    Implementasi Aqidah Tauhid Dalam Pembelajaran IPA Fisika Dengan Metode Kooperatif Jigsaw Dan Stad Ditinjau Dari Motivasi Belajar Dan Karakter Siswa

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh implentasi pembelajaran IPA Fisikadengan metode kooperatuf Jigsaw dan STAD, motivasi belajar dan karakter siswa terhadap prestasibelajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Sampelpenelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling sebanyak dua kelas. Uji hipotesispenelitian menggunakan anava tiga jalan dengan desain faktorial 2x2x2. Dari hasil penelitian dapatdisimpulkan bahwa: (1) ada pengaruh implementasi aqidah tauhid dalam pembelajaran IPA Fisikadengan metode kooperatif Jigsaw dan STAD terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa, metode Jigsawlebih baik daripada metode STAD; (2) ada pengaruh motivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah terhadapprestasi belajar kognitif siswa, motivasi tinggi lebih baik daripada motivasi rendah; (3) ada pengaruhkarakter siswa tinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa, karakter tinggi lebih baikdaripada karakter rendah; (4) ada interaksi antara metode kooperatif Jigsaw dan STAD denganmotivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa; (5) tidak ada interaksi antara metodekooperatif Jigsaw dan STAD dengan karakter siswa terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa; (6) tidakada interaksi motivasi belajar dengan karakter siswa terhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa; (7) tidakada interaksi antara metode kooperatif Jigsaw dan STAD, motivasi belajar dan karakter siswaterhadap prestasi belajar kognitif siswa

    Tarekat Naqshabandiyyah Khalidiyyah in Malaysia: a Study on the Leadership of Haji Ishaq Bin Muhammad Arif

    : The Tarekat Naqshabandiyyah Khalidiyyah lead by Haji Ishaq has many followers and is also known especially among other tarekat followers in Malaysia. This article is navigating through the leadership of Haji Ishaq Bin Muhammad Arif, the emergence of tarekat Naqshabandiyyah Khalidiyyah he lead and its evolution in Malaysia. Beside the data collected through the manuscript written by Haji Ishaq, his murids works were also studied. Field observations were also performed at several sites that are identified to be the centers of the movement. Also, some senior students of Haji Ishaq were interviewed to strengthen the arguments of the manuscript data. This study had discovered that tarekat Naqshabandiyyah Khalidiyyah lead by Haji Ishaq was large group with many followers, made up of diverse backgrounds, including academicians and professionals. The power of this group is reflected in the extensive network of centers that are located in several states in Malaysia

    Factors Associated with Depression among University Students in Malaysia: A Cross-sectional Study

    Depression is a recurrent mental health problem among younger demographics, and university students are particularly susceptible owing to stress, workload and independent living, amongst other factors.  This study explores the prevalence of depression and the factors influencing depression among university students in Malaysia. This cross-sectional study involved 1,023 university students (response rate 90.4%). Depression was assessed using the Centre for Epidemiological Studies Short Depression Scale (CESD -10). Binary logistic regression was used to determine predictors of depression based on sociodemographic, physiological, lifestyle, and health characteristics. Approximately 30% of respondents experienced depression, and 4.4% of this category suffered severe depression. This study demonstrates that instances of depression were 2.52 times higher (95% CI: 1.71-3.71) in second year students compared to first year students, and 1.63 times higher (95% CI: 1.08-2.45) in students staying outside campus compared to students staying inside campus. Students from poor, not well-off, and quite well-off family background had 15.26 (95% CI: 2.77-84.88), 4.85 (95% CI: 1.01-23.34) and 5.62 times (95% CI: 1.16-27.25) higher chance for depression than wealthier students, respectively. Students with mild, moderate, and severe sleeping problems were 2.50 times (95% CI: 1.61-3.88), 3.34 times (95% CI: 2.18-5.11), and 3.66 times (95% CI: 1. 93 -6. 94) more likely to be depressed than those without sleeping problem, respectively. Students with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) were 1.42 times higher (95% CI: 1.07-2.56) to suffer from depression. This study concludes that higher education institutions need to pay special attention to the mental health of those students especially those in their second year, living off campus, from lower economic backgrounds, with sleeping problem, or suffering PTSD

