    Children's Character Education in The Principles of Self-Identity Malay Perspective Tenas Effendy

    The greatest challenge in the current era of globalization and modernization is to uphold and impart moral values and character to children. There are numerous cases where children lose their direction and ethics due to the influence of various media, technology, and foreign cultures. This research aims to examine the values of early childhood character education from the perspective of Malay identity principles by Tenas Effendy. The study employs a literature review method (library research). Data collection techniques involve studying literature and documentation of Tenas Effendy's writings on Malay Identity Principles. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The research findings indicate that the values of children's character education in the Malay identity principles perspective of Tenas Effendy encompass eight aspects: religious character, honesty, hardworking nature, independence, responsibility, social concern, environmental awareness, and friendly/communicative nature. Therefore, implementing these noble values in children can help shape a strong foundation of character. This doesn't only prepare children for academic success but also builds a moral and ethical groundwork that will guide them in facing future challenges

Pada fase ini, seluruh potensi dan bakat pada diri anak mengalami peningkatan yang luar biasa melalui pengembangan kreativitasnya. Bahkan fase ini menentukan perkembangan anak pada tahap selanjutnya. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan suatu program pendidikan untuk anak usia dini sangat tergantung pada pengelolaan sumber belajar. Pengelolaan merupakan hal yang sangat penting dilakukan dalam setiap kegiatan. Pentingya penggunaan media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu faktor yang senantiasa mendapatkan perhatian dari pengelola taman kanak-kanak. Hal ini dikarenakan keberhasilan guru dalam mengembangkan aspek yang dimiliki anak tidak lepas dari kemampuannya dalam mengelola alat permainan khususnya alat permainan edukatif. Meningkatkan kecerdasan fisik-motorik anak sangat penting, Karena suksesnya perkembangan tersebut menjadi landasan bagi perkembangan pada aspek yang lain. Untuk mencapainya, dapat dilakukan dengan menstimulasi anak. Hal ini karena stimulasi dianggap dapat menimbulkan respons yang berefek sebagai latihan motorik. Anak usia dini akan lebih senang untuk melakukan gerakan fisik sebagai wujud untuk mengeksplor dirinya, dan bereksperimen. Pengalaman bermain yang menyenangkan dengan menggunakan bahan APE akan menunjang keberhasilan pembelajaran, yang mana penggunaannya disesuaikan dengan tingkat perkembangan anak sehingga membantu anak untuk berkembang dengan optimal

    Dewasa ini nilai-nilai moral dalam masyarakat semakin terbuka menyebabkan perubahan dalam perilaku anak. Tanpa sadar, anak terpapar informasi yang belum tentu baik dan bermanfaat. Kekerasan, ucapan kasar, dan bullying yang ditonton di TV, dilihat, dan dialami, dapat memberi pesan negatif pada anak, pada endingnya berdampak buruk dalam penerapan moralitas sosial dalam masyarakat. Kaum liberal mengatakan, standar moral dapat direvisi atau sepenuhnya dapat berubah segaris dengan kehendak manusia. Sesuatu yang dianggap baik oleh suatu sistem feodalistik, mungkin tidak dapat diterima oleh suatu bentuk kehidupan yang berbeda, oleh karenanya standarisasi moral akan berubah sesuai dengan kondisi zaman. Jika kaum konservatif mempertahankan bahwa standar-standar moral yang mendasar tak dapat berubah, maka aliran kontemporer mengatakan bahwa standar moral bisa berubah secara progresif. Kehidupan sosial-budaya yang bagus, belum tentu baik dalam pandangan orang lain. Ini dikarenakan seperangkat mata dan pengalaman yang berbeda disegenap lapisan masyarakat. Dari sini pula muncul alasan, pentingnya penguatan karakter bagi anak dengan menerapkan pola pengasuhan yang melatih anak untuk mulai mengenal benar dan salah, serta memberi teladan dan membiasakan perilaku baik. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Moral, Didikan Subuh, al-Qur’a

    Evaluation of Critical Control Points (CCPS) in the Production of ‘Daddawa’ (African Locust Bean Cake) in Dawakin –Tofa Local Government area, Kano State, Nigeria

    Hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) was carried out during the production of African locust bean seeds condiment (Daddawa) in a location that specialized in it’s manufacturing namely Kwanar – yandaddawa (Dawakin – Tofa Local Government Area) Kano State, Nigeria. The analyses consisted of determination of the aerobic, anaerobic mesophilic bacterial, staphylococcal and fungal counts. In addition, detection of E. coli 0157: H7, Staphylococcus aureus and Clostridium perfringens on the raw seeds before processing and the processed daddawa were also carried out. The raw seeds, processed seeds, production stages and additives had high total microbial count in the range of 109 - 1011cfu/g, which is above the maximum acceptable limit of 105cfu/g. Bacteria isolated and biochemically characterized were Staphylococcus spp, Clostridium perfringens and E. coli 0157: H7. Mucor and Rhizopus were the fungal genera frequently isolated from most of the samples with Aspergillus fumigatus least isolated. Clostridium botulinum was not isolated at Kwanar yandaddawa. The raw seeds, sand used in dehauling, diluents, pawpaw leaves used as additives as well as final molding, comparing (tabletting) and display for sale to consumers are therefore regarded as a critical control points.Keywords: Aerobes, anaerobes, E. coli 0157: H7, Critical Control Points

