Catheter-associated urinary tract infection: why do not we control this adverse event?
Objective: To identify factors related to the occurrence of urinary tract infection associated with urinary catheter use. Method: A longitudinal, retrospective cohort study carried out by analyzing the electronic medical records of patients admitted to an intensive care unit of a high-complexity hospital from July 2016 to June 2017. Demographic and clinical data were analyzed by descriptive and analytical analysis. Results: The incidence density of urinary tract infection related to urinary catheter use was 4.8 per 1000 catheters/day, the majority (80.6%) with no indication for catheter use, and there was no prescription for insertion and/or maintenance in 86.7%. The mean time between catheter insertion and infection diagnosis was 11.3 ± 6.3 days (6 to 28 days). Statistically significant factors (p < 0.001) related to urinary infection linked to catheter use were hospitalization time in the unit (16.7 ± 9 days), catheter permanence time (12.7 ± 6.9 days), and the use of antimicrobials in the intensive care unit (8.6 ± 6.3 days). Conclusion: The association of indication absence and the record of the need for maintenance possibly potentiated the occurrence of urinary tract infection associated to catheter use.Objetivo: Identificar fatores relacionados à ocorrência de infecção do trato urinário associada ao uso do cateter vesical. Stream Smarter, Not Harder: A Data-Driven Solution based on Recommendation Systems for Streaming Platforms through Power BI
Project Work presented as the partial requirement for obtaining a Master's degree in Data Science and Advanced Analytics, specialization in Business AnalyticsStreaming video platforms have gained remarkable popularity in recent years, offering users affordable access to a vast variety of entertainment content. Platforms such as Netflix and Spotify have fundamentally transformed the consumption of digital content, from films and TV programmes to music and podcasts, allowing instant access without the need for lengthy downloads, often through a simple subscription fee or freemium model. This revolution has reshaped the entertainment industry, establishing a dynamic global distribution channel that quickly connected creators to a massive audience. Nevertheless, the abundance of competitors and a large volume of content competing for viewers' attention has forced industry leaders to re-evaluate their content recommendation strategies. To battle for their market share in this competitive environment, these industry giants must leverage the power of data-driven insights through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in order to select appealing content recommendations and ultimately foster deeper engagement. Therefore, the goal of this project was to create a complete Business Intelligence solution using the data of four streaming platforms and deliver an effective content-based recommendation system to boost audience level. Therefore, aimed of achieving this objective, a recommendation algorithm was applied to the different datasets and eight dashboards were created to display powerful insights of the four most popular streaming platforms worldwide

Contribution of green turtles Chelonia mydas to total herbivore biomass in shallow tropical habitats of oceanic islands
Green turtles are megaherbivores with a key role in the dynamics of tropical seagrass meadows, but little is known about their relevance as herbivores in tropical reef habitats. We conducted underwater censuses of green turtles, herbivorous fishes and sea urchins in two distinct tropical regions: Fernando de Noronha (Western Atlantic Ocean) and the Hawaiian Archipelago (Central Pacific Ocean), to assess the contribution of green turtles to the total herbivore biomass in shallow reef habitats of tropical oceanic islands. Juvenile green turtles ranging 40-60 cm were observed at most of the surveyed sites, and hence, could be considered typical components of the shallow reef fauna of tropical oceanic islands. Furthermore, they were usually one of the most abundant species of roving herbivores in many of the sites surveyed. However, the biomass of green turtles was usually much lower than the aggregated biomass of fishes or sea urchins, which usually constituted most of the total herbivore biomass. Green turtles made a major contribution to the total herbivore biomass only in sheltered sites with low rugosity, low coral cover and high algal cover. Further investigation on the trophic redundancy between herbivores is required to assess the actual relevance of green turtles in reef ecosystems of oceanic islands, compared to herbivorous fishes and sea urchins, because different herbivores may target different algal resources and complementarity may be needed to maintain ecosystem functioning across large, naturally varied reefscapes

MUSIC THERAPY AMONG THE ELDERLY: WHAT SOCIAL WORKERS NEED TO KNOW
The purpose of this study was to gain a better understanding of music therapy among the elderly. This qualitative study utilized interviews as a means to extract themes from the experiences of music therapists who have provided music therapy to the elderly. Results were transcribed to written form. Qualitative analysis procedures were followed to identify themes and subthemes. Areas of particular interest to the social work profession were the emotional, social, physical, and mental benefits and challenges of music therapy among the elderly. Through the guidance of systems theory and the concept of holism, spiritual benefits and challenges were also introduced