    Modeling and simulation of pedestrian movement planning around corners

    Owing to the complexity of behavioral dynamics and mechanisms associated with turning maneuvers, capturing pedestrian movements around corners in a mathematical model is a challenging task. In this study, minimum jerk and one-thirds power law concepts, which have been initially applied in neurosciences and brain research domains, were utilized in combination to model pedestrian movement planning around bends. Simulation outputs explained that the proposed model could realistically represent the behavioral characteristics of pedestrians walking through bends. Comparison of modeled trajectories with empirical data demonstrated that the accuracy of the model could further be improved by using appropriate parameters in the one-thirds power law equation. Sensitivity analysis explained that, although the paths were not sensitive to the boundary conditions, speed and acceleration profiles could be remarkably varied depending on boundary conditions. Further, the applicability of the proposed model to estimate trajectories of pedestrians negotiating bends under different entry, intermediate, and exit conditions was also identified.     Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation simulation-based training: methods, drawbacks and a novel solution

    Introduction: Patients under the error-prone and complication-burdened extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) are looked after by a highly trained, multidisciplinary team. Simulation-based training (SBT) affords ECMO centers the opportunity to equip practitioners with the technical dexterity required to manage emergencies. The aim of this article is to review ECMO SBT activities and technology followed by a novel solution to current challenges. ECMO simulation: The commonly-used simulation approach is easy-to-build as it requires a functioning ECMO machine and an altered circuit. Complications are simulated through manual circuit manipulations. However, scenario diversity is limited and often lacks physiological and/or mechanical authenticity. It is also expensive to continuously operate due to the consumption of highly specialized equipment. Technological aid: Commercial extensions can be added to enable remote control and to automate circuit manipulation, but do not improve on the realism or cost-effectiveness. A modular ECMO simulator: To address those drawbacks, we are developing a standalone modular ECMO simulator that employs affordable technology for high-fidelity simulation.Peer reviewe

    We point out that the cross-section for the process e+ee+eτ+τe^+ e^- \to e^+ e^- \tau^+ \tau^- at LEP is large enough to allow for a study of the anomalous electromagnetic couplings of the τ\tau lepton. We show that the present bounds on the magnetic dipole moment can be improved and that competitive bounds can be obtained for the electric dipole moment using the data taken from 1992 to 1994.     Sustainable intensification of aquaculture value chains between Asia and Europe: A framework for understanding impacts and challenges

    Sustainable intensification (SI) is defined and interpreted in terms of a framework to support production of farmed aquatic animals in Asia and their trade with Europe. A novel holistic perspective to value chain analysis, informed by a range of sustainability tools, is used to explain the dynamic in the trade that is having significant impacts on livelihoods in both regions. The origins of SI in agriculture are first described and their congruence with aquaculture clarified. Asian aquaculture systems, based on their emergent properties, are then located within a SI framework considering possible boundaries (enterprise, zone or whole value chain). The implications of conventional intensification, and alternatives are explored with reference to specific examples and impacts on the local and global environment, human and aquatic animal health and welfare. The challenges to sustainability of such value chains and implications for their governance, food culture and consumer habits are considered. Local consumption of seafood in Asia is found to be a major driver of growth and alternative markets for exports regionally and in Low and Medium income countries (LMIC) are likely to impact on employment and power in the value chain between Europe and Asia. The benefits of viewing farmed seafood as part of broader food landscapes are identified in the analysis, as is a shift in the focus from volume to value in terms of goal setting. More holistic perspectives of sustainability also emerge as necessary to describe and interpret global value chains rather than limited reductionist, production- orientated views. A diversity of trends in the development of farmed seafood is identified in contrast to any simplistic move to intensification, likely informed by economic, environmental and social factors in producer and consumer countries.  Statement of relevance  Global imbalances in production and consumption of farmed seafood are stimulating trade between Asia and Europe. The dynamic of global value chains around this emergent trade and their alignment with broader sustainability criteria, as applied to sustainable intensification of food production, are highly relevant to global food security

    Colonization Density of the Upper Respiratory Tract as a Predictor of Pneumonia-Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pneumocystis jirovecii.