    Kepemimpinan adalah seseorang yang dapat mempengaruhi, mendorong, mengajak, menuntun, menggerakkan orang lain agar menerima pengaruh sesuatu yang dapat membantu pencapaian tujuan tertentu. Kepemimpinan pada hakikatnya berhubungan dengan tenaga manusia atau kelompok yang terorganisasi, dan sebagai satu kekuatan atau potensi. Salah satu pedoman itu adalah kewajiban manusia untuk mentaati segala yang diperintahkan untuk kehidupan yang lebih baik dan menjauhi segala larangan untuk menghindari diri dari perbuatan tercela. Dalam perjalanan dinamika kehidupan manusia, ternyata manusia tidak bisa hidup sendiri, manusia membutuhkan seorang pemimpin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana konsep kepemimpinan dalam Islam, memahami apa itu kepemimpinan, kepemimpinan dalam Islam, dan apa urgensi seorang pemimpin dalam lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research), dalam penganalisisan data model metode ini menggunakan model analisis deskriptif.     The entrepreneurial values such as independent, creativity, risk-taking ability, and responsibility play an important role in directing early childhood development, especially in the aspect of social-emotional, language, and cognitive. Khalifah kindergarten which is based on entrepreneurship, support the life skills development of children with several of excellent programs for example Market Day. This study is intended to know the reason of Khalifah Kindergarten in applying entrepreneurship program, the process and impact of the program on the aspects of early childhood development. The findings of this study are: first, Khalifah Kindergarten wants to achieve its mission in integrating entrepreneurial values in all aspects of early childhood development by introducing them to become Muslims entrepreneur. Second, the process of increasing the entrepreneurial values is implemented through Beyond Centre and Circle Time (BCCT) learning system, entrepreneurship activities such as market day, cooking classes, field trips,  angklung music as an extracurricular activity, and habituation through continuous interviews with the students. Third, the impact of entrepreneurial values can be proved in several aspects of development. In the social-emotional aspect, the children have empathy for others. In the cognitive aspect, the children have creative thinking.     Rib head protrusion into the central canal in type 1 neurofibromatosis

    Intraspinal rib head dislocation is an important but under-recognized consequence of dystrophic scoliosis in patients with neurofibromatosis 1 (NF1). To present clinical and imaging findings of intraspinal rib head dislocation in NF1. We retrospectively reviewed clinical presentation, imaging, operative reports and post-operative courses in four NF1 patients with intraspinal rib head dislocation and dystrophic scoliosis. We also reviewed 17 cases from the English literature. In each of our four cases of intraspinal rib head dislocation, a single rib head was dislocated on the convex apex of the curve, most often in the mid- to lower thoracic region. Cord compression occurred in half of these patients. Analysis of the literature yielded similar findings. Only three cases in the literature demonstrates the MRI appearance of this entity; most employ CT. All of our cases include both MRI and CT; we review the subtle findings on MRI. Although intraspinal rib head dislocation is readily apparent on CT, sometimes MRI is the only cross-sectional imaging performed. It is essential that radiologists become familiar with this entity, as subtle findings have significant implications for surgical management

    Nutrition and cancer: A review of the evidence for an anti-cancer diet

    It has been estimated that 30–40 percent of all cancers can be prevented by lifestyle and dietary measures alone. Obesity, nutrient sparse foods such as concentrated sugars and refined flour products that contribute to impaired glucose metabolism (which leads to diabetes), low fiber intake, consumption of red meat, and imbalance of omega 3 and omega 6 fats all contribute to excess cancer risk. Intake of flax seed, especially its lignan fraction, and abundant portions of fruits and vegetables will lower cancer risk. Allium and cruciferous vegetables are especially beneficial, with broccoli sprouts being the densest source of sulforophane. Protective elements in a cancer prevention diet include selenium, folic acid, vitamin B-12, vitamin D, chlorophyll, and antioxidants such as the carotenoids (α-carotene, β-carotene, lycopene, lutein, cryptoxanthin). Ascorbic acid has limited benefits orally, but could be very beneficial intravenously. Supplementary use of oral digestive enzymes and probiotics also has merit as anticancer dietary measures. When a diet is compiled according to the guidelines here it is likely that there would be at least a 60–70 percent decrease in breast, colorectal, and prostate cancers, and even a 40–50 percent decrease in lung cancer, along with similar reductions in cancers at other sites. Such a diet would be conducive to preventing cancer and would favor recovery from cancer as well
