Equilibrium and off-equilibrium simulations of the 4d Gaussian spin glass
In this paper we study the on and off-equilibrium properties of the four
dimensional Gaussian spin glass. In the static case we determine with more
precision that in previous simulations both the critical temperature as well as
the critical exponents. In the off-equilibrium case we settle the general form
of the autocorrelation function, and show that is possible to obtain
dynamically, for the first time, a value for the order parameter.Comment: 16 pages and 13 figures, uses epsfig.sty and rotate.sty. Some minor

D and D-S decay constants from QCD duality at three loops
We compute the decay constants of the pseudoscalar mesons D and D_{s} using a linear combination of finite energy sum rules which minimize the contribution of the unknown continuum spectral function. We employ the recent three loop calculation of the pseudoscalar two-point function expanded in powers of the running charm quark mass. The theoretical uncertainties arising from the QCD asymptotic expansion are quite relevant in this case due to the relative small scale of the charm mass. We obtain the following results: f_{D}=177 \pm 21 MeV and f_{D_{s}}=205 \pm 22 MeV. These results, within the error bars, are in good agreement with estimates obtained using Borel transform QCD sum rules, but somewhat smaller than results of recent lattice computations
Ward Identities, B-> \rho Form Factors and |V_ub|
The exclusive FCNC beauty semileptonic decay B-> \rho is studied using Ward
identities in a general vector meson dominance framework, predicting vector
meson couplings involved. The long distance contributions are discussed which
results to obtain form factors and |V_ub|. A detailed comparison is given with

Confining strings in representations with common -ality
We study the spectrum of confining strings in SU(3) pure gauge theory, by
means of lattice Monte Carlo simulations, using torelon operators in different
representations of the gauge group. Our results provide direct evidence that
the string spectrum is according to predictions based on -ality. Torelon
correlations in the rank-2 symmetric channel appear to be well reproduced by a
two-exponential picture, in which the lowest state is given by the fundamental
string , the heavier string state is such that the ratio
is approximately given by the Casimir ratio , and the torelon has a much smaller overlap with the
lighter fundamental string state.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure
Determination of the b quark mass at the M_Z scale with the DELPHI detector at LEP
An experimental study of the normalized three-jet rate of b quark events with
respect to light quarks events (light= \ell \equiv u,d,s) has been performed
using the CAMBRIDGE and DURHAM jet algorithms. The data used were collected by
the DELPHI experiment at LEP on the Z peak from 1994 to 2000. The results are
found to agree with theoretical predictions treating mass corrections at
next-to-leading order. Measurements of the b quark mass have also been
performed for both the b pole mass: M_b and the b running mass: m_b(M_Z). Data
are found to be better described when using the running mass. The measurement
yields: m_b(M_Z) = 2.85 +/- 0.18 (stat) +/- 0.13 (exp) +/- 0.19 (had) +/- 0.12
(theo) GeV/c^2 for the CAMBRIDGE algorithm. This result is the most precise
measurement of the b mass derived from a high energy process. When compared to
other b mass determinations by experiments at lower energy scales, this value
agrees with the prediction of Quantum Chromodynamics for the energy evolution
of the running mass. The mass measurement is equivalent to a test of the
flavour independence of the strong coupling constant with an accuracy of 7

Study of double-tagged gamma gamma events at LEPII
Double-tagged interactions of photons with virtualities Q^2 between 10 GeV^2
and 200 GeV^2 are studied with the data collected by DELPHI at LEPII from 1998
to 2000, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 550 pb^{-1}. The gam*
gam* -> mu+mu- data agree with QED predictions. The cross-section of the
reaction gam* gam* -> hadrons is measured and compared to the LO and NLO BFKL

Light Quark Physics on Different Lattices
The light quark results from three different simulations are summarized. We
get consistent results, within our statistics, between smeared and non smeared
data. A comparison is performed with similar results from the UKQCD
collaboration. All runs have been performed on two 6.4 GF APE computers