    Background. There is limited information on the association between colonization density of upper respiratory tract colonizers and pathogen-specific pneumonia. We assessed this association for Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pneumocystis jirovecii. Methods. In 7 low- and middle-income countries, nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swabs from children with severe pneumonia and age-frequency matched community controls were tested using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Differences in median colonization density were evaluated using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test. Density cutoffs were determined using receiver operating characteristic curves. Cases with a pathogen identified from lung aspirate culture or PCR, pleural fluid culture or PCR, blood culture, and immunofluorescence for P. jirovecii defined microbiologically confirmed cases for the given pathogens. Results. Higher densities of H. influenzae were observed in both microbiologically confirmed cases and chest radiograph (CXR)–positive cases compared to controls. Staphylococcus aureus and P. jirovecii had higher densities in CXR-positive cases vs controls. A 5.9 log10 copies/mL density cutoff for H. influenzae yielded 86% sensitivity and 77% specificity for detecting microbiologically confirmed cases; however, densities overlapped between cases and controls and positive predictive values were poor (\u3c3%). Informative density cutoffs were not found for S. aureus and M. catarrhalis, and a lack of confirmed case data limited the cutoff identification for P. jirovecii. Conclusions. There is evidence for an association between H. influenzaecolonization density and H. influenzae–confirmed pneumonia in children; the association may be particularly informative in epidemiologic studies. Colonization densities of M. catarrhalis, S. aureus, and P. jirovecii are unlikely to be of diagnostic value in clinical settings

    Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is one of the earliest non-conventional machining in order to manufacture very accurate 3-D complex components on any electrically conductive materials. In die-sinking EDM, a pulse discharge occurs in a small spark gap between electrically conductive workpiece and electrode in dielectric medium. This paper proposed a new integrated control system using Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC) for Die-sinking EDM in order to enhance Material Removal Rate (MRR). The MRR result of EDM-PSoC system is higher than EDM-Ben Fleming system due to the effect off high speed processing data analysis using PID algorithm in PSoC microcontroller and leads to improving system efficiency 41%

    Tuberculous Peritonitis Presenting Acute Recurrent Pancreatitis

    Tuberculosis (TB), one of the oldest diseases known to affect humans, is a major cause of death worldwide. TB is still a major problem in Indonesia. This disease, which is caused by bacteria of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis, usually affects the lungs, although other organs are involved in up to one- third of cases. Approximately 95% cases of TB and 98% death because of TB occur in developing country. Gastrointestinal tuberculosis is uncommon, making up 3.5% of extrapulmonary cases in the United States. This kind of TB may involve gastrointestinal tract, peritoneal, lymph nodes, or solid intraabdominal organs (viscera). A 17 years old male admitted to hospital with TB peritonitis presenting unusual clinical manifestation. At the first admission patients was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis based on elevation of amylase and lipase level up to 285 and 2,046 U/L and after finishing further examination, patients suffered from tuberculous peritonitis which based on literature manifested some gastrointestinal disorders. Diagnostic confirmation was accomplished by conducting serum-ascites albumin gradient (SAAG) of < 1.1 g/dL, peritoneal thickening and the presence of ascites with fine mobile septations on ultrasound, positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) TB from ascitic fluid. Patients received conventional antitubercular therapy for 12 months of rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol. The addition of corticosteroids for the first two or three months of treatment may reduce the incidence of late complications arising from adhesive disease, such as small bowel obstruction
