prediction model estimate the risk of emerging upcoming outcomes for individual based on severalunderlying characteristics. In welding process, welders have the high risk to expose with the toxicant element whichcan harm the neuropsychological of a welder. This proposed study will develop a prediction model onneurobehavioral deterioration risk of welders. In order to get the intensity of heavy metal exposure of the welders, airborne personal monitoring and toenail biomarker test will be carried out. Meanwhile, for the neurotoxicityassessment, the workers will undergo the neurobehavioral core test battery and questionnaire survey to identify theneurobehavioral score level. Detail statistical analysis between both assessment results will be carried out fordevelopment of prediction model based on artificial neural network. After validation test, the developed artificialneural network prediction model will be applied to another metal base industry for verification purpose. Length ofabstract can be proportional to the length of the article. Through this study, it is expected neurobehavioral riskprediction model on detection on early symptoms of neurobehavioral deterioration will be developed This studycontribute to better understanding on the effects of heavy metals exposure, especially to central nervous systemsamong welder
